LF Inspiration Week: Magic Color Slider Die

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share my project with you today for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Today, the design team is sharing projects created with the new Magic Color Slider die!

This die is so neat! I have seen slider cards like this before and was intimidated to make one myself, but this new LF die makes it so easy!

My card today uses the Plus One stamp set to create a gender reveal card! Just pull the slider and...

.. the color magically appears!!

It's such a fun surprise to reveal the scene when you pull the slider!

Do you see the "pull here" on the slider tab? That's a new stamp set, too, that is perfect for interactive cards!

The design team made some awesome projects with this die set! Check it out on the Lawn Fawn blog!

Thanks for stopping by! And no, I am not pregnant, haha! :)

Oreo Truffle Tags!

Hi there! Did you do anything fun this weekend? We went to a wedding for some church friends of ours, and we had a blast! The wedding was beautiful and we are so excited for the two of them! The rest of the weekend, we recovered from the busyness of the wedding. It was so cute to watch my 18 month old dancing at the wedding - she had so much fun!

Anyways, I have some thank you tags to share with you that are being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog this morning! This first tag was made for the favor at my sister-in-law's baby shower!

And this tag was for a bridal shower at my church!

These tags were so easy and quick to make, and they looked so cute with the oreo truffles! These tags feature Lawn Fawn's "Tag, You're It" dies, "Happy Wedding" stamp and die, "Blue Skies" (for the bridal shower thanks), "Plus One" stamp and die, and one of the bonus stamps that are included in the Lawn Fawn orders (for the baby shower thanks).  To make the tags, I die cut a bunch of tags from pink or blue paper, and then stamped the sentiment onto the tags. Then, I stamped, colored, and die cut all of the storks and love birds from white card stock, and attached them with foam tape. Super easy, and super cute! :)

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you, Kelly Marie, for sharing these tags on the Lawn Fawn Blog! I hope that you have a great week! :)

Etsy Shop Saturday!

Yay the weekend is finally here!  We're planning on doing some yard work before it gets too cold, go to a craft show to look around, and maybe do a little bit of shopping! Ah, relaxing! :)

I have another Whimsipost Etsy Shop card to share with you today! There is a girls version:

And also a boys version!

I used Stampin' Up's "Wild About You" stamp set, along with Lawn Fawn's "Critters Down Under" stamps for the sentiment and hearts. The images are stamped in pink, yellow, and orange inks for the girls card, and blue, green (although the pictures makes it looks teal!), and grey ink for the boys card. The smiling crocodile is my favorite image in that set!

Well, thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the other cards available in the Whimsipost Etsy Shop! Have a good weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #84 - Stars And/Or Stripes

Hello everyone! It has been so long since I have shared a card with you! I unfortnately missed the last Lawnscaping Challenge because I came down with a stomach bug (yuck!). And since then, our little girl has been teething (poor kid!). So, I've had my hands full!

But thankful I was able to participate in this weeks Lawnscaping challenge (and you should, too!!). This weeks challenge is to create a project with stars and/or stripes.

I chose to use stars in my project. A friend is having a baby girl soon, so I made this baby card for her:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" stamp and die, "Riley's ABCs," "Blue Skies," "Love You S'more," and "Plus One" stamp sets. I colored the letters, moon, and stars with Prismacolor pencils (I just got them for my birthday and they are so much fun!). I added a coat of stickes to the top of the stars to give them some shine. The letters, moon, and some of the stars are attached with foam tape!

Well, thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge! The winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn! :)

More exciting news...

Hi everyone! I'm so glad that it's finally Friday! This week has felt so busy and I'm glad that the weekend is almost here! :)

I have a really fun project to share with you today! In my last post I shared that my husband and I recently purchased a house, but we also have more exciting news to share. A few months ago my husband and I hosted a little party for our families to let them know that we are expecting a baby!! We are super excited! Here is the cake that I made for the party:

I used Lawn Fawn's "Plus One" stamp set and "Quinn's ABCs" die to make the banner for the top of the cake. The letters are attached to a thin thread and tied to toothpicks before they were put in the cake. And the storks are both glued to a toothpick!

I used food coloring to color the inside of a white cake mix so that when we cut the cake it revealed the gender of the baby! And when we cut the cake, it revealed that....

