LF Inspiration Week: Offset Sayings: Christmas

Good morning everyone! I hope that you're having a great week so far!

The Lawn Fawn design team is sharing projects today that feature the Offset Sayings: Christmas stamp set. This new set is so neat and there are so many fun ways to use this set! I used this set to create a fun, rainbow colored Christmas card!

I used a whole bunch of Lawn Fawn inks - a dark shade and light shade for each color. You really can't go wrong in the colors that you choose! I started with a piece of white cardstock and I began stamping the sentiment by starting in the middle. I stamped it at an angle, and then used that middle row as my reference for the other rows. It's definitely not perfect, but I love how it turned out! I first stamped the dark outline sentiment, and then went back and stamped the inside colors once all of the outlines were done.

Since the background is so busy, I made the sentiments simple by white heat embossing them onto black cardstock so that they popped against the background. I also added a few clear sequins around the sentiment for some extra detail. This card took a little bit of time with all of the stamping, but it turned out so neat!

Make sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration with this stamp set! Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your sweet comments this week! :)

Fawny Holiday Week

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying all of the inspiration from the Lawn Fawn and Lawn Fawnatics design teams for the Fawny Holiday Week! Today, I have a cute shaped card to share that features a few different sets from Lawn Fawn!

The images on these cards are from the Holiday Helpers and Sprinkled With Joy stamp sets. The images are all stamped onto Neenah 80 lbs white cardstock, colored with Copic markers, and cut with the coordinating die cuts. The image are all arranged on a white circle cut from the Dotted Circle Stackables die and attached with foam tape or glue. The sentiment from the Winter Big Scripty Words set is stamped in Cranberry ink. The rest of the sentiment is from the Sprinkled With Joy set stamped in black ink. Just make sure to not include the "be" part of the sentiment!

I added a Fancy Scalloped Circle Stackables cut from Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper behind the white circle. That patterned paper is no longer available, but it would also look really cute with the paper from the Really Rainbow Christmas paper. Then, I added another circle behind the patterned paper to make it a circle card. To finish, I added a few heart and star confetti shapes from Coconut Ice Sparkly Shaker Selection. Here's a close up on one of the cards:

I hope these have inspired you to create some Christmas cards! I can't wait to see what everyone creates! And don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Say What? Christmas Critters and Gift Tags

Hi everyone! I hope you have enjoyed all of the inspiration this week! For the last day, the Lawn Fawn design team is featuring projects that use the Say What? Christmas Critters and Gift Tags!

The critters in this set are so cute, and I really like the punny sentiments that are included in the set! The gift tag die also makes it really easy to create shaker tags!

I created a set of four shakers tags using patterned paper from the Really Rainbow Christmas collection. I also used Twinkle Lights Sparkly Shaker Selection, Coconut Ice Sparkly Shaker Selection, and Swan Lane Sparkly Shaker Selection sequins. The images are all colored with Copic markers, and I used Silver Sparkle Lawn Trimmings for the string.

These turned out so cute and I can't wait to use them on Christmas gifts this year!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Thanks A Latte

Hello again! I'm back today to share another card with you for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!

Today, the design team is showcasing the Thanks A Latte stamp set. The mugs in this set are so cute and I really like the extra stamps that are included to add marshmallows and cream to the coffee mugs. I used the heart and snowflake stamps that are included to add some detail to the outside of some of the mugs!

I first stamped the mugs onto Neenah 80 lb. cardstock. For the red and green mugs, I stamped the cream and marshmallows in the mugs and then colored them with Copic markers. For the other two mugs, I first stamped the mugs onto scrap paper and cut out the mugs by hand. Then, I used the negative piece that I cut out (the outside of the images) and taped it onto of the original stamped mugs to create a mask so that the hearts and snowflakes wouldn't stamp outside of the mug lines. After the hearts and snowflakes were stamped, I removed the mask, colored the mugs with Copic markers, and die cut the images with the coordinating die cuts.

I arranged the images onto a piece of white cardstock cut with the Dotted Rectangle Stackable die, attached the images and sentiment with foam tape, and then I attached the white cardstock panel to a piece of Woodgrain Cardstock. I also added a few clear sequins from the Coconut Ice Sparkly Shaker Selection sequin set.

Thanks so much for stopping by! There will be more inspiration tomorrow! Have a great day! :)

Happy Thanksgiving Card

Hi everyone! I'm back again to share a card that is being featured on the Sunny Studio Stamp blog! This card features the Harvest Happiness set and dies which are perfect for Thanksgiving!

The images are all stamped onto white card stock and colored with prismacolor pencils. I then attached all of the images with foam tape to help them stand out against the white background. That turkey looks like he is going to enjoy that pie! :)

I finished the card by adding a few clear sequins around the images.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other cards from the design team this week that feature the Harvest Happiness set on the Sunny Studio blog!

Lawnscaping #105 - Watercolors

Hi everyone! Sorry that my post is a little bit late. This weekend was so busy that I completely forgot to post it until now!

