Good morning all
Sorry I've been a bit absent this week - it's been another busy one! We went away for the weekend to a boccia tournament (pronounced bo (as in bottom!) -cha) . Its a bowls type game - a para-Olympic sport and very skilled, and very quiet! My son Tom (who is disabled and uses a wheelchair) has been playing for about a year and a half now and it was his first big tournament, so we had two nights away in Sheffield. He got knocked out on the first day but we wet back on Sunday to see the finals and I really enjoyed it. It was also my birthday on Saturday so we had a night out to celebrate - a good weekend all round : ) Thank you to all my crafty friends for your lovely cards and good wishes for my birthday - now I'm just on the countdown to the next one - don't these years just roll by!!
I hope spring is springing where you are - there's definitely signs around here, we have crocuses and mini daffodils in our garden (as well as lots of garden mess and broken pots so lots of tidying up to get down to)
We have a Spring themed challenge at
The Paper Shelter
this week we would love to see your
Spring Delights
and by coincidence over at my challenge blog at Fab'n'Funky Challenge
we have a spring based challenge too
we would love you to
Spring into Colour!
I used one of the newer images and matching digi papers from The Paper Shelter
The minute I saw this image when our lovely Veronica at TPS sent it to me
I just loved too. I printed the paper twice and decoupaged several of the flowers to embellish it - I think it worked rather well. With just a few butterflies, bows and gems and a couple of die cuts and some scrap off cuts to make some little twirls on the butterflies - oh and of course a spot of glitter just for good measure! - She's such a pretty trendy girlie! She started off with blonde hair but I gave her a touch of pink when I was adding shading to her dress with my prismacolour pencil - i think she looks as if she would have pink highlights!
As always we have a fabulous prize on offer at TPS
and don't forget we have a DT call too!
This is what I did..
Image and digi paper - Spring Trends from TPS
Coloured with copics and Prismcolor pencils
Green card - Bazzill basics
Die - Chloe stem from Memory box
butterfly punch - Martha Stewart
Gems and bows from my stash
Mini dazzles - John Lewis (in a sale bin!)
Gltter - stickles
I do hope I have inspired you to dip your toes into the Spring season - there are so many lovely spring themed images around just now - I'd love to come and visit to see yours!
Challenges I'm entering with this card
Hugs
