'thankful' a new layout for AB Studios

Hello crafty friends! I hope everyone is doing well!

I am back to share a new layout I created the week of Thanksgiving with the wonderful
AB Studios paper collection called 'Rustical Journey'.

'thankful'

To me there aren't any scrapbooking papers around that can touch the vintage beauty of AB Studios. This collection 'Rustical Journey' has beautiful images of doilies and flowers, very pretty and so unique. I started with the sheet called 'Start your Journey', and then layered on some tags, watercolors, a few charms and ribbons, and some Prima flowers.
I also used an AB Studios stencil and  two AB Studios stamps.

The link to the AB Studios shop is here: https://shop.agabaraniak.com/en/

Here are a few details:

I found this vintage photograph in my stash and I sat staring at this old house thinking about how important our homes are to each of us; it's where we live, grow, and make memories that last a lifetime. We just moved from our town we lived in for 14 years and the change was hard for me. But on the bright side we now live in Florida, very close to the ocean which I am still pinching myself over! The landscape is so beautiful - the tallest trees I've ever seen, swaying with Spanish moss, and the huge wondrous sky lights up in pinks and oranges most nights. I can't wait to explore my new surroundings...this is a dream come true! I found the words 'I am thankful' on one of the papers from this collection and it is exactly what I'm feeling these days. Hoping that everyone has family and friends to share the holidays with and can feel grateful for all of our blessings, even through these difficult times.

A wonderful day

Warm greetings my lovely friends!

As soon as I saw the large vibrant bursting with color roses in the collection called 'Never Never Land' I knew I would create a page flowing with reds and pinks.  I added a vintage photograph in a little adorable frame that I cut from the paper called 'Craftland'.

'a wonderful day'

I created a watercolor background, and used heavy white gesso with a AB Studios flower stencil to add texture, then created a bouquet of roses in a circle.

There have been several brand new collections released - so pretty! There's even a Christmas collection too. You can check out the AB Studios shop https://shop.agabaraniak.com/en/scrapbooking-papers/never-never-land.

I've had so much fun going back to creating my pages - I absolutely adore this collection.

Thanks for looking, see you soon,

'love for old things' my first layout for my brand new design team....AB Studios!

Hello dear readers!

I am so delighted to be a designer for the new A B Studios design team! I have long admired Aga's beautiful watercolor flowers....also so many other beautiful products for mixed media art. Wonderful chipboards, stencils and stamps. What a joy to receive a big box of supplies :)

So I am back to share a layout I created recently, with the absolutely beautiful papers from AB Studios. This collection is called 'Love for Old Things'....sounds perfect for me because I feel so inspired by anything vintage and I was really missing creating mixed media art!

'Love for Old Things'

I began with the paper Sheet No. 5 'Pure Vintage' and added lot of gesso with a doily stencil,
some Lindy's Spray's and layered some pretty ornate frames that I painted white and then rubbed with some gold wax. I added some bits of vintage jewelry, and lastly some transparent foil butterflies that I cut out and have fluttering up the page.

You can find AB Studios products here at the shop : https://shop.agabaraniak.com/en/

There has just been a new release of some new paper collections, so be sure to go have a peek:)

Some close ups:

So grateful to Aga for inviting me to be on her design team! What a sweet and talented lady she is....
Well, I have some new collections to play with so I will share some more projects soon...

'Vera'

Good morning girls....I have another layout to share today that I designed
for the Russian blog Studio Leto.

'Vera'

I won a challenge on this beautiful blog a while back and they invited me be to be a Guest Designer.
They have a wonderful challenge with the theme 'Adults and Children'.
You can see my feature here.

As a designer at Scraps of Elegance, I also purchase the Scraps of Darkness kit every month, as it's always full of such beautiful papers, flowers and embellishments. I created this layout with the May kit called 'Soulshine' which had the latest Blue Fern Studios collection 'Tranquillity'. Words can't describe how much I love the beautiful vintage look of this collection!  I'm really in my element
with these gorgeous rich designs. So perfect for scrapping precious family photos.
You can find this kit and these papers in the online Scraps of Darkness store here.

Here are a few close ups:

I used a few little goodies that my crafty bestie sent me on this layout, some pretty lace
and also a few paper clay buttons that I colored with my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in
purple and black....I think I'm going to have to try these out myself!
Thank you so much Lady J :)

I also added a few pieces of my favourite 2 Crafty Chipboard called 'Leafy Shrub Set'.

A big warm welcome to all my new blog followers...Thank you so much for your interest!
I'm so glad you're here! Feel free to leave me any comments or questions, I'd love to hear from you...

I grabbed my Prima 'French Riviera' collection and went to town :)

Please check out this challenge here on the blog called 'Skrapovy World'.

for a beach themed layout.

a piece of my favourite 2 Crafty Chipboard called 'Fine Leafy Bush', some seashells,
and some pretty Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays in :

'live your dreams'

Hello my crafty girls, I am dropping in to share my very first layout made with
the February Scraps of Elegance kit called 'Garden Gala'.

'live your dreams'

I had my eye on the most beautiful mood board I saw over at Scrap Africa that I really wanted to join in, and when I saw these beautiful papers by Bella, called 'Memory Lane' in this month's kit I instantly knew what I wanted to do. I used one side as the base and then the same paper but the other side for all the little pieces of vintage papers that I used on my layout. I loved the look of old peeling paper in the mood board, so I took a plain brown paper bag ripped it up into pieces and then sewed it down on to my base paper which I had also torn up and glued down over some striped paper. I found this perfect vintage photograph of my Grandma and my Aunt.....
and I love how it turned out :) So grungy but pretty at the same time.

Here is mood board:

To look at all the gorgeous projects made with this, please go here.

This month's kit is already sold out, but you can subscribe to our monthly kits
and never miss out again! To find out more, please go here.
And don't forget to check out the blog too! Find it here.

From this month's kit I used the Bella papers, the Blue Fern Studios stamp,
the prettiest Liquid Pearls in 'Rose Gold' (LOVE this, I've never had these before,
and I love the way they look!), and the Ranger Ink pad in 'Tea Stain'.

See you soon, Lisa xo

'Happiness....'

'...was when I was a child."

Hello girls! I was so pleased to be invited as a Guest Designer over on the blog 'Scrap Kafe International',
where they have a new challenge that's very interesting....
using white and the word 'happiness',
which really had me thinking about how to scrap these two elements.

For more details about this challenge please go here.

Here are a few close ups...

For me, my inspiration starting point is always the photograph I choose to scrap. From there I pull the theme, the colors and the mood I'm trying to create. I found this one in the box I keep handy of photos I've printed for my pages and for some reason it reminded me of growing up in Ontario.
Even though we lived in the city, I have so many memories of the outdoors...camping, hiking, the raw beauty of nature....and this photo reminded me of happy times as a kid playing in the snow :)

I found a challenge that asked what do we want most this winter?
And my answer is....snow!!! I would love to see everything sparkling white for a few days...
and my 9 year old boy has only seen snow a handful of times in his whole life!
I found it on a blog called 'Memuaris'.

For more details on this challenge, please go here.

I used a lot of watercolors and stamping in my background and then added some
twigs and some moss from the craft store.

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you feel some inspiration and reflect on some happiness in your life :)
Lisa xo