Anyways, the current Lawnscaping challenge is all about watercolors!

Watercolor backgrounds are always so, so pretty, but I have such a hard time making mine look as nice, so I decided to use inks as watercolors to color my images!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Best Pun Ever" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets, as well as Wild Rose, Freshly Cut Grass, and Mermaid ink pads. I also used Hero Arts Stone Wash and Butter Bar inks for the yellow and dark blue popsicles. To color the images, I dabbed the inks onto some wax paper and added some water. Then using a paint brush, I colored the images with the ink! Lawn Fawn's inks worked really well for this technique (the hero art inks turned out splotchy!)

The sponsor for this challenge is Ellen Hutson and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to their store!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a good day! The weather is beautiful today so I think we'll spend some time outside! :)

Lawnscaping #100 - Birthday Celebration!!

Hi everyone!! Today is a super special day because it is Lawnscaping's 100th challenge!! We are all so excited and we wanted to celebrate in an extra special way, so each of the girls on the design team invited a special party guest to play along with us today!

The theme is birthday/celebration! Like I mentioned above, each of the girls invited a special guest to the party, and my guest is Allison Patrizio!! She is so sweet and I'm so glad that we've become friends through crafting! She always creates the cutest scenes for her cards, and she definitely did that again for this card! Here is the card that Allison created for the party:

Isn't that birthday scene just adorable?! I really like how she added the smaller whale to the scene and all of the birthday hats on the critters! And the detail that she added on the bubbles is such a cute idea! Be sure to stop by her blog to read more about her card!

And here is the card that I created for this challenge:

I have really liked the look of inlaid die cutting, so I wanted to give it a try! It's so easy and super fun! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bannerific," and "Happy Everything" stamp sets, as well as the "Hearts" die cuts and silver sparkle Lawn Trimmings. I started by die cutting a bunch of hearts on the white card stock panel. Then, I die cut a bunch of hearts from different patterned papers. To get the hearts to stay in place, I used a little bit of tape on the back of the card stock so that they don't fall out! Then, I finished the card by adding the sentiment, twine, and some sequins. I really like how it turned out!

Don't forget to stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team and their guests created for this challenge! There is a TON of inspiration on the blog this week and I really hope that you'll be inspired to play along! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn (and it's perfect timing since the new products will be released this week!!)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good day! :)

25 Days of Christmas Day 9

Hi everyone!

It is starting to get really cold here! The weather forecast is calling for sleet and freezing rain today - yuck! I don't mind the snow because it looks pretty from inside my house, but freezing rain is dangerous!

In light of the weather here, I think today's card is very appropriate!

Let it snow and don't let it sleet! :) This card features Lawn Fawn's "Snow Day" petite paper pack, silver sparkle Lawn Trimmings, Lawn Ornament sequins, "Finley's ABCs" die cuts, and "Critters in the Arctic." The scene on the patterned paper is so cute and it is the perfect background for this sentiment!

Well, thanks for stopping by today! Check back again tomorrow for another Christmas card! :)

25 Days of Christmas Day 6

Hello everyone! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? We are finalizing plans for my daughter's birthday party and working on mailing Christmas cards. We are hoping to make a gift for my daughter and if it turns out well, I will share it with you sometime! :)

Anyways, I have another Christmas card to share with you today!

I haven't added a big bow to a card for a long time! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Finley's ABCs," "Violet's ABCs," and Lawn Ornaments mixed sequins. The sentiment is also cut from LF's "Snow Day" petite paper pad. I die cut the sentiment from patterned paper and white card stock to give it some dimension, too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a good weekend and don't forget to stop by again tomorrow for another Christmas card! :)

Thank You Banners

Hi there! I hope that you were able to have a nice weekend!

I have a card to share with you for the current Curtain Call Challenge!

This was my first time playing along with this challenge and it was a lot of fun to use the inspiration photo for my card. I was inspired by the colors in the picture, as well as this card by Steph Washburn.

This card features stamps from Simon Says Stamp's "Flower Friend" and patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" petite paper pack. I stamped the banner a bunch of different times in different colored inks to mimic the colors of the leaves in the inspiration photo. Then I stamped the sentiment and added sequins.

Thanks for stopping by! You should definitely play along with this challenge if you get the chance! :)

Lawnscaping #86 - Watercoloring!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend! I was able to spend some time visiting family, attending a bridal shower, and just relaxing! Ahh, summer! :)

Anyways, it's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!

This challenge is to use watercoloring on your project! You can use whatever you have - crayons, Distress inks, paints, or whatever else! I was looking through my craft stash, and I found a set of Crayola watercolors, so that is what I used! Here are the cards that I made for this challenge:

This was the first time that I ever used watercolors and it is so much fun!! These cards feature Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Sea," "Chit Chat," and the coordinating "Chit Chat" die cuts. I also found a few sequins that matched the background colors, so I used those as well! The critters are colored with Prismacolor pencils and decorated with a white paint pen. The critters and speech bubbles are all attached with foam tape.