... we are having a girl!! She is due December 5th (but I'm praying that she comes earlier!). We thank God everyday for our little girl that we're going to meet soon! I can't wait for her to get here! :)

I hope that you enjoyed the cake decorations! They were so much fun to make and I'm so excited to share our big news with you! I'll let you know when she gets here! Have a great weekend!

Thanks!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend. Did you get to do anything fun? We were able to spend some time on my in-law's boat yesterday! It was a beautiful day and it was fun to hang out with the family for the day!

I have a quick card to share with you today! And it's another one layer card!

This card features various stamp sets from Lawn Fawn including "Quinn's ABCs," "A Birdie Told Me," "Happy Everything," "Good Fortune," and "Plus One." I stamped all of the images in black, colored them with some markers, and added Stickles to the letters, hearts, and stars.

This card also fits perfectly with the current Lawnscaping Challenge! There are still a few days left to play along! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #62

Hello everyone! It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! The week's challenge is to create a card using paper piecing!

Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques! I'm not very good at coloring on my cards, so I usually use paper piecing to add color! Here is the card that I created for this challenge:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" stamp set and die, "Home Sweet Home," and "Plus One" stamp sets. All of the images are cut from various patterned papers and I added some pink enamel dots with the leaves.

I hope that you'll be able to play along with us at Lawnscaping! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! That's a great price! Don't forget to check out the other cards from the Lawnscaping design team, too! :)

Happy Shower!

Good morning!  I think that it is only appropriate that I share this card with you now. The weather here has been nothing but overcast and rain for days! Yuck. A few days ago we had some flash flood which made things awful! I hope that things clear up so that we can still watch fireworks tomorrow!

I made this card for a bridal shower earlier this year. It would also make a nice encouragement card with a different sentiment. I like it. The clouds are from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set, and the hearts, raindrops and sentiment is from the "Plus One" stamp set. I'm not sure where the black stickers are from (I've had them forever!).

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that the weather is nicer where you're at right now! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #54

Good evening, everyone! I finally have a card to post today! I enjoy my full-time job, but it really cuts into my craft time. Thankfully I was able to find some time over the weekend to play along with the current Lawnscaping Challenge - stitching!!

I was hoping to pull out my sewing machine to use on my card, but I didn't have that much time! So, I hand stitched! Here is my card:

I stamped the "thanks" onto the card front and then poked holes around the letters. I used some colorful floss to stitch each of the letters. It need something else, so I added some coordinating colored stars around the thanks with some Frosted Lace Stickles. I think I'm stuck on making colorful thank you cards!

There are still a few days left to play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge, so don't forget to try some stitching on your cards! It was intimating at first, but it turned out to be a lot of fun! :)

Smile Crocodile!

Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great day today! This evening, I have a card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Stamp a Scene!

The challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn, and there is still some time to play along, so don't forget to enter a card! Anyways, here is the card that I created:

I recently received the "Critters Down Under" stamp set from Lawn Fawn, so I was very excited to start playing with it! To make the sun, I used the small speech bubbles from the "A Birdie Told Me" set and wiped off the ink from the hooked part. The hearts are from the "Plus One" stamp set!

On a personal note, everything went really well with the 30 Hour Famine! As a fundraiser for the event, we had a "Pie in the Face" contest and everyone who volunteered has to get a pie in the face this weekend - including me. Great... :)

Well, I hope that you have a great day! Time for some ice cream! Yum! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #25

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

Welcome to the last day of the 25 Cards of Christmas! I had a lot of fun creating and sharing these cards with you, and I hope that you have enjoyed them! The last card in the series is actually a birthday card!

As much fun as it is to get gifts and to enjoy Christmas cookies, Jesus is the true reason for the season! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

This card features a recycled Christmas card from last year. I attached the image onto a kraft card base, and then used Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" and "Plus One" stamp sets to decorate around the image.

I pray that you and your family have a wonderful and safe Christmas day.

 Merry Christmas! :)

It's a Girl!

Hi everyone! I hope that you had a good Monday! My has been productive and fun! I am currently baking dozens and dozens of peanut butter cookies for an outreach that my church is having on Wednesday! Yummy!

I have another card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge!

This is similar to a card that I've created before, but I like this one better..

