Another program highlighting the terrible damage they have done to innocent familys and lives ruined by the post office. They are still using horizon which a lot of people wouldn't know, still ruining lives. These ex bosses really need long prison sentences now...

Upon Arrival to Corby Village post…

Upon Arrival to Corby Village post office asked for signature upon delivery of my letter, I was informed it would be £7.95. I explained that was a little expensive, to which I was told to hurry up make a decision, and given no other options. I proceeded to my other local post office, they informed me the cost was actually £3.05. This is clear overcharging with abad attitude

Post Office boring the brunt of Morrisons shortcomings

This is aimed directly at the Post Office who have thought it ‘a good idea’ to give postal counters to Morrisons small supermarkets. Did they bother to do any due diligence in staff recruitment and training?
Nearly every one in the Worksop area are either closed, due to staff shortages or have a total lack of awareness of product.
The time served at counters is ridiculous.
A follow up review to the best post office in this area follows on.
Hopefully the new PO takeover will implement new stringent methods to Morrison’s or withdraw the service.
We have complained to Morrisons, who in turn sent me a link to complain to…….the Post Office, even though it’s Morrisons staff making a complete pigs ear of the service.

Joke Customer Service

I tried 3 times to find a branch in my area offering Driving Licence renewal. Your search locator couldn’t find my postcode or the two main towns nearby which I know for a fact both have branches in WH Smith.
I rang your help number on my renewal form and my postcode couldn’t be found that way either and my call was rejected. I rang the ‘contact us number’again hoping to speak to an actual person. Despite selecting numerous options it was impossible to get the help I needed and my calls were terminated rather than offering a route to get help.
It should not be so hard to access this basic information. Nor should it be this difficult to contact you, it’s just not good enough and you should be ashamed of the inadequate (joke) service you are fobbing people off with.
I would have given -1 if this was an option

2 weeks of failed deliveries of 3 items…

2 weeks of failed deliveries of 3 items 2 cheap items 1 expensive item £400 ,, failed notes for the cheap items every day except for expensive item with no trace on their app a call every day for 8 days of atleast 45 minutes per call and only when I back checked Ebay for a delivery number and gave to them it got delivered today was a 51 minute call to again redirect the last parcel to the local post office with call handler telling that I personally requested to be delivered to my home ,, lies again by the post office .. I have spent atleast 6 hours in total on mostly on hold to chase my property.. in my opinion it was an internal scam to distract by staff at the sorting to steal my parcel .. ( they have exray machines and saw it was a mobile phone ) hence they never left a delivery note for me to trace its location and arrange a post office pick up location .. prove me wrong

Philpott St. Post Office, Stepney, London E1: AVOID

The male (manager?) at this branch that sometimes serves at the customer 'service' counter is impatient, rude, aggressive, and argumentative. Avoid this Post Office at all costs. There are many other Post Office branches in the London E1 area that are much better. For example, Globe Road Post Office (Stepney Green) are customer friendly, polite, and efficient, so maybe give them a try instead.

TERRIBLE exchange rate!

Firstly and positively, a lovely lady served me!

Sadly, I then parted with over £151.81 to receive the equivalent of £131.60, at todays exchange rate, in Turkish Lira ( that's 5600TRY exactly ).

Obviously I am not a walking currency calculator, so I trusted that a local, non emergency exchange, at the Post Office was going to be cheaper than withdrawing in Turkey, or changing money at the airport. However, I have checked everywhere and there isn't a worse exchange rate I can find on the internet. Even Heathrow, and a few other airports exchange services are better.

I feel quite strange and irritated that I "exchanged" £151.86 for £131.60. That's almost 15% commission. I'm not arguing it should be free, but had they said "Thank you. That's 5600 Turkish Lira in return, which is £131.50 in English money", I would have said I wasn't happy and declined to proceed. I had no idea the swap was so fruitful in the Post Offices favour.

I am honestly quite annoyed because I believed I was being sensible, but I lost over £20 by swapping money for money. I didn't buy anything.

Definitely a hard lesson learnt. Don't believe the "guidance" and just use your card or machines out there. You'll get far far far better than 15% commission! Madness and greed!

