Waste of powder.

Norfolk, April 20.
--There was some heavy cannonading yesterday afternoon at the Ripraps, from which thirty-one shells were thrown at Sewell's Point without damage. Discharges of musketry, continuing for several hours, were heard Friday and Saturday nights, supposed to be some distance above Newport News.
