Lawnscaping #133 - Mood Board Inspired

Hi everyone! Happy 4th of July! Do you have anything fun planned for today? We're going to have a family picnic and try to watch fireworks from my in-laws backyard. Hopefully we'll be able to see some, but if not, we have sparklers! :)

So, there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge today! Yay! The challenge is to create a card based on the inspiration photo below:

I really liked the yellow and blue in the picture, so this is what I created:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Chit Chat" stamp and die, "Sun and Moon," "Simple Puffy Cloud Frames," Let's Polka patterned paper, and the smiley face from "Pizza My Heart," and yellow twine. I also added some blue ink behind the sun to give it more detail for the background, and added a few hearts around the fun.

To make the clouds, I die cut them from blue paper and then inked the edges of the inside cloud. I used a little bit of tape on the back to keep the frames together, added some detail with a white gel pen, and attached them with foam tape.

I hope you're able to play along with the challenge because the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ellen Hutson!

Have a great day! :)

Merry Christmas Penguins

Hello! I hope that you had a nice weekend! I have a card to share with you that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog this morning!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Toboggan Together" and "Baaah Humbug" stamps and dies, as well as Lawn Trimmings and Let's Polka petite patterned paper pack. I recently purchased the doilies and I thought it would be cute with this card. I also decided to paper piece the penguins and presents, and I also added some details to the images with a white gel pen. Here is a close up on the card:

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day! And thanks to Kelly Marie for sharing this card on the Lawn Fawn blog today! :)

Nursery Banners

Hi everyone!! I hope that you had a good weekend! The schools in our area start this week, which means my husband has to go back to school - boo! It's been so nice to have him home this summer!

This morning, I have a fun project to share with you that is featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog! My sister-in-law is due in September, so I made this banner for one of her baby showers and for her to hang in the nursery when baby Emma gets here!

Her nursery theme is hot air balloons, so Lawn Fawn's "Blue Skies" stamp and dies were perfect for this banner! Here is a close up on the banner:

The banner also features "Stitched Party Banners," "Puffy Cloud Borders," "Finley's ABCs" and "Hearts" dies. I also used patterned paper from the "Let's Polka" collection for the hot air balloons.

I also made a second banner to decorate the nursery with. I used the "Hearts" and "Blue Skies" dies to cut out quite a few images from card stock and patterned paper. Then, I used my sewing machine to sew all of the images together. The banner is so cute in person! I might try this again with some different images!

Well, thanks for stopping by, and thank you Kelly Marie for sharing these banners on the Lawn Fawn Blog! Have a good day! :)

BBQ Puns

Hello! I have two really fun cards to share with you this morning that are being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog! These cards make me giggle every time I look at them! :)

Both of these cards feature Lawn Fawn's "Let's BBQ" stamp and dies, "A Birdie Told Me" stamp and dies, "Smitty's ABCs," "Riley's ABCs," "Stitched Square Stackables" dies, "Let's Polka" patterned paper, and "Cloudy" Lawn Trimmings.

I think the mustard card is my favorite! The sentiment makes me giggle!

For this card, I used the sentiment that is included in the "Let's BBQ" stamp set and inked different portions of the stamp so that it would fit inside of the speech bubble. Before I attached the images with foam tape, I used a grey colored pencil to shade a spot on the "ground" for the image to sit on.

Well, thank you for stopping by, and thank you, Kelly Marie, for sharing my cards on the Lawn Fawn Blog today! I hope that everyone has a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #110 - Color

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. It has been so hot and humid the past few days and there was even a tornado warning last night for a nearby town! That was scary and I pray that everyone was okay! It's not very often that there is a tornado in central PA!

On a brighter note, there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge today, and the theme is all about colors!

I always find myself making cards with rainbow colors because those colors are so cheery and fun! Here is the card that I made for this challenge:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Flirty Frames" stamp and dies, and many thank you stamps including "Critters in the Forest," "Blue Skies," "Home Sweet Home," "Good Fortune," and several of the complimentary thanks stamps from Lawn Fawn orders. I also used a variety of patterned papers from Lawn Fawn for the frames, including "Let's Polka," "Sweater Weather," and "Into the Woods."

