φίλων … οἰκετῶν. The opening scene with the “τροφός” illustrates these kindly relations. Cp. Eur. Alc.194 f., when Alcestis takes leave of her attached “οἰκέται”:—“κοὔτις ἦν οὕτω κακὸς” | “ὃν οὐ προσεῖπε καὶ προσερρήθη πάλιν.—εἰσορωμένη”: the midd., as Soph. El.1060“ἐσορώμενοι”.
