Extract from the Constitution of the Evangelical Tract Society :

Art. XI. To promote in the highest degree the object of this society, the officers and the directors shall be elected from different denominations of Christians. The Publishing Committee shall contain no two members from the same ecclesiastical connection, and no tract shall be published to which any member of that Committee shall object.
