Positive Inkers Blog Hop - November 2022

Hello there stamping friends! I’m thrilled to blog hop today with the Positive Inkers Design TeamWe are a group of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators from around the globe who are super-excited to share our love of creativity. I’m so happy you stopped by today!

If this is the fist time you are visiting, please let me introduce myself. My name is Anne Marie Hile and I live in San Antonio, Texas. Welcome!
Our theme for this month is: Treat Packaging with a Matching Gift Tag

I decided to make a fun little set that would be great for so many occasions. With holiday parties coming up, this makes a wonderful gift for the host. It is also great for a housewarming, birthday or just a special treat to let someone know you are thinking of them.

*I’ve listed all of the measurements and details for my projects below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this post.
I used products in the BRAND NEW Fitting Florets Collection which are available starting today, 11/1! This collection features the new Framed Florets Bundle which will be featured in the upcoming in the January-June 2023 Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalog. There are also three coordinating products in this collection which are “while supplies last”. (see below)

I’m currently obsessed with this collection and have been creating with it non-stop! Get more details HERE

The following exclusive products are only available while supplies last:

  • Framed & Festive Cling Stamp Set (item 160888)
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (item 161814)
  • Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls (item 161822)
Color Combo:
My "treat packaging" is this sweet little box which perfectly fits two votive candles. Of course, there are many other treats that could fit in this box as well. When all else fails...add chocolate, right? The box comes together easily and the focal floral image is die cut from the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper, which is great because the stamping and shading is already done! As a matter of fact, the only stamping on this project is the sentiment. So easy, especially if you are making multiples.
Box Measurements & Details:
  • Polished Pink Cardstock: 7-1/2” x 8-1/2”
  • On the short (7-1/2”) side: score at 2” and 5-1/2”
  • On the long (8-1/2”) side: score at 2”, 4”, 6” and 8”
  • Cut and trim the box using the photo below as a guide
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (while supplies last): 1-3/4” x 3-1/4” (3 pieces) and 1-3/4” x 1-3/4” (2 pieces)
  • Add candles (or treats) to box and tie closed with Soft Succulent Open-Weave Ribbon.
  • Die cut banner from Stylish Shapes Dies and stamp sentiment in Momento ink
  • Die cut floral image from Fitting Florets DSP
  • Die cut leaves from Evening Evergreen Cardstock and Gold Specialty Paper
  • Add Wink of Stella to floral image for added sparkle.
My second project is a coordinating tag which is can be used a lot of different ways! It is perfect to dress up a bottle of wine, which is one of my favorite host gifts as we enter the holiday season. If wine isn’t your thing, this tag would also work to dress up a fancy bottle of gourmet oil, vinegar or maybe a specialty coffee flavoring.

I just love little tags like this because they are super-versatile and come together really quickly. I used a lot of the same elements as the box and the only stamping is the sentiment. I just can’t say enough about this DSP! I die-cut another floral image, same as the first and trimmed it down so the flower was a little smaller. I’m always a fan of DSP that has dies that will cut out the images. I’m going to need to snag a few more packs of this one. Remember, it is only while supplies last, even though the stamps and dies are carrying into the upcoming Mini Catalog. Finally, I popped on some of the Gold Adhesive-Backed Swirls to accent the leaves. These are also while supplies last, so grab them while you can!
Tag Measurements & Details:
  • Polished Pink (use the leftover cardstock after cutting the box): 3-1/4” x 7-1/4
  • On the long (7-1/4”) side: score at 2-1/2"
  • Die cut the top or the tag with the third largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies
  • Soft Succulent Cardstock: 3” x 4-1/2”
  • Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper (while supplies last): 2-7/8” x 4-3/8”
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to die cut the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies, stamp sentiment in Momento ink
  • Die cut leaf accents from Gold Specialty Paper and Evening Evergreen Cardstock
  • Die cut floral image from the DSP with the Framed Florets Dies, trim down
  • God Adhesive-Backed Swirls (while supplies last) and Soft Succulent Open-Weave Ribbon

October 2021 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

Hello Stamping Friends! Today, I’m super-excited to share the October 2021 Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This hop is hosted by Sara Levin and we share on the second Sunday of every month. Our theme for the month is “As the Season Turns”.
Here in South Texas, the fall season is FINALLY on the horizon. This week the temps are not expected to go over 90 degrees and by next weekend we should be in the 70 degree range. That means it will be in the mid-50’s at night. I’m SO excited! That is “Texas Sweater Weather” and I can hear a few of you laughing.

I was born and raised in Upstate New York, so I’m not a stranger to cold weather. I’ve just acclimated a bit to the never-ending summer here in San Antonio. One of the things I miss the most from living up north is the fall season. The gorgeous colors, the falling leaves...that smell in the air as the colder weather moves in.

All of the measurements for my project are listed below and there is a full supply list at the very end of this blog post.

For my projects, I decided to use the Wonderful Woods stamp set to showcase some of those gorgeous fall colors I am absolutely smitten with. I love the silhouette tree image in this set and the sentiments are perfect for so many occasions. It was one of the first sets I purchased from the Stampin’ Up!® August - December Mini Catalog and it pairs up beautifully with the Intricate Leaves Dies for fall.
I used Sponge Daubers to add that gorgeous fall sky to the background using Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, Bumblebee, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink. After I sponged and blended the inks, I spritzed the cardstock with some rubbing alcohol (70%) in a Stampin’ Spritzer. The alcohol helps to set the ink but also adds a little bit of “splotchy” texture to the background, which I love!
Card Measurements and Details:
  • Cajun Craze Card Base: 4-1/4” x 11”, scored at 5-1/2”
  • Rich Razzleberry Cardstock: 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 3-7/8” x 5-1/8”, embossed with Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, add Crumb Cake ink around the edges with Crumb Cake ink
  • Cork Specialty Paper: 3-7/8” x 5/8”, die cut using scalloped edge from Penned Flowers Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: 3-1/2” x 4-1/2”, stamp images in Early Espresso ink and sponge ink on the background using Sponge Daubers in Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, Bumblebee, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks
  • Spritz the stamped and inked layer with rubbing alcohol (70%) to help blend the colors and add some texture to the background
  • Rich Razzleberry Cardstock: scrap to die cut leaf from Intricate Leaves Dies
  • Basic White Cardstock: scrap to stamp sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and die cut using the Ornate Frames Dies
  • Add some Crumb Cake ink around the edges of the sentiment label and add some drops of Wink of Stella with Crumb Cake ink
  • Gold Simply Elegant Trim and Metallic Pearls
My coordinating project is a Post-It holder. I make these a lot for gifts and I know I’ve shared it on my blog before. I “tested” my sponged background on a smaller piece before making my card and I didn’t want it to go to waste. So, I went with a favorite project that is not only practical, but super-easy to make. I know I can ALWAYS use some extra Post-It’s, how about you?

Post-It Holder Measurements and Details:
  • Cajun Craze Card Base: 3-1/4” x 7”
  • On long side, score at 3-1/4” x 3-3/4”
  • Rich Razzleberry Cardstock: 3” x 3”
  • Basic White Cardstock: 2-3/4” x 2-3/4”, stamp images in Early Espresso ink and sponge ink on the background using Sponge Daubers in Night of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, Rich Razzleberry, Cajun Craze, Bumblebee, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks
I hope you enjoyed these projects today! Please continue along on the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop to check out more awesome creative inspiration.
