Sending Birthday Fishes!

Good morning! Ah, August is almost over! Where did the summer go? Most of the schools in our area start tomorrow, but my husband's school doesn't start until after Labor Day - woo hoo! We're going to spend the week relaxing, going to the county fair, and maybe camping this weekend!

Anyways, I have a quick card to share with you today! I made this card to send to my brother for his birthday! This card came together so quick - I like when that happens! Usually it takes me a while to figure out exactly how I want everything to look, but this card came together in no time!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Sea" and "Good Fortune", as well as their newest alphabet die cut, "Finley's ABCs." I think alpha dies are so much fun, and this one is so cute!! Here is a close up of the card:

I added some glossy accents to the die cuts to give them some details, and I also added stickles to the air bubbles. The two little fish are attached with foam tape to give them dimension, too!

I am entering this card into the Pretty Pink Posh Cutting Edge Blog Hop!

Well, thanks for stopping by! The new die cut will be available at Lawn Fawn's store on August 28th along with the rest of the new releases! Everything is so, so cute! :)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend is here! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? It's suppose to be really nice here, so we're going to enjoy the weather and visit a bunch of family members! Plus, we'll get to eat lots of yummy food at our early Easter dinner. Win, win, win!! :)

I have wanted to play along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenges for a LONG time and I finally got the chance! Granted, I have had this card made for a while now, but I think it's finally time to share it with you!

This card features Paper Smooches' "Hullabaloo" stamp set. I really like that it includes a solid image of the birthday presents and banners because it makes it super easy to color the images! I first stamped the outline of the images, stamped the colored inside, and then cut each image out. The birthday presents are attached with foam tape and the banner is machine sewn together and also attached with foam tape. I added some glitter ribbon to the ends of the banner and some stickles to give it some sparkle!! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you can enjoy some warmer weather this weekend, too! :)

Happy Bee Day!

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope that you're enjoying your Saturday! I had to work this morning, but since there was a home football game it was nice and quiet. And the rest of my Saturday will be spent doing various projects around the house!

I have a quick card to share with you that I made awhile ago for a friend's birthday!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in Costume," "Gnome Sweet Gnome," and "Milo's ABCs" stamp sets. I had to mirror stamp the one bee to make him face the bear bee. I finished the card off by adding black stickles to bee stripes!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a nice weekend! :)

Kelly's Birthday Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone! Today is a special day because it's Kelly Marie's birthday! Happy Birthday!! The Lawn Fawn girls decided to organize and surprise her with a birthday party blog hop! You should have arrived here from Paulina's blog! If you get lost at any point you can start at the beginning on Tiffany's blog!

Since Kelly Marie is a fan of sunflowers, and since Lawn Fawn just released an adorable sunflower set and die, I decided to send her some flowers on her birthday!

This card features a few of the new Lawn Fawn products! The patterned paper is from the "Peace Joy Love" petite paper pack (who says it just has to be for Christmas!). The flowers, heart, and pot is from the "Our Friendship Grows" stamp set and the sentiment is "Riley's ABCs." I also added some silver sparkle twine around the flower stems and some stickles to the heart and center of the flowers.

Well, I hope that everyone, especially Kelly Marie, enjoyed our little blog hop! The next stop is the talented Vicki Papaioannou! :)

Lawnscaping #65 - My Favorite Things!

Happy Labor Day everyone!! Do you get to enjoy a day off from work today? I hope so! :)

We're back again with another Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to create a card using your favorite things!

For this challenge, I created a birthday tag set! :)

My favorite things are to use Lawn Fawn products, and especially the cute critter sets! "Critters in the Forest" is an older set, but it's a new one for me, so I am having fun playing with it! These tags also feature "Year Three" stamp set, as well as one of Lawn Fawn's new releases - "Winter Gifts" stamps and "Tag, You're It" dies. The tag dies make it so easy to create tags - perfect for Christmas!

The winner of the challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp, so don't forget to play along! :)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a great week! :)

Lawn Fawn Love!

Hi everyone! I hope that your week is going well! I'm so excited because today one of my cards is featured on the Lawn Fawn blog!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm" and "Year Two" stamp sets. This was one of my first Lawn Fawn sets and it's still one of my favorites. The cute critters make me smile every time! The images and the grass are cut from white or patterned paper and are attached with foam tape to create some dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your day! :)

Happy Birthday Cake!

