Hello Friends!! I hope this post finds you well!! It is hard to believe that we are already on the second month of 2017.  Where does the time go?  In a week it will be Valentine's Day.  Other than making cards for my dear daughters or for my hubby, I generally do not create Valentine's Day.  I do, however, make wedding and/or anniversary cards and the dies and stamps this month at ODBD are perfect.

Today's ODBD Shining the Light challenge at ODBD is a Wedding Inspiration.  I had fun picking and or creating a photo collage of wedding cakes, treats, flowers, and etc.

Since Valentine's Day is about pink or red, the inspiration is peach.

Here is my creation:

Our Daily Bread Designs, designed by Chris Olsen, Bitty Borders, Layering Hearts, Small Bow, Tulip Hearts, Lavish Layers, Pierced Rectangles

It was fun to make a his and her heart to symbolize a bride and a groom.  I used sparkly white glitter paper, black glitter cardstock, and silver metallic cardstock to add elegance.

We would love to have you join us for the challenge!!  You have until March 5th at 8 pm EST to add your creation to the linky.  For your first creation, you may use any stamps but any additional entries must include Our Daily Bread Designs, Northcoast Creations or Artistic Outpost stamps!

For more inspiration for this challenge, please visit my dt sisters:

While many associate the verse below with a wedding or anniversary, it applies to us all.  We are called upon to Love our neighbor as ourselves.  When you read the paper, watch the news or even observe the world around you, you can see that many do not Love as God calls us to.  We are more concerned about ourselves or our reputations than those around us.  What can you do today to show love to those around you and to let them know you care.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for your comments!! They are so appreciated!

hugs,

I hope you all are enjoying your summer!!  Summer is definitely here with the warm humid temperatures here in Virginia!!  I am not at all complaining..with the heat we have the sunshine!  Sunshine even when you are indoors has a way of uplifting your emotions and attitude!!  It reminds me of the verse "He has made everything beautiful in it's time. Hello friends!! I hope everyone is staying cool.

The normal boiling hot and humid days of summer have arrived here in Virginia this week.  After what seems like months of rain, the humidity and heat is now here.  The temperatures are in the high 90's with heat indexes of 100 degrees.  What do I do in this heat...naturally I mow the lawn for 2 1/2 hours. LOL!  Oh well...the price you pay for going away and spending time with family on the weekend. It is now done and I have cooled down in the ice cold shower and air conditioning.  I thank God for the air conditioning in our home!!!

Today I am popping in to share a card I am making for the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.    This week's challenge is: White, Ivory and/or your choice of one other color.

Here is a wedding card I made with To the Lovebirds for my niece and her husband to be The scalloped layers are created with the Spellbinders Scalloped Borders one.  The sentiment is framed with a labels fourteen die from Spellbinders.  The top is embossed with a Darice Damask embossing folder.  The butterfly is Cheery Lynn Exotic butterflies-small.

Happy Thursday all!! I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer!!  This week has been a little cloudy and warm but at least we have had a little less rain.  Our weather has been unseasonably rainy.  I have to say, that my flowers are loving it though!!

Today I am popping in to share a card that I made for yet another wedding and some gorgeous flowers.  Tis the year and season for weddings....so...time to share another wedding card.

I incorporated the SC444 sketch created by Janette Olen for Splitcoast Stampers and the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge: Love, Wedding or Anniversary.

I have enjoyed creating my own backgrounds and designer paper by brayering an embossing folder.  This folder is the Darice Damask folder brayered with Soft Sky ink.  The floral ribbon banner is cut out with a custom ODBD Birdcage and Banner die.

CARD RECIPE
Stamps Used: Our Daily Bread Designs- Wedding Blessings Anniversary Blessings

Dies Used: ODBD Bird Cage and Banner Dies ODBD Quatrefoil Pattern Die ,
Spellbinders Gold Labels Four and A2 Scalloped Borders One, Spellbinders Squares and Scalloped Circles

Embossing folder: Darice Damask (brayered with Soft Sky)

Ink: Soft Sky, Black

and now to my favorites...from God's natural artwork in my garden!!!  I love all the surprises each day brings....I won't bore you with all 21 varieties....

Of course the addition of my daughter, Nicki, in the photo just makes the flowers that much more beautiful and special

Thanks for stopping by!!
May God Bless you!!

Happy 4th of July all!! I hope everyone in the USA has a blessed holiday as we remember the freedoms and birth of our nation!! I know I am so thankful for our freedoms and remember all the sacrifices of men and women to keep them, both of our veterans, servicemen and women as well as their families!!  Thanks be to God for such a blessing!!

Today I would like to share a quick red, white and blue card I created.

I had to join the color challenge of red, white and blue (cc433) at Splitcoast Stampers but instead of doing the dessert of Patriotic, I decided to combine this challenge with yesterday's TLC436, Twisted Traditions (use holiday colors from a holiday and make a non holiday card). I used the July 4th colors to make a wedding card.

For my card I used To the Love Birds (birds) and Love Scriptures just released from Our Daily Bread Designs.

The bottom of my card is scored and pearls are adhered here and there. The borders are created with the Spellbinders Scalloped Borders One. The ribbon is May Arts Navy Silk.

This also fits the ODBDSLC160 (Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light) Red, White and blue or Patriotic challenge.

Our Daily Bread Designs  is having a 4th of July Sale now through Sunday, July
7th! Discount is available for retail customers, on the purchase
of STAMPS only, and excludes clearance products.

To receive your discount, please remember to add your code to

Have a blessed holiday and weekend!!!  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Hi all!!!  I hope everyone is doing well!! I am so sorry for my absence so much lately but I have some things to sort through in my mind and crafting has taken sort of a back seat for now.  I pray I will be back to my normal self soon.

Anywho.....today I have a sneak peek to share with you from Our Daily Bread Designs that is going to be released on July 1!!! You are going to love these sets!! I know I do!!

I have several relatives or friends getting married in the next few months...This card is one I made for one of my nieces using the stamp set Wedding Blessings to be released at ODBD next Monday!!

I always love white or ivory for weddings.  It just looks so elegant.  The background is embossed with the Darice Fleur De Lis embossing folder and/or created with the Our Daily Bread Designs Quatrefoil Pattern Die.  I wanted to give it an envelope look with lots of greenery to match my nieces elegant tastes.

The Mr. and Mrs is framed or cut out with the Spellbinders Labels 4 die.  The leaves are created with the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die and the Martha Stewart Foliage punch (embossed with SU Basket Weave on old olive paper).

I hope you enjoyed my creation and are somehow inspired!! May God bless you with a wonderful weekend!!!  We hope to see you at the ODBD blog for our next New Release at Our Daily Bread Designs on Monday!!!

hugs and blessings,
