Staying at: Into The Wild Escapes: Tiny Charlotte in Dalton, NSW (May 2023)

We have been a family of three for 19 months now and we just love simple holidays like this. Some beautiful scenery, shared feelings about how cold it is, hugs and lots of laughter. Hailey loved being driven in the garden cart the most!

Staying at: Into The Wild Escapes: Tiny Charlotte in Dalton, NSW (May 2023)

At only 19 months old, Hailey led the adventure and we just came along for the ride.
Her priorities were making sure we ate pan seared toast together, we say 'baa' when we see sheep, her pebbles stayed on the steps, when we hear 'shoe' we take our boots on or off and that we can't make her wear a beanie even though it was deathly cold.

An Escape: To Long Jetty, NSW Australia

Hi Everyone! Just a quick blogpost to keep up my goal of documenting memories and the places I've visited. A year ago, me and Hai were had a quick escape to Long Jetty from our daily lives.
Its a different world this year, and I didn't plan any time away... but I'm hoping that I get to soon.

Lately I've been obsessed with the latest Shawn Mendes releases... that is 'Intro' and 'Wonder'. This is the sort of music I blog for - beautiful, captivating, delicate, graceful yet powerful. Too many words? I don't know, I guess words can't describe how wonderous these new songs are. And the MVs... are visually stunning, and I keep streaming them. I can't wait for his album coming out November. And of course for BTS's new BE album. Don't expect to hear from me this month!

I guess if I can't escape physically, I at least can escape with music. <3

What music are you guys listening to? Please drop me your suggestions. I am open to anything :)

Mayfield Garden's Winter Festival (Part Two)

Friday, September 18, 2020

Wearing: Wool Coat & Beanie from Nasty GalBettina Liano Jeans; Boots from Asos

Visiting: Mayfield Gardens during Winter Festival, 530 Mayfield Road, Oberon, NSW 2787. Winter Festival fee per person: $26.00 AUD per person. Last garden entry is 3pm. The garden shuts at 4:30pm (during Winter). All photos taken by me and Hai with Canon D70 DSLR

Following up from Part One of my trip to Mayfield Gardens, I am saving these photos so I can relive these memories from Winter. My favourite seasons are Spring and Fall but this year Winter left a lasting impression on me after visiting these gardens.

At the Gardens, the leaves fell slowly, leaving brown and red ones still piled up on the ground while some speckled the tree tops. The leaves would crunch beneath my heavy boots while I traced my fingers along the cool stone fences. Air was chilly to breathe but it healed me every time because I was happy to be outside. I would wrap myself with my coat and pull my beanie down tighter against the breeze; the scarf I packed stayed in my bag as the sunlight kept me warm. Hot coffee in hand, my fingers were warm, but I would put it down every time Hai reached out to hold my hand. We sat down on benches hand in hand to admire the scenery in front of us, just like in the movies. The water still and the sky a pale blue stretched out meeting the hills. The world was big and we felt small in it. But it was okay because I had someone special wanting to walk by my side through this winter.