Hi everyone! Have you been enjoying the summer weather this year? I have not! I am not a fan of really hot weather and this past week was way too hot for me. My husband and I were on vacation last week and we thought it would be a little bit cooler since we were traveling north, but it was not! Yuck! I am so thankful for fans and air conditioners! :)

I have a fun and colorful birthday card to share with you today!

I was playing with the new birthday set by Lawn Fawn ("Year Three") and I thought it would make the perfect cake! So, I put the sentiment on a cake stand and added some candles. Of course you can't have a party without banners, so I added some colorful ones at the top. They are from Lawn Fawn's "Blue Skies" stamp set and die. I added some hearts and stars to make the party even more festive! :)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a great day! :)

You will have a happy birthday!

Hello! I hope that the weather is starting to feel like spring where you are! Today it was in the 70s and it was wonderful! I wanted to stay outside all day! :)

I have a birthday card that I made recently that I wanted to share.

When you pull on the fortunes, this is what they say:

I was surprised at how easy it was to make a moving card! I made a small slit behind the cookies and slid the fortunes behind the patterned paper. I added a little piece of extra paper to the end so that you can't pull the fortunes out the whole way. These images are all from Lawn Fawn's "Good Fortune" stamp and die set, and the patterned paper is from October Afternoon's "9 to 5" collection.

Have you ever made a moving or sliding card? Thanks for stopping by! :)

Let's Celebrate!

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope that your week is off to a good start. We just got a bunch of snow all day yesterday and last night. This better be the last of the snow! It is so pretty, but I'm tired of the cold weather!

Today is my mother-in-law's birthday, so I wanted to share a fun birthday card to celebrate!

I took a picture of the card from an angle so that you can see the sparkly candles! This card features Paper Smooches "Hullabaloo" stamp set. I stamped the sentiment first, and then added a line of candles on each side. I colored the candles and flame in with markers and then added Stickles to the candles and glossy accents to the flames. It's so sparkly!

This evening we're going to Outback for dinner and I'm super excited. It will be delicious! I hope that you have a good evening, too! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Birthday Balloons!

Hi everyone! It has been way too long since I've had a chance to do some crafting! I am very thankful for my new job, but it means less craft time. My husband and I are also getting a bunch of things ready for a youth group event this weekend, too, so I've had even less time! Maybe next week! :)

I do have a card that I wanted to share with you though made with my new Paper Smooches stamps! Yay!

It is a very clean and simple birthday card which features the "Hullabaloo" stamp set from Paper Smooches. I paper pieced the balloons from Pebbles patterned paper and added some black Recollection pearls to help even things out.

I hope that you enjoyed the card! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? Our youth group is participating in a 30 Hour Famine, so I will have a hungry, but very blessed, weekend! I can't wait! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #25

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

Welcome to the last day of the 25 Cards of Christmas! I had a lot of fun creating and sharing these cards with you, and I hope that you have enjoyed them! The last card in the series is actually a birthday card!

As much fun as it is to get gifts and to enjoy Christmas cookies, Jesus is the true reason for the season! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

This card features a recycled Christmas card from last year. I attached the image onto a kraft card base, and then used Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" and "Plus One" stamp sets to decorate around the image.

I pray that you and your family have a wonderful and safe Christmas day.

 Merry Christmas! :)

LF CHA Winter 2013 Challenge!

Hello again, everyone!

I just wanted to share a quick card that I made this week for the Lawn Fawn CHA Winter 2013 Challenge!

After I stamped the waves onto the paper, I cut the blue paper a little bit longer than the card base so that the waves hang off the edge. Then I paper pieced the critters and hats! I also added some glitter to the birthday hats and the air bubbles to give it some sparkle! (Glitter is so much fun!)

Thanks for stopping by! There are some really awesome projects included in this challenge, so check them out as well! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #40

Good morning everyone! I hope that everyone is having a good week so far. I'm very excited because after work today, my co-workers are taking me out to dinner! Since my husband and I are moving soon, my co-workers wanted to give me a going away dinner. They're all so sweet!