To create the card, I first stamped and die cut the frames from the various patterned papers. Then, I used my X-acto knife to cut out the inside of the frames. I arranged the frames on the paper, attached them with some glue, and then stamped the sentiments inside each of the frames. I really like the collage look from those colorful frames!

I hope that you're able to play along with this challenge! The winner from this challenge will win a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! Don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawn Blog this week, too, because they're sharing some sneak peeks of their new products! :)

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope that you have a great week! :)

Colorful Birthday Wishes

Hello! I have a card to share with you today for the AEIHeartUChallenge! I always want to play along, but then I somehow run out of time, so I'm glad I was able to participate for this challenge!

This month's challenge is all about the colors of the rainbow!

I'm always short on birthday cards, and Avery Elle's "Sending You" stamp set is my favorite because of the big, scripty sentiments! I stamped the paper airplane onto some "The Sorbet Collection" patterned paper, as well as Lawn Fawn's "Let's Polka" paper. I stamped the  paper airplane trail in a grey ink so that the sentiment could really stand out. Then, I added some grey patterned paper along the edge of the card for some more detail.

Well, thanks for stopping by! Have a good day! :)

Dad, you're fantastic!

Hello! Father's Day is fast approaching, so I wanted to have a card ready this year! I usually forget to make one until the last minute, but not this year! Here is the card that I'm going to send to my dad:

I used Lawn Fawn's "Best Pun Ever" stamp set (and die), "Finley's ABCs" die cut, "Stitched Square Stackables" die, and "Let's Polka" and "Let's Polka, Mon Amie" patterned paper. I wanted to make this card fun and interactive, so I stamped and cut out a second fan blade, and attached it to the first fan with a brad! Now, you can spin the fan blade!

I also die cut a few "dad" letters because I wanted the letters to stand out on the card. I think there are three layers. I really like how this turned out, so I made the same card for my husband and father-in-law! :)

Thank you Kelly Marie for featuring this card on the Lawn Fawn Blog today! I hope that you all have a good evening, and enjoy the rest of your week! This is my husband's last week of school, so I am really looking forward to him spending more time with us at home! Yay! :)

Congrats card!

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone is doing well this week. It definitely feels like summer now! This week was humid and warm, and we were able to spend a bunch of time outside!

Anyways, I wanted to share a card with you today that I made a while ago for a friend.

The schools in our area have about two weeks left of school. My husband is a teacher so I can't wait for school to be over so that he can spend a bunch of time with my daughter and I!

For this card I used Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Forest," "Hats Off to You," "Violet's ABCs," "Flirty Frames," and "Let's Polka" petite paper pack. I stamped the images in Memento black ink and colored everything with Prismacolor pencils. I really like the look of adding the Flirty Frames to the top of bottom of the images to frame everything together.

I also wanted to remind everyone that Lawn Fawn's Inspiration and Release Week starts today!! They will be showing a bunch of new products this week and having a giveaways throughout the week, so don't forget to check that it! I can't wait to see what they created!

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you enjoy the rest of your day! :)

Masculine and Feminine Birthday Cards

Hi everyone! I have two cards to share with you today that are being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog! I made a feminine and masculine birthday card with the same layout!

The feminine birthday card features patterned paper from "Let's Polka" and "Let's Polka, Mon Amie." The Mon Amie paper is great for girly cards because of the soft, pastel colors.

The masculine card has the same layout, but I used patterned paper from "Pint-sized Patterns, Beachside" and I switched the hearts to stars. Using different patterned paper gives it such a different feel! Both of these cards also feature Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Stackable Circle Dies" and "Year Two" stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks to Kelly Marie for featuring my cards today! I hope that you all have a great day! :)

You're the coolest!

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a good week so far! The weather has been gorgeous lately, so we've been able to take some walks, watch some softball games (my husband plays in a church league), and swing in the backyard. It's so nice!

I have a quick card to share with you today. I always need more thank you card and this was really easy to put together.

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Best Pun Ever" stamp and dies, "Scripty Thanks" die, "Stitched Square Stackable" die, Let's Polka petite paper pack, and Wild Rose ink pad. I used the Wild Rose ink to ink some white card stock before running the Thanks die through my Cuttlebug. That way the "thanks" matched the other ink and the pattern paper perfectly!

