Narrow escape.

--On Monday morning last, at an early hour, the apartment of Mrs. Elizabeth A. Probst. a widow, living at the corner of 14th and Dock streets, caught fire by accident, and the flames communicating to articles of clothing about the room, there was every prospect of a general conflagration.--Fortunately, watchmen Bolton and McConnal discovered the fire, and by active exertion, succeeded in extinguishing it.
