The 5th Annual Coaster Show at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery Mermaid Octopus & Betta Fish Goddess Art Original Paintings Opening + AUG Sketches, Sketch 30-31, Camellia + Calla Lily & SEP 1, 29-100 Faces...

My 4"x4" original paintings that were accepted for the The 5th Annual Coaster Show at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery are now available there!  The opening is tonight.  I will definitely not be attending the opening, I still am not feeling well, but I hope to be at the closing near the end as well as to visit at some point during the run of the show to try and get some photographs to share.  The show information is below.

Even if attending the show isn't possible, you can purchase art via the phone number below.  If you'd like to see some of the many impressive small artworks, they are avalable for viewing here:
The page may take a while to load as there are many images as well as art from a solo show by Harold Fox above the coaster art show.  All of the coasters are priced at $250 or below, mine are available at $60 each.

Here is a sketch of a big eyed maiden.  Her eyes are gently closed.  I think she is most likely an angel fairy, although she could also be a mermaid or a goddess.  I'm unsure if I'll paint her or not, but I did enjoy sketching her.

I've decided to try and do a sketch a day in September. This is day 1.

I am also participating in the September 29 Faces Challenge! The goal is to share 29 faces in the month of September. To learn more about the challenge, please click here: http://29faces.blogspot.com/.

Big Eye Balinese Siamese Cat Kitten Art Prints & ACEO Prints! Art Sketches of Big Eye Angel Fairies & Flowers, August 23-29 Daily Sketch...

I'm so thrilled to be back in town, but I'm a bit under the weather, I will try to post when I can, but it may be a bit before I'm back to my usual schedule...

"Make Time to Cuddle" Original 5"x7" Painting Sold, Art Prints & LE ACEO Prints Here.

Usually I share an available original piece on Tuesday, but although the original big eye cat painting has sold, this Siamese Balinese kitten just felt like visiting...

Most of my art is also available on my website at lisarusso.com; however, on the first Tuesday of the month, I like to put some art prints and LE ACEO prints on ebay at a lower promotional rate for the duration of the auctions...  This month, my theme is flowers and includes a selection of some of my white flower art; you may see them here.

However, this time the auctions will go dark before the next 1st Tuesday, so I'm listing this one as a bonus sale print and LE ACEO...  There will hopefully be additional art available as open edition giclee art and LE ACEO prints next Tuesday.

Bonus Featured Image "Make Time to Cuddle"
5"x7" Open Edition print on Sale here
ACEO 2.5"x3.5" Limited Edition LE 1st of 25 on Sale here

My Photograph of a Magnolia Flower + Sketch of a Big Eye Fairy, a Camellia, & a Bunny Rabbit/ Art Sketches Daily/ May 8, 9, & 10

I took this photograph of this magnolia flower at Alex's old place.  Before they trimmed them, the boughs dipped very low and I was able to get close shots of some of these gorgeous flowers.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!

I love to paint flowers, you may see some of my finished paintings at lisarusso.com if you'd like.

Here is a sketch of a camellia.  Some camellia flowers are more elaborate than others.  This time I selected one that I felt had a simple elegance to sketch.  I'm unsure if I'll paint it or not, but I did enjoy sketching it.

Sketchbook West Las Laguna Gallery Show Featured Painting + Sketch of Camellia Flower, March 31 Art Sketches Daily...

My Wednesday Addams inspired painting "Full of Woe" was selected to be featured at the Sketchbook West Las Laguna Gallery Show.  Here she is all framed and ready to go!

She has a corresponding sketch in my tiny sketchbook that measures 3.5x5.5 inches.  I've shared some of the sketches that are within here, but some will be available for viewing for the first time at the show.  The sketchbook will be displayed at the Sketchbook West Exhibition along with the sketchbooks of additional artists.  There will be a mix of fantasy, floral, animal, and assorted sketches within my sketchbook.  The gallery will have white gloves available for looking through the sketchbooks.  I'm hoping to be at the opening, but I will also update at what time I will be there when I have a better idea of when that will be.  I very much enjoy looking at artist's sketches, so I am looking forward to seeing the show!

My Photograph of a Pink Camellia Flower at Descanso Gardens...

I took this photograph of a pink camellia flower at Descanso Gardens a while back, but it's definitely camellia season there right now.  There's such a range of beauty in camellias, so many variations in looks... I loved this one especially, it has such a soft pink hue.  I hope that you will enjoy this photo!