Well, thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day! My daughter just went done for a nap so it's time to get some chores done around the house! :)

Lawnscaping #104 - Sketch

Hi everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend! The weather was gorgeous this weekend, so we were able to spend a lot of time outside. I hope that the nice weather is finally here to stay!

Anyways, it is time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to create a project based off of the sketch.

I was inspired by the circle in the sketch to create this card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Flirty Frames" stamp and die, "Stitched Journaling Card" die, "Hello Sunshine" stamp, Lawn Trimming, and a bunch of patterned paper including "Let's Polka," "Sweater Weather," and "Hello Sunshine" petite paper packs. This colorful card is definitely going to brighten someone's mailbox! :)

I hope that you're able to play along with the challenge! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! Woo hoo! Don't forget to also check out the projects from the rest of the Lawnscaing design team because they're all so amazing!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day! :)

Welcome Sweet Baby

Hi everyone! I hope that things are going well with you! I can't believe it, but it is actually snowing today! Noo!! This better be the last of the snow because I'm so ready for the warmer weather!!

Anyways, I have some cards to share with you today that were featured on the Lawn Fawn blog yesterday! I made these cute welcome baby cards!

I have wanted to make a baby card with a mom and baby elephant for so long, and when Lawn Fawn released the "Critters in the Jungle" stamp set, I knew this was my chance!

I think I made the pink one first and then realized that I really like how it turned out, so I made a blue one as well!

These cards feature a ton of products from Lawn Fawn: "Critters in the Jungle," "Love You Tons," "Flirty Frames," "Critters Down Under" (for the sentiment), "Milk and Cookie" (for the sentiment), Let's Polka petite paper pack, "Heart" dies, "Small Stitched Square Stackables" dies, and Lawn Trimmings

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend and that you have warmer weather than we do here! :)

Lawnscaping #101 - Dots And/Or Stripes

Happy Monday to you all! I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. I started a swimming class with my 14 month old little girl this weekend, and it's so much fun watching her reaction to the swimming pool. She doesn't seem to have an opinion about the water yet, but she definitely enjoys the other kids in the pool and the toys! It was so much fun!

We have another fun Lawnscaping Challenge for you today - dots and stripes! You can use dots, or stripes, or dots and stripes! :)

I decided to use a little bit of both. I used some polka dot patterned paper and created a chevron striped card!

It took some time to line everything up, but once you make the first row it goes by a lot quicker. For this card I used Lawn Fawn's "Finley's ABCs" and "Small Stitched Square Dies," along with some "Let's Polka" patterned paper. I also used some patterned paper from Avery Elle. The sentiment is cut from black vinyl so it made a sticker and was really easy to attach to the card. I might use vinyl more often!

To create the chevron stripes, I used the smallest square die to cut a bunch of squares (I think about 5 of each), then cut the squares in half diagonally. Then, I arranged the triangles on the card base to make it look like chevron stripes. I left a little bit of white space around the triangles so that you can't tell if one of the rows is a little bit crooked. I really like how colorful and fun this turned out! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the rest of the cards from the Lawnscaping Design Team! And don't forget to play along because the winner of this challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ellen Hutson! :)

Thanks! I hope you have a great day! :)

Home is where your honey is...

Good morning everyone! I hope that you are having a good week so far! I am so excited to be sharing this card with you that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog today!

This card features a ton of different Lawn Fawn products including "Bugs and Kisses," "Riley's ABCs," "Stitched Scalloped Border Die," "Large Stitched Circle Dies," Lawn Trimmings (from the vivid triple pack) and patterned paper from the Let's Polka petite paper pack. The bees and hearts are stamped, colored with Prismacolor pencils, and die cut. After adhering the patterned paper and the circle showcasing the sentiment, I stamped the bee trail over top of the papers. For the bee trail at the top of the card, I only inked the last part of the trail in the stamp set.

