Math Belated Birthday Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! I hope that your week is going well so far! I have a fun card set to share with you today!

I'm terrible at sending cards on time, so I always find myself needing belated birthday cards. I used a bunch of different Lawn Fawn stamp sets, along with a fun mathematics background stamp set from Hero Arts, to make a punny, math belated birthday card!

My husband and I both have a college degree in mathematics, so one of my first stamp purchases was a mathematics background set from Hero Arts. I have no idea if it's still available, but it's so fun! I stamped the background with an embossing ink pad to create a lightly inked background on different cardstock panels. The panels are cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and I used different colors of Lawn Fawn cardstock. I also lightly ink blended the edges to give the cardstock some dimension.

I attached each of the panels to a white card base. I stamped the owl from the So Owlsome stamp set, the pencil, books, and calculator from the Plan On It: School set, and the present from Beam Me Up onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I also added glasses to the owls to make them look more nerdy. And they looked so much cuter with googly eyes, so I added those, too!

The speech bubbles are from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set, and I added a custom sentiment with Milo's ABCs. I also added a white heat embossed sentiment along the bottom made with the belated stamp in the Year Two set, and the happy birthday stamps from the Beam Me Up set. That sentiment is white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut with the Everyday Sentiment Banner. I had to run the banner die through my die cut machine two times to make the banner a little bit shorter. Here's a closer look at the card:

Hopefully I won't forget a birthday, but in case I do (I mean when I do) I have some cute belated birthday cards to send! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today and have a great day! :)

I love you like...

Hello! I hope that you're having a good week so far! I wanted to quickly share a card with you that I made a while ago.

That mouse really likes his cheese! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Milo's ABCs," "Critters on the Farm," and "Best Pun Ever" stamp sets. I really wanted to make something that featured the cheese from the "Best Pun Ever" set, and I thought the mouse would go perfectly with the cheese!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

25 Days of Christmas Day 21

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share this card with you this morning. This represents the true meaning of Christmas!

This card features Paper Smooches "A Blessed Christmas" stamp set and Lawn Fawn's "Milo's ABCs" and "Violet's ABCs" stamp sets. I used a few different blue inks to make the background, and then stamped the images and sentiment in black ink. It made for a perfect one layer card which is great for mailing!

Well, I hope that you have a good day! I'll be back with another card tomorrow! :)

Lawnscaping #82 - Distress Mania

Hello! I hope that everyone had a good weekend! Our community had yard sales this weekend, so my husband and I walked around and found a few good deals! We got some new shoes, baby clothes, and our favorite, a new vacuum! We're excited about that one! :)

Anyways, it is time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge - Distress Mania!

You can use distress markers or inks, distress the edges of paper, or just do anything that will give your project a distressed look! For my card, I decided to use some inks to make a distressed ocean scene!

I used the "Stitched Scalloped Border" dies to create a mask that I used to create the ocean waves! I masked the bottom wave first and used my darkest shade of blue, then I did the same with the other two waves but using lighter shades of blue. I cut out the whale and fishes from the "Critters in the Sea" and gave the dad a hat from the "Hats Off to You" stamp set. The sentiments are from "Milo's ABCs" stamp set and "Cole's ABCs" dies.

Don't forget to play along because the winner will receive a stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn (and they're coming out with some super cute sets on May 22nd!!)

Well, thanks for stopping by! Have a great week! :)

Love is in the Air

Happy weekend, everyone! Whew, it's finally here! Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend? We will be having dinner with some friends and also working on our bathroom remodel! We are hoping to have the tile floor installed this weekend! Yay! Other than that, just relaxing!

I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you! This is the card that I will be giving my husband this year. :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Cole's ABCs" die, "Milo's ABCs" stamp set, and "Blue Skies" stamp and die. The "love" letters, hot air balloons, and banners are all attached with foam tape, so there is a lot of dimension on this card! I really like it!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a good weekend! I can't wait to watch some of the Olympics! :)

Holly Jolly Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope that you will enjoy a day with family and friends today! Don't eat too many Christmas cookies! :)

Today's Christmas card wishes you a holly, jolly Christmas!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Winter Gifts," "Milo's ABCs," "Riley's ABCs," and "Sweet Christmas" stamp sets. I used different alphabet stamps to create this custom sentiment! And the holly leaves are coated with some glittery stickles to give it some sparkle! :)

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget the real reason for the season today. Happy Birthday, Jesus! :)

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

No Place Like Home

Good morning everyone! Only two more days until Christmas! It's almost here! :)

Today's Christmas card features a custom sentiment made from a variety of stamps:

To make the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn's "Milo's ABCs," "Winter Gifts," and "Gnome Sweet Gnome." I think it's so much fun to combine different stamp sets to make custom sentiments! The rest of the card features "Home Sweet Home" and "Making Frosty Friends." And of course I used stickles to decorate the houses, snowbank, and hearts! :)

Only two more Christmas cards left this year! Come back again tomorrow to see the next card!
