Going wild at Moving along with the Times

Hi Blogfriends

I'm really late with my DT card for

We've had problems with our phone and internet connection since Wednesday and I haven't been able to do a thing - never mind they came out and it eventually got sorted tonight, but i've got some serious catching up to do!

Our lovely Hazel has chosen the theme

In the Wild

and I had the perfect little stamp for it

I just bought this a couple of weeks ago - my very first house Mouse stamp!
I know most of you are gasping in horror - but yes it's true!

I decided to keep it very simple - to me it just says "Easter"

This is what I did....

Image - Housemouse Easter egg napp
Papers - First Edition Spring drop
Coloured with copics
Dies - Spellbinders Captivating Squares
(I saw them on the lovely Carol's blog a few weeks back and just had to have them)

Without words - bunny/Easter
Deep ocean challenge - Easter/ celebration
Crafting for all seasons - pastel hues

I hope you'll join us and go wild at MAWTT this week

Spring is on its way - at The Paper Shelter - and a DT Call reminder!

Good morning all

Sorry I've been a bit absent this week - it's been another busy one!  We went away for the weekend to a boccia tournament (pronounced bo (as in bottom!) -cha) .  Its a bowls type game - a para-Olympic sport and very skilled, and very quiet! My son Tom (who is disabled and uses a wheelchair) has been playing for about a year and a half now and it was his first big tournament, so we had two nights away in Sheffield.  He got knocked out on the first day but we wet back on Sunday to see the finals and I really enjoyed it.  It was also my birthday on Saturday so we had a night out to celebrate - a good weekend all round : )  Thank you to all my crafty friends for your lovely cards and good wishes for my birthday - now I'm just on the countdown to the next one - don't these years just roll by!!

I hope spring is springing where you are - there's definitely signs around here, we have crocuses and mini daffodils in our garden (as well as lots of garden mess and broken pots so lots of tidying up to get down to)

We have a Spring themed challenge at

The Paper Shelter

this week we would love to see your

Spring Delights

and by coincidence over at my challenge blog at Fab'n'Funky Challenge
we have a spring based challenge too

we would love you to

Spring into Colour!

I used one of the newer images and matching digi papers from The Paper Shelter
called Spring Trends  this pretty set is available HERE

The minute I saw this image when our lovely Veronica at TPS sent it to me
I just loved  too.  I printed the paper twice and decoupaged several of the flowers to embellish it - I think it worked rather well.  With just a few butterflies, bows and gems and a couple of die cuts and some scrap off cuts to make some little twirls on the butterflies - oh and of course a spot of glitter just for good measure! - She's such a pretty trendy girlie!  She started off with blonde hair but I gave her a touch of pink when I was adding shading to her dress with my prismacolour pencil - i think she looks as if she would have pink highlights!

As always we have a fabulous prize on offer at TPS

Challenge prize badge

and don't forget we have a DT call too!

This is what I did..

Image and digi paper - Spring Trends from TPS
Coloured with copics and Prismcolor pencils
Green card - Bazzill basics
Die - Chloe stem from Memory box
butterfly punch - Martha Stewart
Gems and bows from my stash
Mini dazzles - John Lewis (in a sale bin!)

I do hope I have inspired you to dip your toes into the Spring season - there are so many lovely spring themed images around just now - I'd love to come and visit to see yours!

DT call over at The Paper Shelter

Hi all

Just a quick heads up!

There's a DT call over at The Paper Shelter

If you'd like to be part of this fab team - just check it out HERE

Focus on the image at Fab'n'Funky challenges

Good morning all

What do you know it's Wednesday all over again!
The weeks are flying by, the days are getting longer and we've had sunshine!
It's lovely to think that another couple of weeks and it will be spring, I love when the weather gets warmer and we can have the doors and windows open and warmer weather.

We have a lovely challenge for you at

Fab'n'Funky Challenges

this week it is

Focus On the Image

What we want is - lots of image - few embellies and papers lol!

The image I used is the lovely Pansie
from Artbymiran available here

I have to confess that this is a bit less CAS than I would usually make for a challenge like this
- but.... and this is getting to be a bad habit of mine!
- I didn't read the challenge properly
Not that I put a whole card together or anything but I cut, coloured and glittered a whole batch of flowers and leaves to make a pretty big ornate card, only to realise that I wasn't supposed to be making that sort of card at all!! - but I just had to use at least one flower, so I allowed myself to use just one and hoped you wouldn't notice lol. - the rest will be following on another card I think.

