North Carolina

--The Legislature of North Carolina on Thursday unanimously repealed the 5th section of the 76th chap. of the Revised Code, which requires all officers in that State to take an oath to support the Constitution of the United States before entering on their duties. The Act further provides that it shall not be lawful to administer any such oath or affirmation to any officer, civil or military.
