One of the coolest things that happened while we were there was finding Nathaniel Ashby's home. He's the kiddos' 4th great grandfather. The craziest thing is that the sister missionary who was our tour guide is the one staying in the Ashby home, so she took us to the house and let us tour inside.

Historic Nauvoo
We learned a lot about life in the 1840s in the Midwest. The kiddos loved learning how to make horse shoes, bricks, barrels, rope, and candles. Joel loved going to the homes of the apostles. Our wagon ride took us down along the banks of the Mississippi.