USELESS POST OFFICE

Not surprised the post office only has one and a half stars with what I had just experienced.
Purchased postal orders worth £240 and also paid commission for it of about £50 for passport applications for my children but due to a long divorce battle and refusal to grant consent from my ex wife, postal orders were over a year old.
Sent postal order to post office head office 1 future walk with evidence of divorce certificate and passport applications etc and asked for replacement or refund.
Shock horror after 4 weeks I get a letter back saying sorry your money is toast plus the commission paid for the worthless pieces of paper called postal orders and here are your old postal orders back for you to destroy.
So unethical and lack of empathy that I spend my tax free money plus another £50 on commission paid to purchase a pieces of worthless postal orders that don’t have any value after a year.
This is my money down the drain and these fat cats cream away billions of profits.
If zero star was available then the post office is defo worth ZERO STARS

DO NOT GET CAR INSURANCE VIA THE POST…

DO NOT GET CAR INSURANCE VIA THE POST OFFICE.
They are total crooks, they are effectively nothing but a brokers but add on over 20% and do nothing for you. What they do is complicate the whole process and use dodgy insurance companies who you would not probably normally use. Every claim made, you are treated like you are deliberately trying to make a false claim. It really is disgraceful! Keep well away! Alas the whole of the post office is now a complete shambles - rotten to the core!!

Bilsborrow Post Office

Bilsborrow Post Office
Complaint.
Set in a rural location it seems it costs 50 pence for a single photocopy page and while I understand today’s technology can make things easier for the elderly who are not computer literate it is discrimination!

I went to this post office today to get a DWP claim form for an elderly resident on benefits and medical evidence photocopied and sent to DWP. It cost me £15.00 to copy 30 pages which I am sorry I think is absolutely taking the Micheal! Postage was free!
On my complaint the staff seem to think this is justified and my comments were met with a so what attitude, this task also took about 20 minutes to complete, disgusting service.
Will never use this post office again, they are an absolute rip off and gave the impression they do not care at all about local residents especially those in need within the community.
So much for community spirit, a complete let down.
Disgusted with service received and I hope I can claim these fees back for the person I was trying to help living within my community.
Extremely dissatisfied customer. !!!

You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Post Office, Barrow, Suffolk

The Post Office new location is now within the village supermarket Matt and though it is quite cramped inside they were determined to provide this service for the villagers. Initially the staff were unfamiliar with their role but they soon embraced the new role with great enthusiasm and efficiency. They are truly remarkable and very helpful and yesterday when l tried to post a recorded letter, l entered the incorrect post code but the post lady immediately use her own phone to trace the correct postcode. They are the best and the most friendly and jolly people. l really adore them.

Golders Green branch - horrible staff

In Golders Green branch Post Office the staff is absolutely careless, treating people just like numbers. They don't bother to listen to details of a situation, do not bother to accommodate needs. Pretending to work "by the book" when it comes to an extra cm to a parcel size and sending people back without at least suggesting an option. And other times they just talk among themselves, moving in slow motion when the queue is very long.
I would only use Evri or other companies to deliver parcels, but never again Royal Mail.

Online savings

So antiquated. You cannot communicate by email or chat, only by post or over the phone. They communicate everything by post. It’s such a slow process by the time you receive a letter it’s already out of date. Was given incorrect information over the phone twice. Couldn’t get my money out of the savings account quick enough.

Green End, Whitchurch, Shropshire

I asked for tracked 1st class mail for a £250 camera being sent for warranty replacement - my parcel had a full "deliver to" address and a full "return address". It was only after my camera failed to arrive that I checked my receipt and found that the post office counter clerk had failed to add tracking and entered my home address on the system as the delivery address. The Post Office will not answer my complaints and now, nearly a month after, my camera is well and truly lost. I am disgusted with this "lack of care or service" and will avoid using the post office for anything further. If I could give a no star experience, I would!

Everything to do with this business is…

Everything to do with this business is not fit for purpose. From the so called tracking information, which doesn’t work until they’ve attempted to deliver the item for some strange reason, to the constant mistakes by the people who are supposed to be doing the delivering. The whole thing is pathetic.

Rude staff

I queued outside Cambridge central Post Office this morning waiting for it to open. I was literally the third person in and started to walk to the Bureau de Change desk where there was a member of staff waiting and no customers. I got called back rudely by a lady member of staff standing at the front doling out tickets - I hadn't realised I needed one so my mistake but the way she did it was really rude: "Where are you going? You can't just bypass me" she announced loudly to everyone. I took the ticket and went to the Bureau de Change desk - still empty of customers - put my ticket on the counter and asked for some Euros. "I haven't called you yet" he said, smirking. So I had to stand back while he just sat there smirking, doing nothing, waiting for him to press the buzzer. I left without travel money and took my business elsewhere. My fault for not knowing their system but it's a genuine mistake and there's no need to be so rude.

Does the postoffice actually come to a property anymore. Had to items showing delivered but no postman ever came close to the property (should see it on video). No red card left to collect twice! Items returned and i have to pay for delivery 3rd time now. UNACCEPTABLE!!! I will now send an item to myself to log a case for the ombudsman!
