The Germans Insulted again.
--Four years age the Hon. Carl Schurz was nominated by the Republicans of Wisconsin for the office of Lientenant Governor, and though all the rest of the ticket was elected, Mr. Schurz was allowed to be badly beaten. Two years later, the nominating Convention refused to name him for Governor, and he indignantly declined a nomination for Lieutenant Governor. At the recent election, the candidate of the Republican party was a Mr. Soloman, of Milwankie, a most worthy and estimable gentleman; and yet the Milwankie Seatinel, of yesterday, announces that all the Republican ticket except Mr. Soloman--the only German on it — has been elected. The coincidence is a remarkable one. Twice has a German been nominated for Lieutenant Governor, and twice has the German--personally unobjectionable — been selected for ignominious defeat.--Chicago Post.
