Lawnscaping #123 - Sending Love

Good morning! I hope that you had a great weekend! We were able to spend some time outside yesterday because it was about 55 degrees! That's a heat wave for central PA in January! The rest of this week is suppose to be fairly nice as well! I feel like we're getting spoiled with this nice weather!

Anyways, it's the first Monday in February, which means it's time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!

This challenge is to use hearts or love sentiments on your projects, so this is the card that I created:

I haven't used that airplane set in such a long time! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp set, "Heart," "Scripty Love" and "Puffy Cloud Borders" dies. I also used Wild Rose ink and patterned paper from the Beachside petite paper pack.

Here is a close up on the card:

I hope that you're able to play along with the challenge this week! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ellen Hutson!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #88 - Texture

Good morning! Can you believe that it's already the middle of August?! I can't! My husband starts school today, but the students don't go back until September. This summer went by so quick!

It's my favorite time of the week - another Lawnscaping Challenge! This week's challenge is to use texture in your project. Here is the project that I created:

For this project I added felt and quilt batting to my card! I didn't have any white felt, but I found some quilt batting in my sewing stash that worked perfectly! And the best part is that the felt and batting die cut so easily! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets, as well as "Stitched Scalloped Border Die," "Heart Dies," and cloud dies from "Blue Skies." The striped background paper is also from the "Let's Polka" petite paper pack!

I hope that you have a chance to play along! I can't wait to see what kind of texture that you add to your project! Also, the winner will receive a stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn! (And their new products will be available soon!!)

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your week! :)

Lawnscaping #76 - Dust 'Em Off

Happy President's Day! Do you get the enjoy the day off from work? I hope so! Hopefully you're also not drowning in snow from this weekend! (I'm so ready for spring!)

It's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge this week is to create a card with a product that may have been overlooked and collecting dust in the corner.

I decided to "dust off" some of my Lawn Fawn dies to create this card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Blue Skies" stamp and die, "Home Sweet Home" stamp and die, "Good Fortune," "Bon Voyage," and some patterned paper from Into the Woods petite paper pack. Lawn Fawn is also coming out with a die set to complement the "Bon Voyage" stamp set, so this card would be so easy to make with all of the dies!

The hot air balloons and the banner are attached with foam tape to give them some dimension. I also added some glitter to the edges of the clouds and on the hearts on the hot air balloons. You can't have a card without glitter! :)

This week's challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn, so the winner will receive a stamp set of their choice! And they have some great stamp sets that they just released!

Thanks for coming by! I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge! :)

Happy Shower!

Good morning!  I think that it is only appropriate that I share this card with you now. The weather here has been nothing but overcast and rain for days! Yuck. A few days ago we had some flash flood which made things awful! I hope that things clear up so that we can still watch fireworks tomorrow!

I made this card for a bridal shower earlier this year. It would also make a nice encouragement card with a different sentiment. I like it. The clouds are from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set, and the hearts, raindrops and sentiment is from the "Plus One" stamp set. I'm not sure where the black stickers are from (I've had them forever!).

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that the weather is nicer where you're at right now! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #24

After [the Magi] had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. - Matthew 2:9-11

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! Here is the 24th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas!

This card feature's a few different Lawn Fawn stamp sets (except for the large star - I'm not sure where that stamp came from). I used "Sweet Christmas," "Quinn's ABCs," and "Smitty's ABCs." To make the lines around the star, I used the lines from the "Bon Voyage" stamp set and the dots from "Sweet Christmas." I then added stickles to the lines, stars, and the word "star" to make everything sparkle and shine!

I am also entering this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Make it Shine! There are only a few days left to submit a card!

I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas Eve! I am looking forward to the Christmas Eve service at church and to enjoy some Christmas traditions with my family! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #47

Good evening! I wanted to stop by quickly to share a card that I made for the current Lawnscaping Challenge!

The challenge was to use the colors turquoise, kraft, and red. So, this is what I made:

I stamped clouds from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set in white ink onto a kraft base. I adhered a white piece of paper with some washi tape by Freckled Fawn. Then, I stamped and fussy cut the birds, speech bubble, hearts, and circles and attached them to the card. To create the circles, I stamped the round stamp from "Sweet Christmas" onto some red patterned paper, and then used a hole punch to cut out the circles. That made it super easy!

There is still a little bit of time left to play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge! The winner recieves a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp, so don't forget to play along! :)

It's a Girl!

Hi everyone! I hope that you had a good Monday! My has been productive and fun! I am currently baking dozens and dozens of peanut butter cookies for an outreach that my church is having on Wednesday! Yummy!

I have another card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge!

This is similar to a card that I've created before, but I like this one better..

This one is one layer and is colored with colored pencils. I also used a masking technique again (I really like masking!)  And of course, I added some cute small hearts around the image. :)

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your week!

Love is in the Air!

Good evening! I'm just here to post a quick card that I made today for the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger! You should definitely play along because this week's photo is so neat!

I really liked the little banner in the cake, so I used that as my inspiration and created this:

I have had this idea for a while but couldn't figure out how to make it and today it just worked! I stamped some clouds from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" stamp set to make a light background. Then I paper pieced the "love", birds, and hearts. The words and birds are glued right onto the twine which was wrapped around the card stock and mounted onto the base! I think it's so cute!

Well, it's getting late and I really need to pack. My husband and I are going on vacation this weekend! Woo! I hope you have a great weekend, too!

Lawnscaping #37

Hi everyone! I hope your week's are going well so far! Things are well here - we're just trying to avoid the heat! This week is a little bit cooler, but it's still so hot! Yuck!

This week I made a card for the latest Lawnscaping Challege! It's all about dimensions. I had a hard time trying to figure something out at first, but I finally came up with this card:

I had the blue paper with the edges in my scrap pile, so I put that on the bottom and then cut out the clouds, moon, stars and "dream." I used foam adhesives to add some different dimensions (but it's hard to see in the picture). I used Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs," "Bon Voyage," and "Plus One" stamp sets. I also coated the "dream" with some grayish silver eye shadow that I found in my bathroom. I never use the eye shadow, so it's part of my craft stash now!

Well, thanks for looking at my card! Check out the other great cards in this challenge!

This card is also entered into the Young Crafter's Unite monthly challege - layers!

Hello Baby!

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a good Monday. My husband is done with school for the summer and he stayed home while I went to work today - boo! I will make up for that by giving him a Honey Do list for the summer! :)

Anyways, I have a card to share with you for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge.

The clouds and stork bag are paper pieced from patterned paper. I really wanted to use the clouds from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set because it is one of my new sets. I like new stamps! Here is a close up of the card:

Thanks for looking at my cards! I hope the rest of your week goes well! :)
