We're planning ahead!

We are planning ahead and we feel some things can safely be put on the calendar...Christmas and the Winter holiday season is coming!  Not to mention our rainy season right?  Anyway, it's always a good time for sewing and stitching and here are some of our latest winter arrivals.  Hope you will be inspired to get some holiday gift making and home decorating underway!

As our local COVID numbers continue to restrict business activity and school operations we have limited hours.  We feel it is important to be part of the solution and want to do our best to help mitigate the ongoing spread of COVID-19.   We are transitioning to new school schedules and will reset our shop hours once we have an idea about our homeschool obligations.  

We are open for walk-in shopping on Thursday and Friday from 1:00 - 4:00pm 

and

 Saturday 11:00 - 2:00pm.  

There are a few appointments available on these days as well for individual shopping, if openings are available they will be reflected on the calendar in the link.  Please use the website booking tool to reserve a spot.   

We have implemented a few changes to our shop layout and business practices to help maintain social distancing, upgraded sanitizing efforts and require that all customers wear facial coverings for the duration of their visit.  In-store retail visits are encouraged to adhere to the recommended 30 minute limit per Washington State safe-start guidelines.  If you would like assistance with your project or selecting fabrics please consider making an appointment to ensure staff availability.  We are also happy to arrange for 

curbside pick-up, just give us a call at 360 715-1629.    

Holiday Sewing

Are you ready for holiday decorating and gift-making...are you ahead of schedule or woefully behind?  We know there are many ways to get through this hectic season and a bit of sewing therapy is a popular method that we fully embrace!  

We've got some quick gifts, and fun additions that will make gift giving and gift-wrapping that much more fun!  We love reusable fabric gift bags, and the addition of an iron snowflake applique makes these simple ones extra special.

It's almost Turkey Day! Meaning it's time to relax and embrace some loose fitting clothes right?.. 

However, that's still a few days away. For now, we're still enjoying our fall-themed fabrics, both traditional and contemporary! 

We'll be closed to enjoy some time with friends and family on Thursday November 28th.  

We're expecting some chilly weather soon, and it's time to enjoy some holiday baking as we'll soon be engulfed with Christmas shopping and holiday preparations. (For Christmas early-birds keep a look out for our holiday blog post...)

Something cool is coming...

Yes - it is hot outside and inside too these days, not to mention all the smoke in the air from the wildfires.  But it's never too hot to sew right?  Or dream about winter cold, wet and white that will be back before we're ready for it!  The holidays are coming and since we do know people who think Halloween is only for chocolate, we have some Christmas fabrics mixing in with our fun Halloween fabrics.  Are you ready to get inspired and start your projects sooner than than the night before Christmas?

Don't miss out on a chance to relax and stitch with us...we've got a couple of dates for some play time with wool felt.  The class fee includes the pattern for 5 ornaments and wool felt to create two.  Bring a friend and enjoy some social time or make one for a gift and you'll be ahead on your list!  We have two dates set right now - Sunday December 6th from 10-noon OR Thursday evening December 10th from 6:30-8:00pm for $25.00.  Stop by or give us a call to register!

As the summer is winding down, it is time to get started on sewing for the holidays - great fabrics for new quilts to decorate the house or perfect choices for table runners and fun gifts for family and friends.

We've added to our collection of holiday metallics - and even have an extra-wide 108 inch wide cream with gorgeous gold metallic poinsettias, perfect for an extra tablecloth or quilt back.   

And this group Holly' s Tree - is pretty fun with some great diagonal stripes that add punch for the perfect binding.  We still have a few precuts left for this collection - it's a versatile group for sure!
