Marvy Uchida and Lawn Fawn

Hi there! I hope that you have a great weekend! We had a relaxing weekend at home and enjoyed playing in the sprinkler since it was so hot!!

This week, the Lawn Fawn design team is collaborating with Marvy Uchida to bring you some awesome inspiration!

For this card, I used the Watercolor Twist Crayons and Blender Pen to color the background, critters, and leaves. The images are from the Jump For Joy set, and I also used the Simple Stitched Hillside dies for the background.

For the sentiment, I used the Scripty Friends die to adhere three layers of white cardstock together and then coat it with gold glitter with the Deco Just Glitter markers. It's so neat that the glitter markers work on paper and fabric!

The sentiment is from Bannertastic, So Thankful, and Rooting For You. I also used the Outside In Rectangle Stackable dies to help frame the scene.

There're more inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog this week. Thanks again for stopping by and I hope you have a great week! :)

Lawnscaping #93 - Fall & Pumpkins

Happy Monday everyone! Can you believe that it is already November?! Wow, this year is going by so fast! It got really cold in central PA this weekend and I am definitely not ready for the cold weather! Brrr!

Since it's the first Monday of the month, that means there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge! The current challenge is to create a project that focuses on fall and/or pumpkins.

Here is the card that I created:

I used Lawn Fawn's "So Thankful" stamp set (those pumpkins are so cute!), Sweater Weather patterned paper, Scripty Thanks die cut, and Cloudy Lawn Trimmings. I used a partial die technique to make the sentiment frame. Here is a close up of the sentiment.

I also added stickles to the thanks (but it's a little bit hard to see). I added a piece of vellum over the patterned paper so help make the sentiment a little bit easier to see (I should have used a color other than white!).

Well, I hope that you're able to play along with the challenge! The sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate!

Lawnscaping #66 - Monochromatic

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend! It's time again for the next Lawnscaping Challenge!

This week's challenge is to create a card based on only one color. I decided to pick the color orange for my card. Here it is:

The bunny in the pumpkin from the "Critters in Costume" stamp set is adorable, so he had to be the star of this card. I also added the pumpkins and sentiment from the "So Thankful" set, as well as the speech bubble from "A Birdie Told Me." The sequins are from Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love mixed sequins set. The sequins are such a fun little accent to add to cards! :)

The winner of this week's challenge will win a stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn, so don't forget to play along! I can't wait to see what you create with this challenge! :)

I hope that you have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

25 Cards of Christmas #23

Hello everyone! I hope that your weekend is going well and that you're all ready for Christmas! I am here to share the 23rd card in the 25 Cards of Christmas!

That background paper is from the Jolly and Bright pack by Recollections. The sentiment is stamped with Lawn Fawn's "Smitty's ABCs" stamp set. For the boughs of holly, I used the leaf in the "So Thankful" set and the air bubbles in the "Critters In the Sea" set! The different sized bubbles worked perfect to create different sized berries! :)

I am also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge! The challenge is to make something Christmassy, so don't forget to play along! The  winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp, so get crafting!

Well, thanks for stopping by! There are only two cards left in the series! :)

Lawnscaping Blog Hop!

Hello everyone and welcome to the Lawnscaping Blog Hop! I'm so excited that you're here and I'm so excited to be a part of this blog hop. You should come to me by way of Heidi's Blog.

The hop runs from today, Friday, October 5th until Sunday, October 7th, so make sure to leave comments on all of the blogs to be eligible to win some GREAT prizes!! The winners will be announced on Monday, October 8th!

We were asked to create a card that was based on the photo shown above. Here is my card:

I really wanted to incorporate the dark brown from the barn, and I wanted it to have tons of fall leaves. And of course, you can't have a fall card without a pumpkin! This card feature's Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" and "So Thankful" stamp sets.

Now head over to Melissa's Blog to see what she created! Thanks so much for stopping by, and comment for your chance to win some prizes!

Lawnscaping #42

Hi there! Happy Monday! I have a card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - adding text to your project!

Here is the card that I created:

I decided to use the thank you stamps that come with the Lawn Fawn orders to create this card! The only one that isn't included in an order is the very last one which is part of the "So Thankful" set.

Thanks for stopping by! Check out of the other great cards that were created for this challenge! :)

So Thankful!

Hello everyone! I hope that your are having a good weekend so far! Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary! We enjoyed a movie ("Trouble With the Curve" - I highly recommend that you see that!), some shopping, and dinner at our favorite restaurant - Olive Garden! It was great! Today we're relaxing at home and waiting for the Steeler game to start! :)

I have a few cards to share with you. I made these cards for everyone who helped us move a few weeks ago. We are so, so thankful for their help and could not have moved that quickly without them!

These cards were so easy to make! They feature one of Lawn Fawn's new stamp sets "So Thankful." A little stamping, a little paper piecing, and a little gluing. It was very easy to make quite a few of these. Here is a picture with all three cards:

Thanks for stopping by! It's officially fall! Hurray!

Design Principles Class!

Good evening! I hope that everyone is having a good weekend so far! We're still doing some unpacking and getting things organized. We're almost done though!

I have a card to share that I created for Britta Swiderski's Design Principles Class!

This card is based on the principle of balance, particularly symmetry!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas," "Critters on the Farm," and "Gnome Sweet Gnome." Do the little bushes in front look familiar? They are the leaves from Lawn Fawn's new set "So Thankful!" They worked great as little bushes!

Britta's Class was so much fun! I'm really thankful that I was able to participate because I learned so many great principles that I can apply to my projects! Thanks for the class, Britta!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Let's go Steelers! :)
