Hello Friends!! I hope all is well!! I hope you are all warm and safe....a couple more weeks until it is Spring here (at least by date). Only one month until Easter!! I am so ready not only for Spring flowers and the warmer weather. We have had so much snow in the last few weeks.
As we approach Easter, I know I reflect on how blessed I am to have a Savior who gave His life for me not for my works but by grace alone I am saved because I believe and have faith and trust in Him. If it were for works, I would be sunk!!! I am by no means perfect.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son. John 3:16
Today's card uses the colors for the color challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs which is pastels. I went with the light blue, light purple, and green. My colors are a tad bit brighter but that was the closest I could get.
Here are the colors for the challenge:
For more inspiration, please visit my dt sisters: Paula, Robin, Elizabeth, Gracie, Diana, and Chris
To join the challenge please see the details here. We look forward to seeing your creations!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
May God bless you!! Thank you so much for all your kind words!!

Happy Thursday Friends!! I hope everyone is doing well!! I can't believe Easter is right upon us!! Where does the time go?!! I am not only excited for celebrating the resurrection of a Savior but also that my parents are coming to visit for a week!! I have been so looking forward spending time with them.
Today I am popping in to share a card and Wish you all a Blessed Easter!!!
This card was created for a challenge at Splitcoast where Dawn challenged participants to take a slice off the front of the card and have the sentiment show on one side. What a fun style and fold. I did not use any designer paper but rather used Our Daily Bread Designs Chalkboard Words Background stamped in lovely lilac and the sentiment from ODBD The Cross. The cross on the top is cut out with ODBD Ornamental Cross die.
The border on the top is the ODBD Beautiful Borders die.
This card also fits this week's Shining the Light challenge at ODBD which is to make an Easter showing the true meaning of Easter and use pastels.

Hello friends!!!
Today I have a sneak peak of the upcoming dies, stamps and papers from Our Daily Bread Designs to be shared with you!! I love the new Faith paper to be released from Our Daily Bread Designs on Tuesday, some of my panels had to be smaller to allow the gorgeous image to not be covered.
The Cross sentiment and Flourish Border Label as well as the Ornamental Cross Die and Vintage Flourish Pattern dies are from Our Daily Bread Designs and will be released on Tuesday. The only die or stamp used that is available currently is the Decorative Corner Die.
This verse or sentiment has such a powerful message and is wonderful as we prepare our hearts and minds for Easter. There is no greater love than laying down your life.
John 15:13
Greater love has no man than this , than a man lay down his life for his friends
By these words our Lord shows, how far love to another should extend, even to the laying down of our lives for the brethren; which is the highest instance of love among men;
that a man lay down his life for his friends; and in which believers, should not come short of them; and also his great love to his people, and explains what he had just said, "as I have loved you", John 13:34; which in a little time would be seen, by his laying down his life for them.
He not only came down from heaven, and laid aside his glory and royal majesty, but he laid down his life; not his gold and silver, and the riches of this world, which were all his, but his life; than which, nothing is dearer to a man, is himself, his all.
Christ's life was not a common one, it was not the life of an innocent person only, or the life of a mere man, but of a man in union with the Son of God; it was the Lord of glory and Prince of life, who was crucified, and slain. His life had never been forfeited by sin, nor could it have been forced away from him by men or devils as is seen when He was tempted by the devil himself on the mountain. It was laid down of and by himself, freely and voluntarily; and that "for", in the room, and instead of his people, as a ransom for them; he being their surety and substitute, and standing in their legal place and stead. We deserved to die and be separated from God but yet in order for us to be forgiven by God, Jesus had to be our mediator. He gave all He had for us!! What a sacrifice and what love!!
Have a blessed day!!

Hello Friends!!
I hope everyone is doing well!! Today is the second week of Anniversary challenges at Our Daily Bread Designs.
This week's challenge is to use purple, lavender or Amethyst on your creation since the Anniversary stone for a 6 year Anniversary is Amethyst.
Here is my creation:
I had a blast coloring up my Bee Balm in Lavender and Purple!!! I wanted to create some texture and interest so I embossed the background in Sizzix Circles and Dots and used the shape of Decorative Labels 28 and Labels 28. In order to keep the card standing I made a straight bottom on the back panel. The sentiment is from Earth's Gladdest Day.
Easter will be here before we know it although it comes later this year so I thought it time to begin some spring/Easter cards.
To me it is no surprise that Easter occurs in Spring as the flowers and plants experience new life once again. What symbolism!! We too can receive new life through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. What a gift of new life if we only believe.
John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...
As we see the new life sprout around us, we have so much to rejoice in!!!!

Happy Tuesday Friends!! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend or Palm Sunday. It is hard to believe next week is Easter!! Usually I think of Spring when I think of Easter...not so this weekend. We got over 4 inches of snow and sleet!! Oh well...making cards with pastels made me feel like spring.
Today I would like to share one of those cards. Since next week is Easter, the Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs wants to see your Easter creations with the theme "He is Risen". Here is my creation using Scripture Collection 10, Let the Earth Rejoice and Happy Spring. The egg in the background is one I made out of wood using Words of Faith and Happy Spring/Pussy Willow and Egg for a centerpiece at Easter.
Card Recipe:

ODBD Dies Used: Recipe Card and Tags Die
other dies: Spellbinders Labels 27, Classic Circles, Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourisih

Hello Friends!!
I just love Easter and the hope and new life Christ brought when he died on the cross so I decided to make an Easter Centerpiece using Words of Faith and Happy Spring/Pussy Willow and Egg from Our Daily Bread Designs. Rather than stamping on paper, I stamped on wooden eggs. What a fun project!! For complete step by step directions and materials, you can see my tutorial at the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog here.

Happy Tuesday all!! I hope you are all having a fantastic week!! Right now I am sitting in a coffee ship writing this post since we lost power, the internet, and phone this weekend. It has been three days now and oh how I miss it!! It always amazes how the conveniences we take so for granted can shake up our lives when it is not there. I am so thankful for the modern conveniences.
Since I have very limited time, I better get right to it.
Today I would like to share a card for the Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light challenge. Since spring is on it's way...I hope. This week's challenge is Spring has Sprung with ODBD Stamps. Unlike most challenges, this is a challenge using Our Daily Bread Designs stamps.
With Easter just around the corner, I just had to make a Spring/Easter card!! For my card I used one of the new verses released for the 5th year Anniversary at ODBD- Scripture Collection 10. What a perfect Easter verse!!! To add more of a Spring feel, I used green and butterflies from the Faith stamp set and Pussy Willow's from Happy Spring. The dies used include Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, Floral Ovals, Basic Lattice and Classic Ovals.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Faith, Scripture Collection 10, Happy Spring
Dies: Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, Floral Ovals, Classic Ovals, Basic Lattice
Ink: Sage
Paper: Neenah White, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Celebration Ribbon, Silver Baubles, Pearls, Becca's Bow Maker

Happy Friday All!! I am so happy for the weekend and that this weekend I get to have time with my dear hubby. After him being laid off and being home all the time for almost three months, I became used to it and I so missed him this last week. He had many very long days at work. Tomorrow it will feel like we are back to normal...at least for the weekend!! I am so happy though that he has found work and that he is happy!! God is good!!!
Here in Virginia, many schools have been closed and others have 2 hour delays due to ice. Where is Spring? Will it be here soon...it is here with me in my creations and mind. LOL!!
For today's card, I used Our Daily Bread Designs Let The Earth Rejoice , Earth's Gladdest Day , crocheted border , and Chalkboard- hymns to make a springy card. The Designer paper is my Mind's Eye.

Hello Friends!! I don't know about you but boy am I ready for Spring!! The temperature here has been unseasonably COLD!! Yesterday we woke up to 9 degrees...now in NY I expected that but not here in VA!!
I decided to make a card that was not too frilly for a couple rather than just plain feminine. I used darker masculine colors but still added a couple flourishes and a bow. I just love this little lamb from The Shepherd!! I colored him with copics and sponged the background. The lamb is framed with ODBD's Elegant Ovals.
The shape of the card uses Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles as does the inner framing. The inside of that frame was cut out and lattice was adhered on the inside using Spellbinders Lattice . Behind the lattice an old olive panel. The bow is Mauve May Arts Silk ribbon. The flourishes are created using Cheery Lynn's Fanciful Flourish.
Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps Used: The Shepherd
ODBD Dies Used: Elegant Oval Dies
Dies: Spellbinders Resplendent Rectangles, Spellbinders Lattice, Spellbinders Banners, Cheery Lynn's Fanciful Flourish
Accessories: The bow is Mauve May Arts Silk ribbon tied with the bow easy.
I also made this card, When I think of how Jesus died for me, I think of the Song Amazing Grace!!
I used this month's ODBD release Chalkboard- Amazing Grace . The paper is from Echo Park Vintage Collection. The border is created with Spellbinders Parisian Accents.