I really like how this card came out and I think I'll give it to my husband for Valentine's Day! :) Thanks so much for stopping by and thank you Kelly for featuring this card! I hope that you all have a good day! :)

Lawnscaping #97 - Winter Themed

Good morning, everyone! I hope that everyone had a nice Christmas and New Year! Life is finally starting to settle back down again after the craziness of the holiday! Does anyone else still have their Christmas tree up? We're keeping it up as long as we can! :)

Anyways, it's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge

The challenge this week is to create a winter themed project based on the Pinterest-inspired photos in the challenge badge pictured above.

I used the colors in the photos (the blues and whites) and the movie Elf as my inspiration! That is such a good winter movie - so funny! My card features Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Hillside Border Dies" (for the waves), "Large Stitched Circle Dies," "Violet's ABCs," "Year Two," "Critters in the Arctic," and "Critters in the Sea" stamp set, as well as "Let's Polka" patterned paper. I cut out two circles for the card base, and then cut out the waves from vellum. The critters are stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils and attached with foam tape behind the waves. I also cut out a few hearts to add around the sentiment. (P.S. It's hard to get a picture of a round card without it rolling away! :))

This year, Lawnscaping has a new sponsor for the first challenge of the month! Ellen Hutson is the new sponsor and the winner of this challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate to the store!

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a good week and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge! :)

Mr. and Mrs.

Hello again! I'm back to share another wedding card with you!

Before we get to the wedding card, I wanted to let you know that next week is the Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog! Don't forget to check it out to see a ton of Christmas and holiday inspiration!

And now, onto the card!

I made this for my mom to give at my cousin's wedding this summer. It features Lawn Fawn's "Violet's ABCs" stamp set (for the and), "Finley's ABCs" and "Heart" die cuts, gold sparkle Lawn Trimmings, and patterned paper from Let's Polka. I die cut the letters and hearts from glitter card stock so they are nice and sparkly! For the background, I attached the patterned paper, added the doily on top, and then covered them in a layer of vellum. I finished off the card by adding the twine and hearts at the top. This card was perfect for my cousin's wedding because they used Mr. and Mrs. in the wedding invitations and in a lot of the decorations at the reception.

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a good day! I'm going to try to get some crafts done this afternoon while the baby is sleeping! :)

Lawnscaping #88 - Texture

Good morning! Can you believe that it's already the middle of August?! I can't! My husband starts school today, but the students don't go back until September. This summer went by so quick!

It's my favorite time of the week - another Lawnscaping Challenge! This week's challenge is to use texture in your project. Here is the project that I created:

For this project I added felt and quilt batting to my card! I didn't have any white felt, but I found some quilt batting in my sewing stash that worked perfectly! And the best part is that the felt and batting die cut so easily! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets, as well as "Stitched Scalloped Border Die," "Heart Dies," and cloud dies from "Blue Skies." The striped background paper is also from the "Let's Polka" petite paper pack!

I hope that you have a chance to play along! I can't wait to see what kind of texture that you add to your project! Also, the winner will receive a stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn! (And their new products will be available soon!!)

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your week! :)

Lawnscaping #77 - Bling it!

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a nice weekend! We were getting ready for another snow storm to hit our area this weekend (they were calling for over a foot of snow!) but it ended up being nothing more than some snow flurries! My husband is bummed that he has to go to school this morning! :)

I'm excited to share my card with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Bling it!

Ohh, sparkly! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" and Let's Polka mixed sequins. To get the sequins in a rainbow shape, I lightly drew some arcs to use as a pattern and glued the sequins along the lines. Then I stamped and cut out some clouds to attached with foam tape at the end of the rainbows, and finished the card by stamping the sentiment. I hope that it will make someone smile when they get this in the mail! :)

You have until March 12th to play along with this challenge! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp - a great place to shop! :)

Whale You be Mine?

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I hope that you have something special planned today with the ones that you love! We are taking a trip to visit my family and to let the extended family meet the baby! We're going to have such a fun weekend with family! :)

I have one last Valentine's Day card to share with you this year! Here is another animal pun card! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Sea," "Riley's ABCs," paper from the Let's Polka petite paper pack, and sequins from the Let's Polka Mixed Sequins pack. I have to give credit to Yainea because she had the cute idea to add hearts to the spouting water! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)