Our lovely sponsor for this challenge is

and the prize is 3 digi images of the winner's choice

This is what I did.....

Image - Pansie by Artbymiram
Coloured with copics
Flower and leaf stamps - Sheen Douglas
Coloured with copics and TH distress inks
Glitter - Martha Stewart
Sentiment stamp- Its only words from Ladybird crafts
Paper - LOTV - timeless victorian
Stitched rectangle die - Mama Elephant

See - it is fairly CAS!

Hope you can be a bit more focused on the image than I was  - see you over at Fab'n'Funky

Challenges I'm entering with this card

Artbymiran - anything goes (19/3)
Fresh brewed - flowers (17/03)

Get your bunnies out!

Good morning all

What did you think I meant lol!

No I'm not being rude - honest! - you really need to hunt out all those cute bunnies and join in with our challenge over at MAWTT this week

It's just the right time of year for a cute bunny challenge
So that's our theme for the week

Show us  a bunny

and I knew I had a great stamp that I wanted to use - its a Penny Black stamp that I saw on someones blog a while back - I really loved it and it took a bit of tracking down but I eventually found it - then promptly put it away and never even used it!

Some of my MAWTT buddies might remember a few months back when we had a hedgehog challenge - I think hosted by our lovely Janice  (Happy Birthday for today Janice! ) - I was convinced that this stamp was a hedgehog  and was going to use it then, only to discover the rabbit asleep on the front - I'm sure he chased the hedgehog away lol.   but no it's taken me until now to finally unveil it! - The bunny's cute - but it's the geraniums I really love on this stamp - and it's a dream to colour : ) - it's a really big stamp too, this is an 8x8 inch card.

Anyway - this is what I did....

Image - Dreaming Geraniums from Penny Black
Coloured with Copics and prismacolour pencils
Papers - K & Co (check) and LOTV  (floral)
Kraft card - Crafters companion
Burlap sheet from DCWV
Punch - Martha Stewart
circles - spellbinders and tattered lace
Burlap ribbon - Michaels
Mothers day stamp- stamping all day (they're great fro customised stamps)
DI - TH walnut stain

I did also have a set of leaves and flowers all made up for this card - but in the end decided it was better without them - sometimes less is more!

Hope you'll join in with our challenge this week - I'm dying to come and see your bunnies!!

Don't you just love a fairy!

Good morning all

Hope you're all doing well today
I've come down a bit from my orbit that I've been in for the last few days lol
Some days i'm sure i'll meet myself on the way back!

We have a one of those challenges today at

-that I always enjoy - because I know it will bring lots of  pretty cards
the theme is

Fairies

I used a really cute image from TPS called
"There's a Fairy in my Tea" available HERE

This was one of those cards that I had no clue as to what I was making when I started!
I printed the image off - fairly large and cut it in a circle die and chose the pretty papers
After that it just sort of fell together by accident with some green card a couple dies and some ribbon and lace and pearls!  Photographing cards is such a problem this time of year (well for me it is!) - I much prefer natural light, and with much effort I eventually got this one by standing it on the windowsill in the conservatory -there's even a bit of greenery out there, could spring be on its way?!

As usual we have a great prize on offer at TPS challenge

The gift voucher

This is what I did....

Image - There's a Fairy in my Teacup from TPS
Coloured with copics
Papers - Two of a kind from LOTV
Card - Bazzill Basics

Hope to see you at the Paper Shelter this week!

We have a flowers challenge over at Buckwells Crafty Challenge....

.... and I'm sorry to say I'm late : (

Hi all

I do hope you're all keeping safe and warm today - we've had horrible cold windy weather here and I haven't set foot out of the door today brrr...

If you've been around this week you'll know about the new communication aid my son has got this week - the good news is its going well.  We've spent a lot of time this last couple of days getting to grips with it and also loading up some stuff for him to use at uni tomorrow when he goes in.  He has a short film script to write and has to do a short talk on his ideas, so between writing of the script and getting it all set out for him to use he's excited and nervous about his first outing with it tomorrow - I'm certain he'll do well.

Anyway after dinner tonight I suddenly realised that in among all of this I had totally forgotten that March has arrived and my DT post was due for

my very first challenge - not a very good first day impression - sorry Lozzy : /

who are offering a prize of 3 digis to the winner
plus an image each for the top 3
