OOTD: Christmas Eve

{Trying to be a Kate Spade model.... did it work?}

Christmas Eve was full of fun and festive happenings. I wanted my Christmas Eve ensemble to be super festive and fun at the same time. My look I feel is very vintage/ Kate Spade inspired for some reason.

For the occasion I rented a dress from Rent the Runway. Renting is super easy and simple when it comes to RTR and I would highly suggest it if you wanted to have a super nice dress for only a night.
This dress is from the brand BCBG. I own some of there dresses so I know for sure the fit would be good. To no surprise the dress fit like a glove and was super flattering. It had tight fitting sleeves and a tight bodice and flared out from the waist. The fabric was a mix of see through lace with a skin colored under part so you didn't actually see any skin.
The dress was super fun and I think worked great for the holidays.

Pairing the dress with red tights, gold heels, and a gold skinny belt I think screamed Christmas! Like I said, I wanted my look to be super fun and full of Christmas spirit. Whenever I wear tights I think of one Gossip Girl episode which inspired me to buy the tights in the first place. So in a way I felt like Blair Waldorf in this look.

I've always been a gold over silver person. Which is why I loved adding the gold accents to my holiday look. The heels are super festive and add an unexpected touch of glam to my look. Also, they stand out well against the red tights!

To complete the look I wore bright bold red lips of course! And I styled my hair a little differently. But, ever since then I have styled my hair like it because I am kind of obsessed with the extra touch of volume it gives to my hair.

Overall, I loved this Christmas look!

{My statement gold heels. I love how there is a little bit of silver in the shoe if you wanted to do a mix metals look!}

{A Christmas selfie? Yes I am that "Basic". However, I felt super vintage and glamorous so I think its acceptable right?}

My brother and I. I think he looks quite dapper in his little striped sweater and khakis.

Holiday Outfits: Christmas Dinners

Holiday Outfits: Christmas Dinners
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. Naturally you have to pick the perfect Christmas dinner ensemble. Your Christmas dinner or brunch outfits should be three things: fun, festive, and sophisticated.

Most of the time you are with family and friends so keep things classy people. Watch your hemlines, necklines, and don't show to much skin. You can still look cute without showing off what you got!
Stick with classic silhouettes and fun fabrics, colors, and sparkle to spice up your look.

Christmas Dinner Outfits

Gold: This dress is a simple and classic look. It's very sophisticated but still fun at the same time. I love the cap sleeve detail and the pleats in the skirt. It gives it a very girly feel. Accessorize your gold dress with a fun pair of red or colored heels then a simple pair of dangle earrings.
Vamp red: For a more sexy look try a leather inspired body con dress. This one may be Burberry but you can re-create this look with a dark red body con. Pair your dress with a fun pair of edgy heels like this pair from Kate Spade. Then a simple pair of black studs will complete your look.
Pop of color: A fun look to try is having a black and white dress with one accent color. This black and white bow dress is a great option. You probably have a simple cotton dress like this in your closet but you can dress it up for the holidays. Simply pair a fun pair of heels with it, a nice bag, and a crystal statement necklace.
Collars: I love a collared dress for the holidays. The neckline is modest enough to wear to a family gathering but it is still fun and playful. Pair your simple dress with a pair of nice flats and a bag and you are ready for a family party.

I love this gold lace dress on Blair from a Gossip Girl holiday episode!

Lauren Conrad looking gorgeous in a sequin dress and a up do for the holidays.