I have another card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge!

The challenge was to create your own patterned paper with stamps. Here is my card:

I used the two birthday hats from Lawn Fawn's "Hats Off to You" stamp set, along with the hearts, stars, and candle stamps from "Bake Me a Cake." I stamped the images all over white card stock and colored the images with markers. I knew I wanted to use black stickers to spell "Happy Birthday," but I didn't want the background to overwhelm the card too much, so I used my Sew Easy tool (it was sew easy to use!) and attached a piece of vellum to the front! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Tuesday! :)

HB2U!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you all have a great weekend! I was able to attend a friend's wedding this weekend and it was wonderful! She looked amazing, the rain held off, and everything went smoothly. They even had an ice cream truck show up at the reception!! Yum!

I have a card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - to make your own patterned paper with stamps!

I dug through my stamp collection and picked out a bunch of Lawn Fawn stamps to use for my patterned paper. Here it is!

The pink and orange strips use the heart and star stamps from "Bake Me a Cake" and "Plus One". The green strip is the dashed line from "Bon Voyage" and one of the straight lines from "Bake Me a Cake." The blue (which is a little bit hard to see) has a wavy line that is from "Gnome Sweet Gnome." And the purple strip has the swirly stamp from "Bake Me a Cake." Then I stamped some stars on yellow card stock, the "hb2u" on white paper, cut them out, added some glittered, and adhered them to the card!

That was a lot of fun to create patterned paper! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your Monday! :)

P.S. I am also entering this card into the Young Crafters Unite Challenge! Check out the amazing cards over there!

Lawnscaping Challenge #35

Good evening! I have a new card to share with you today! I made this for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge - patterned paper! I don't use a lot of patterned paper, so this was a challenge, but I had a lot of fun. :)

Here is my card!

Here is a close up of the critters!

The background, fish, octopus, and hat are all cut out from different patterned papers. I had to make the one fish face the other way, but it was really easy! I inked the small fish, wiped off his smile and stamped him on paper. Then I took a small black marker and drew on a new smile so that he faced the other way!

On a personal note, I would really appreciate it if you could keep my father-in-law in your prayers as he is having a lung biopsy done tomorrow afternoon. Pray that everything goes well, he has a speedy recovery, and that we get some good news!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #32

Good evening! I hope everyone's week is going well so far. We're one day closer to the weekend!

I have another card to share with you for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week.

One of my friends from church, Matthew, will be turning 2 in a few weeks, so I made him this card! He's going to enjoy it because he really likes farm animals!

I just now realized that the "Happy Birthday Matthew!" is a little bit crooked. Opps! It's still cute! I am also entered this card to the Young Crafters Unite challenge! This months challenge is to made a card without coloring! This farm scene is completely paper pieced and stamped! It took a little bit of time, but it was fun to make. The sun is suppose to be a flower, but I added a button and a bow so that you can't see it's a flower!

Thanks again for looking! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Lawnscaping Challenge #29

Good morning everyone! I have two cards to share with you today! I made both of these cards for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week. The challenge was to create a card based on this sketch:

I used the sketch to make a birthday card!

I know of so many birthdays in March and April, so I need to get the ball rolling on birthday cards. I think this is a good start! It's hard to see in the picture, but I used a glossy accent on the icing to make it look like sticky, gooey icing. And I used dimensional tape on the cake and hearts.

Here is a close up on the cake:

Happy Birthday, Jordyn!

Today my husband and I going to a birthday party for a super cute little girl named Jordyn! She is so such a joy to be around and always has a smile on her face. A few months ago, my husband and I had dinner with her family and after dinner we played Scrabble. She was my teammate and now every time I see her, she always asks if I remember playing Scrabble with her. So, for her birthday, I made her a Scrabble card!!

I hope she likes the card! Happy Birthday, Jordyn!

Cupcake Card

Good morning! Today I have a birthday card to share that I made using the Lawn Fawn Bake Me a Cake stamp set. It is definitely one of my favorite stamp sets because there is so much that you can do with it! For this card, I made cupcakes!

Here is a close up on the cupcakes:

This card and layout were so fun and easy to make.
Thanks for looking! Enjoy your week!