This one is one layer and is colored with colored pencils. I also used a masking technique again (I really like masking!)  And of course, I added some cute small hearts around the image. :)

Thanks for visiting! Enjoy your week!

Lawnscaping #37

Hi everyone! I hope your week's are going well so far! Things are well here - we're just trying to avoid the heat! This week is a little bit cooler, but it's still so hot! Yuck!

This week I made a card for the latest Lawnscaping Challege! It's all about dimensions. I had a hard time trying to figure something out at first, but I finally came up with this card:

I had the blue paper with the edges in my scrap pile, so I put that on the bottom and then cut out the clouds, moon, stars and "dream." I used foam adhesives to add some different dimensions (but it's hard to see in the picture). I used Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs," "Bon Voyage," and "Plus One" stamp sets. I also coated the "dream" with some grayish silver eye shadow that I found in my bathroom. I never use the eye shadow, so it's part of my craft stash now!

Well, thanks for looking at my card! Check out the other great cards in this challenge!

This card is also entered into the Young Crafter's Unite monthly challege - layers!

Hello Baby!

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a good Monday. My husband is done with school for the summer and he stayed home while I went to work today - boo! I will make up for that by giving him a Honey Do list for the summer! :)

Anyways, I have a card to share with you for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge.

The clouds and stork bag are paper pieced from patterned paper. I really wanted to use the clouds from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set because it is one of my new sets. I like new stamps! Here is a close up of the card:

Thanks for looking at my cards! I hope the rest of your week goes well! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #30

Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Today I have a card for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge.

The challenge for this week is to create a card inspired by a fellow crafter. I based my card on Maureen's adorable card which you can see here. Once I saw that colorful banner, I knew I wanted to make something fun with my new Lawn Fawn stamp set, Gnome Sweet Gnome. So, here is my card:

Hehe! I think it's cute! I used color pencils to color everything and some images are attached with foam tape (my favorite!).

Oh, and do the bows on the banner look familiar? They're off of the mobile from Lawn Fawn's Plus One set! They were perfect for a banner!

I am also entering this card into Paper Crafts monthly gallery challenge which was to make a card with bands of colors. Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping Challenge #28

Good evening everyone! I have a card to share for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week! I made this card last week but this is the first chance I had to post it. I'm recovering from surgery that I had a few days ago and it was hard to find time to take pictures and upload everything, but I found some time this evening. I'm still feeling a little bit sore, but I should be feeling much better in a few days.

Anyways, the challenge this week was to create a card using some form of distress. This was a challenge because I really like nice and clean cards, but I was able to come up with this card:

I decided to make this card for a friend of ours who is having a baby in September! They don't know if they're having a boy or a girl yet, so I distressed some pink and blue paper behind the baby cutout. Here is a close up of the distressed paper:

This was a really neat challenge and I'm glad that I did it! I might start incorporating some more distressing techniques into my cards! Thanks for looking!!

Lawn Fawn CHA Challenge Part 3

Hello! Ok, here is my final card for the Lawn Fawn CHA Challenge!

I think this is my favorite one! I used the the mobile to make the stars and moon around the card. I also used the two small star stamps as part of the background, but they are hard to see in the picture. Some of the stars are attached with foam tape to make them stand out a little bit, too!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your evening!

Lawn Fawn CHA Challenge Part 2

Here is the second card that I made for the Lawn Fawn Challenge! After I made the first card, I thought it would be neat to make a whole background with the hearts and stars, so that's what I did for the second one:

It took forever to make the background, but I'm really pleased with it! I'm also working on another card for the challenge, so hopefully I will be able to find some time to finish it before Friday!

Well, dishes are calling! Thanks for stopping by!

Lawn Fawn CHA Challenge

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a fun and safe holiday season this year! I'm just glad it is over. It's great to see family, but for us that means traveling all across the state, and that's exhausting!

Today I have some fun Lawn Fawn cards that I want to share with you! I made these cards for the CHA Challenge. The winners will be featured in their catalog and will be shown at their booth at the Craft and Hobby Association trade show! Check out the other cards at the Lawn Fawn blog. They are all so cute!

Anyways, I used the Plus One stamp set. It's one of my favorites! Here is the first card that I made:
