Hello Friends!!  I hope this post finds you all well and enjoying a wonderful weekend!! It has been beautiful here...warm during the day but not too warm and cool in the evening.  We had a great time as a family sitting out in the backyard having a fire. Boy did that fire feel good in the brisk air!!

Today I am popping in to share a sneak peak of a partial tag set and box that I created using a sneak peek from Our Daily Bread Designs to be released on Wednesday!!!  I just love the new and upcoming ODBD Poinsettia Die and I had a blast creating a gift box for my tags.

The poinsettia is cut out and embossed.  I used a white shimmery metallic acrylic paint to paint over the embossing so it pops more.  I also used the ODBD Fancy Foliage die, the Quatrefoil Design die, and the sneak peek of the stamp set God's Timing.

The tag is created with the Christmas Pattern ornaments stamp set, the Circle Ornaments dies, and the sneak peak of Matting Circle dies.

I hope you have enjoyed my project!! The completion of this set will be posted on Wednesday, the day of the ODBD Release.

Have a blessed weekend!! Thanks for stopping by!!

 Hello Friends!!

Today I am popping in to share the New Release at Our Daily Bread Designs!! Kelley has a lot of fun and beautiful new sets being released today.  The team will have lots of inspiration for you and there are prizes so you will want to hop to each team members blogs.

Three winners will be randomly chosen from the comments left on the designers blogs to receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the ODBD Store, to be used toward the purchase of ODBD Stamps.  You have until February 2, 2013 at 9:00 p.m. EST to make your comments!  The Winners will be posted on the ODBD Blog on February 3rd, so be sure to check back there to see if you won!

,My First creation uses the gorgeous new Ornate Heart  and Beautiful Borders Dies, Clean Heart and Be Mine.  The dp is Echo Park.  The sentiments are cut and framed with the Antique Labels and Border dies.  The border along the bottom is created with the Martha Stewart Eyelet border punch.

My second creation is a treat box I created to match.  It is created with the  Heart of Hearts, Clean Heart, Heart of Joy, and Bless your Heart stamp sets.  The heart dies are using the gorgeous Ornate Hearts dies.
The small heart toppers use sentiments and heart patterns from Heart of Joy and Be Mine.

If you are interested in creating this heart treat box, you can find a tutorial here. At the time this tutorial was written, however, these gorgeous Ornate dies were not available so Spellbinders were used.

Here is the back view of my creation:

Here are the photos of the new dies and stamps used:

Here are a few other cards that I have created as sneak peeks.  You can view more details by scrolling down on my blog.

Before moving into our new home, I had made a few heart gift boxes and shared them on my personal blog. I had several requests from my blog viewers asking for a tutorial on how to make them.  So today.....several months later....is a tutorial.

Materials:
-1 piece of 12x12 solid cardstock (mine is black)
- 2 different pieces of 6x6 designer paper (1 piece for layering on each side and 1 for the lining on the inside of the heart box)
-Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Hearts (you will need the largest classic and scalloped dies for the actual box...I used several for decorating as well)
-12x12 cutter and scorer
- 1/4" scoretape
-scissor

optional:
Bo Bunny - Home and SEI dp.
Our Daily Bread Designs- Be Joyful stamp set
 copics (Booo, Boo,  Bo1, Bo2, Bo4, YG91, YG93, G94)
 Gold Flowersoft  and Flowersoft glue

Steps:

1. For the purpose of this tutorial, I already precut 2 of the largest scalloped hearts and a 2"x9 1/2" out of the solid card stock and 4 hearts using the largest classic heart (2 from each piece of the 6x6" sheets of designer papers).

2. Score the 2 x 9 1/2" piece of cardstock and 1/4 inch from each long side.

3. Apply Scor-tape to each of the 1/4" scored edges.

4.Cut slits on the scor-tape approximately 1/4 inch apart all the way across on each side.

Since a heart can't sit on it's point, I make the box sit on it's side.

5.  Peel off the scoretape and adhere one side of the scored strip to the wrong side of the "Lining".

6.  Do the same thing with the other side of the scored rectangular strip.  The wrong side should be pointing out.
hint: This side is more tricky to line up so I begin adhering at the point of the heart starting with the middle of my strip.  You may want to peel off half of the tape at a time and adhere to the heart.

7. Adhere the decorative layer of dp to each of the scalloped card stock hearts.

8.  Adhere each of the card stock scalloped hearts to the heart "frame" you have created to complete the heart box "shell".

9. Decorate as desired.

I used Bo Bunny - Home and SEI dp.  The sentiment and image is from Our Daily Bread Designs- Be Joyful stamp set. The image was colored with copics (Booo, Boo,  Bo1, Bo2, Bo4, YG91, YG93, G94).  Gold flowersoft was added to the centers.

I hope you enjoyed my tutorial and are in some way inspired by my project.  God bless you!!

~Chris

Well I have changed gears like the rest of the retail world, from Christmas to Valentines!! LOL!  Today I have another fun Heart box to share with you using this week's Product Spotlight at Stamp and Create!!!
This week's Product Spotlight is the adorable Magnolia's!!!!  This week all Magnolia stamps will be up to 25% off.  While some stamps may be out of stock today, Lacey is getting new stock in in a day or so.

For my creation I used Tilda Sending Love Letters .  This adorable image is part of the Sweet Crazy Love Collection.  I also used Echo Park Victoria garden dp as well as May Arts Pink Silk Ribbon, the bow easyWhite Satin Edge Ruffle Lace Trim, and the little daisy spacer which are available in the Stamp and Create store.

This heart box uses the heart box tutorial written by Beate on Splitcoast.  I just love boxes and her heart box looked so beautiful, I had to give it a go. The heart shape uses the Classic Hearts and Scalloped hearts from Spellbinders.

The flowers are handmade and layered on Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and Martha Stewart leaves and twig punches.  The designer paper and the leaves are dry embossed.

Here is my take on the challenge:

This heart box uses the heart box tutorial written by Beate on Splitcoast.  I just love boxes and her heart box looked so beautiful, I had to give it a go.  I used a sentiment (which I love) from the new Mighty Ocean stamp set at Our Daily Bread Designs to be released on Feb. 1.  The dp is from Echo Park Victoria Garden.  The heart shape uses the Classic Hearts and Scalloped hearts from Spellbinders.  The flowers are recycled primas that I crunched, crinkled and layered.  The leaf flourish is from Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish. The other leaves are embossed and cut out with the Martha Stewart's Leaf punch.  The pearl beads, pearl heart pin, and lace were gifted to me by a very dear friend!!!

The inside of my box:

Heart Box Recipe:
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- sneak peek of The Mighty Ocean
Paper: Neenah White (110 lb,), Echo Park Dp
Accessories: Spellbinders Heart (Classic and Scalloped), May Arts Satin White Ribbon, Pearl hat pin, Cheery Lynn Fanciful flourish, lace, ruffled ribbon, recycled Prima flowers, Martha Stewart Twig punch, pink pearl beads
Tutorial:  heart box tutorial written by Beate on Splitcoast

In case you can't read the sentiment, this is what it says:
For as deep as the ocean,
or as wide as the sea,
so is His love given to thee.

There seems no greater love I can think of, even at Valentine's Day, than that of the Father to send His one and only Son into this world as both spirit and human to sacrifice His life on the cross for us.  Thanks be to God for this eternal gift!!

I made this box for Valentine's Day but also as a reminder for someone who will be going through a very serious stem cell transplant shortly.  I pray this uplifts her and reminds her of the Father's love!!

I am also entering this in three other challenges. The Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge #123, to make a heart stand out on your card/project which you can find here.  The verse for the challenge is:
Scripture"Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3

The second challenge is from Cheery Lynn Designs for Challenge #12, to use dry embossing and Cheery Lynn dies.  You can find the challenge here.  I dry embossed the leaves on my creation and used the Fanciful Flourish die.

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! I hope you all have had a good weekend!!  I spent most of the weekend huddled inside since it has been the coldest ever since the winter begun...7 degrees!!!  Granted we have been spoiled with mostly spring like temperatures.  But that is a tad chilly in my book.  We also got 6 inches of snow so my crazy girls played in the snow with the biggest kid of all...my husband Scott.  LOL!  He had a great time pulling the girls on the toboggan with his quad.

Today I am popping in to share a tag I made using the latest Product Spotlight at Stamp and Create: Belles n Whistles!!

This week's Product Spotlight Sale is: Belles 'n Whistles
All Belles 'n Whistles Stamps are on sale 25% off through Sunday night

The store is currently out of stock of a few designs but have a restock delivery on the way - they should be instock by Thursday. However, the following designs are on back order and will not be available for the sale: Patches 'n Braids, Sweet Apples, and Sweet Summer Days.

The sale is "while supplies lasts".

Here is my creation using  Watering from Belles n Whistles:

For my tag, I used Watering from Belles n Whistles.  The image is colored with copics.  In addition to the image, the pink (1/2 inch) wrinkled ribbonwhite silk ribbon, and love charm are also available in the Stamp and Create store.  The lace and  floweret ribbon were given to me in a RAK by my dear friend, Sabrina.  The dp and image panel is framed with the Fleur De Lis Rectangles from Spellbinders. The sentiment is computer generated and framed with the Twisted Metal tags and accentes dies from Spellbinders.  The shape of the tag uses the Spellbinders Labels Labels 8 which I embossed with a SU embossing folder. The rose button is from my stash.  The dp is from My Mind's Eye.

Did you know that Stamp and Create also has weekly candy!!

The new candy is...
