Hi peeps!  It's dry here this morning with a little blue sky ... wonder how long it will last?  It was so nice to wake up this morning and see some sunshine, it certainly makes you feel better.

Do you remember a while ago I made samples for our friends' golden wedding invitations?  Well here is the final product.  I actually had them all done and dusted before we went to Spain in March but haven't got around to posting this before now.  It won't be long till the big occasion and Mr C and I are looking forward to spending a week with them and attending the function.

Off now to phone my friend to see if we're meeting up.  I'll need to use the landline (there's a novelty these days) as I can't use my mobile, we are both on O2 and it's caput at the moment ... grr.

Wedding Commission

I've kind of fallen by the wayside again with my blogging and challenging.  I've still got my granddaughter staying with it being the school holidays but her Mummy is off on holiday from Thursday night so hopefully things will return to normal after that - whatever normal is!!!

Anyway this card is for a friend who is going to a wedding on Saturday - yes, this Saturday so it was a quick photo last night before I popped it into an envelope and will be off to the post office just shortly with it.

Life has definitely been getting in the way of blogging and challenging these days but hopefully this coming week will be less hectic and I'll get back to 'normal'!  A friend asked me to make a couple of 'art deco' birthday cards and I had some Kanban, and stuff from a C&C kit, in my stash so I hope these have hit the spot.

     

Phew, Last Commission!

Normally I love doing commissions and personalised cards but because of the heat at the moment it's just not working. My hands are very sticky and my brain's not functioning - 'what's new' I hear you say!!! Anyway this is the last commission on my books for the moment. I'm off home to Scotland on 3 July for a couple of weeks but am going to try to do at least one challenge each day until then. Watch this space!

Alicia and Julie

Another two commissions done and dusted. These one's are for our landlady's daughter to give to her daughter (Alicia) and her sis (Julie). She wanted bookmarks on both of them and the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland for one and a Sri Lankan Buddah on the other. Got into a rut with those two and they are very similar so I hope she's pleased.

Happy Birthday Lynne

Just when I was trying to wind down a little I've been flooded with commissions. I have 10 to do and 2 are for tomorrow and I only got them today. It is a little cooler tonight as there's a breeze and I think we might be in for a storm so I thought I'd best just get stuck in.

This card is for a gent who has a stall at the market and it's his wife's birthday on Tuesday so he thought he'd better keep in her good books. I hope she likes what I've done. I was desperate to try out the new Sizzlits alphabet that arrived the other day. What a bargain - you can see it on offer of the week here.

Well, I certainly get challenging commissions! I was asked to do a combined card for the parents who are getting married and their daughter who is being baptised at the same ceremony.

I think I'm needing some tuition from any ace photographers out there as I never seem to get really good, clear pics. I'm going to have to play a bit I fear. My cards look bowed on screen but seem straight enough when I take the pic - must be the camera :-)

Digital Tuesday

Hi everyone! Hoping to get a bit of crafting and blogging done today as well as make a couple of commissions. This card is for the Digital Tuesday challenge which this week is a Sketch. I've created this card totally with digital downloads. I'm only just getting into this type of crafting but I'm finding it fantastic as everything is at your fingertips all the time and it does save some cash! OH will be happy about that. I've had to flip the layout to accomodate the image.