To create the backgrounds, I added some watercolors to an acrylic block and pressed it onto the paper. I lifted the block off of the paper, and then I used a paint brush with a little bit of water on it to spread the ink out and to mix the colors together a little bit. It is a super easy technique to try!

Here is a close up of each of the cards:

This one is my favorite! I just really like how the colors came together on the background! It goes so well with the sea turtle!

I am having so much fun adding white dots to my colored images! This octopus always makes me smile! :)

This one is my least favorite. It just feels like it is missing something. But I really like the blue and purple background!

So there you go! What do you think? I hope that you're able to play along with this challenge! Watercoloring is so popular and I can now see why! :)

The winner of this challenge will get a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! And they're coming out with some new releases soon, so make sure that you enter!! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Lawnscaping #77 - Bling it!

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a nice weekend! We were getting ready for another snow storm to hit our area this weekend (they were calling for over a foot of snow!) but it ended up being nothing more than some snow flurries! My husband is bummed that he has to go to school this morning! :)

I'm excited to share my card with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Bling it!

Ohh, sparkly! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" and Let's Polka mixed sequins. To get the sequins in a rainbow shape, I lightly drew some arcs to use as a pattern and glued the sequins along the lines. Then I stamped and cut out some clouds to attached with foam tape at the end of the rainbows, and finished the card by stamping the sentiment. I hope that it will make someone smile when they get this in the mail! :)

You have until March 12th to play along with this challenge! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp - a great place to shop! :)

Whale You be Mine?

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope that you have something special planned today with the ones that you love! We are taking a trip to visit my family and to let the extended family meet the baby! We're going to have such a fun weekend with family! :)

I have one last Valentine's Day card to share with you this year! Here is another animal pun card! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Sea," "Riley's ABCs," paper from the Let's Polka petite paper pack, and sequins from the Let's Polka Mixed Sequins pack. I have to give credit to Yainea because she had the cute idea to add hearts to the spouting water! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #75 - Dots and Hearts

Hello everyone! I'm back again! I took a little bit of "time off" from crafting to adjust to my new role as a mother!! Claire Rebekah was born on December 10th and it has been so much fun (as well as so tiring!) getting to know her and watch her grow. Everyone always says that babies grow so fast, and it's so true! I can't believe how much she has grown in her first 8 weeks! I will share some pictures with you all soon! :)

Since naps are becoming more consistent, I was finally able to create a card for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Dots and Hearts!

My first thought was to create a Valentine's Day card, so here is what I created:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" stamp and die, "Good Fortune" stamp and die, "Blue Skies," "Home Sweet Home," and "Peace Love and Joy" mixed sequins. Some of the letters even have some polka dots to match the current challenge!

I hope that you're able to play along, too! The winner of this challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate from Simon Says Stamp!

Lawnscaping #71 - Tags or Treat Bags

Hello everyone! It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! Monday's are so much better when there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge to look forward to! :)

This week's challenge is to create a project using tags or treat bags.

www.lawnscaping.blogspot.com

Since it is getting closer to Christmas, I decided to make some Christmas tags! Here are the tags that I created:

These tags feature a ton of Lawn Fawn products! The patterned paper is from the "Peace Joy Love" petite paper pack, the sequins are from the "Peace Joy Love Mixed Sequins Pack" and I also used the silver sparkle Lawn Trimmings! I used the "Tag, You're It" die (one of my favorites!) and I used a ton of Christmas stamp sets - "Cozy Christmas," "Making Frosty Friends," "Milo's ABCs," "Quinn's 123s," and "Winter Gifts." Plus, I added stickles to some of the images to give it some sparkle (like the stockings, hearts, and numbers).

CAS-ual Fridays #116

Hello everyone! I am so excited because I was able to find some time this week to play along with the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge! The challenge is to use sequins and chevrons in your project.

I decided to use the sequins and chevrons to make this simple anniversary card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "A Birdie Told Me," "Happy Everything," and "Happily Ever After" stamp sets, as well as Lawn Fawn's mixed sequins. The speech bubbles are both cut from patterned paper and attached with foam tape for a little bit of dimension. The sentiment is stamped in "Wet Cement" by Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Lawnscaping #66 - Monochromatic

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend! It's time again for the next Lawnscaping Challenge!

This week's challenge is to create a card based on only one color. I decided to pick the color orange for my card. Here it is:

The bunny in the pumpkin from the "Critters in Costume" stamp set is adorable, so he had to be the star of this card. I also added the pumpkins and sentiment from the "So Thankful" set, as well as the speech bubble from "A Birdie Told Me." The sequins are from Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love mixed sequins set. The sequins are such a fun little accent to add to cards! :)

The winner of this week's challenge will win a stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn, so don't forget to play along! I can't wait to see what you create with this challenge! :)

I hope that you have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!
