Doing The Polka
Gosh, I need to go shopping. I think this has been the longest I've gone without spending some cheddar. Do people still call it that? I dunno. I am pretty gangster.
Anygoingthroughwithdrawals, I have officially surpassed my record. Ruh-roh. I just need to focus on how much money I have saved. Or on these polka dot gems I've found. Meh. I think I'm going to just call it a day.
Neon Lights
Aztec Attraction
I am making my taco pizzas tonight. Yum. I've been craving them. I have also been craving anything with an Aztec motif. I love the whole Indian vibe. Here are some things I am lusting after. Olé!!
Shoe In
Okay, if I could pull off Gaga-esque shoes, I'd order any of these from Gasoline Glamour. I'd stomp around in the first feathered heels, and call it a day. Just sayin'.
It's My Party
Right before my sixteenth birthday, I looked everywhere for the perfect dress for my party. I remember my mom saying, "you are only this age once!" I know I responded with, "No, duh, Mom." I was fifteen and a total cranky teenager. But I do hate that saying. You are only (blank) once. Really?! Is that the way life works? You are telling me I won't repeat my twenty-first birthday? I am not okay with this.
Anygettingolderislame, I ended up ordering a dress from Windsor Fashions. It came in and I loved it. Back then, we used disposable cameras (old school), and I took the allotted 24 pictures during my party. I was so excited to get them developed a few days after, but to my absolute horror, something happened to the camera during the developing process. I literally cried in Walmart in front of the photo department. Needless to say, I don't have any pictures from that night.
I decided to go over to that website, because it has been so many years. The store is just called Windsor now and are still selling clothes, but it's centered more around prom and special occasion dresses. I did find some awesome sale items that are less than eleven dollars. Check it.
When In Doubt, Glitter It Out
Leaving Bear Creek Music Festival. My face is still full of metal. The music was incredible, the people were beautiful, and the memories are unforgettable. But, gosh, I'm ready to be home. I am tiiyyard.
Outfitting Me
When I got the new Urban Outfitters catalog in, I couldn't believe they had catered completely to my wardrobe wants. I mean, they could have just put, "Jade, we compiled a whole look book just for you!" That would have worked, too.
N-V-S
As things yawningly start off this morning, I stumble upon this awesome (huge emphasis on awesome) website that is sort of like Etsy. Except, it is FREE (another emphasis and caps were used)!!! They also let you customize your own store layout if you want to sell items and not blow your monies. Super legit. Stand down creepy Craigslist. I was browsing among the 8 thousand stores already open on the website and found that there are some amazing deals! Wide awake now. No nap for me!!
Who doesn't love a throw back Fresh Prince hat?!! Find this and other bomb accessories at Naturally Dope.
I have a thing for these lace rompers for babies. So cute. Could I please have one in my size to romp around in? No, not in public. This is from Fitzthum Boutique.
Faux fur jacket? Give me, now. This one is from Living Divine Vintage.
Love this retro chair. Need it in my future office. Jerrod Smith for Jerrod Creates.
Something about these kind of bags always draw me in. This handmade leather purse is from Workerman.
Chomp, chomp, chomp, loves it. Fun stickers for your Mac obsessions at Decal For That.
Cute vintage suitcase. I used to have one like this, but, alas, never slept over at anyone's house til the age of 11. I was glued to my mom's side. Total baby. Grab this one and go at Thrift Core.
I could go on for days with this post. But, I'll stop and let you browse for yourself. Keep your Santa wish list handy!!
B-A-N-A-N-A-S
So, I hear Gwen Stefani is releasing a children's clothing line called "Harajuku Mini" for Target on November 13. The collection has baby, toddler, and kid clothes ranging $4 to $3o. Great. Another Missoni fiasco just waiting to happen.
Little Boos
Can I just say that I love this Halloween costume idea? My little fashion queen will most likely go as Aubrey Hepburn when she is five, too.
Seeing that photo made me take a gander at other kid costumes. Some are pretty creative. Like this "Where the Wild Things Are" subway shot.
RoboCop. Haha.
One of my favorites, the Yo Gabba Gabba family.
Paper Doll. Cute and easy!!
And the three-armed baby. Creeptastic.
