'Grateful Heart'

Hello dear readers, are the leaves turning fiery colors where you are?
I love this time of year so much...
I've been delving into the warm colors of fall with my layouts done
with the 'Falling Leaves' kit from Scraps of Elegance.

'Grateful Heart'

Don't these guys look dapper? Loving these vintage photos I found...perfect for these beautiful
Blue Fern Studios papers. I am totally in love with this paper and how it looks like old
peeling wallpaper, papers like this make me so happy :)

I started with a very messy background using watercolors and stamping, then layered on
some leaves, flowers, the chipboard from this same collection and lots of beads.
I hope you like it:)

You can purchase our kits and lots more scrap products in our online
store here, and don't forget to check out our blog here for
lots of ideas on how to play with our kits.

I would like to enter my page in the challenge 'Cozy Autumn'
on the beautiful blog 'Bee Shabby', please check out the challenge here.

gesso, then I added some 13 arts Pigment Powder in 'Copper' then I layered
on some 13 arts Gold glitter.

'Autumn'

Good morning dear readers, I had so much fun creating this new page with
the kit 'Falling Leaves' from Scraps of Elegance, this time something
light and pretty with a touch of vintage.

'Autumn'

I had a best friend once named Autumn when I lived in South Beach, many years ago.
She was a beautiful girl that worked for a make up company
and would give me mini make overs.... we got into a lot of trouble, the two of us :)
This page turned out so light and airy, I used papers from the Blue Fern Studios
'Amber & Apricot' collection in the Main Kit, some Prima ephemera from the
Elements Add On, and some Prima flowers from the Floral Add On.

You can purchase our kits from the online store here.

I would like to enter my layout in a sketch challenge I found on a blog
called '1000 Moments', it was a simple sketch, but I liked the design.
More details on the challenge here.

I added a few pieces of 2 Crafty Chipboard, here it's a vine wreath painted gold.

Thanks for stopping by,
Lisa xo

'Love, Ruth'

Hi girls, I have been digging into the September Scraps of Elegance kit
called 'Falling Leaves' and have created some fall inspired pages full of
rich warm reds and oranges.

'Love, Ruth'

This Blue Fern Studios collection called 'Amber & Apricot' is so gorgeous! I love the
beautiful vintage patterns and the colors are so pretty.  I started with the paper 'Busy Bees'
and then created my background with a 13 arts stencil and some Lindy's Stamp Gang
mists. As I knew I wanted to create a really autumn inspired look ,I picked up some twigs
and some pieces of bark from my back yard and added them underneath my photo,
I love how it looks! My natural elements really play off the beautiful silk leaves
that came with this kit.

Our kits sell out so quick! The best way to make sure you don't miss out
is to become a subscriber, more information here.

I would like to enter a task about autumn  that I found on the beautiful blog
'Happy Bunny', you can find more info about the challenge here.

I used so much from this amazing kit and the Elements and Floral Add Ons:

'I believe in fairytales...'

Good evening my crafty friends.
I want to share another layout made with the Scraps of Elegance
kit 'Country Chic' using lots of 49 & Market papers and embellishments.

'I believe in fairytales...'

I loooove dark, dramatic paper so much, it always makes everything you add to a page stand out so brilliantly! I created one of my signature ultra messy backgrounds with gesso and watercolors, and then added some torn up 49 & Market papers, a butterfly from one of the Tim Holtz ephemera
packs from a previous kit and then lots of flowers and bits and pieces from the 49 & Market
layered embellishment pack. I love how this page turned out; romantic, chaotic and dreamy.

Here are a few close ups:

The main kit included a pretty pack of natural cotton laces that I tore up and added
under my photo, one of my favourite embellishments to use, I thought it somehow tied in
with the beautiful gown the young girl in the photograph is wearing.

I finally found this Dusty Attic stencil that I had been searching for for a very long time,
I love the whimsy and the movement it gives my page. I also used the Lindy's Stamp
Gang blue glitter from the main kit, although I can never quite capture in my
photos just how much sparkle it adds!

I really enjoyed this kit so much!
If you would like to find out how to becomes a monthly subscriber,
please go here, and don't forget to check out our blog here.

I also added a few of the paper clay pieces I made with this month's
Creativity Add On, I left them white with just a splash of watercolor
but I imagine there are so many ways to alter these pieces.
Here I used one of the keyhole molds by Prima.

Thanks for looking, and all your sweet comments,
I hope my crazy pages inspire you somehow!
Big hugs, Lisa xoxox

'My happy place...'

Hello dear readers.....we here in the South are DEEP into the hottest,
stickiest most sun-drenched summer I can remember, and my latest layout
is really a reflection of the beauty and taste of the ocean, the best place to be
to enjoy the sun.

'My happy place...'

I love this BoBunny paper from the 'Serendipity' collection and the wood pattern and natural
tones gave me the idea to do a beachy page. I used a chipboard circle from Blue Fern Studios
that I bought from the online Scraps of Darkness store, and also added one from my stash,
a 2 Crafty title that fit my page great.
I also used the Gabrielle Pollaco stamp, the Tim Holtz blue distress ink pad,
the blue gems, the tiny brown bottle and some blue 49 & Market flowers,
all from the June Main kit and the various add ons.

You can purchase our monthly kits here,
and don't forget to checkout our blog here.

I would like to enter my layout in a challenge about sunny holidays that I found
on the blog 'Create Dreams'. I was inspired by the girls on the beach, the light
airy colors and the holiday mood.

Here is the moodboard:

'Always Follow your Dreams...'

Hello my sweet crafty friends. I have another layout to share that I made using
the 'Birds of a Feather' kit from Scraps of Elegance using the BoBunny
collection called 'Serendipity'.

'Always follow your dreams...'

I cut out the two blue birds from one of the kit papers and glued them down the sides,
I adore anything with birds as that's Liam's nick name he's had since he was this small :)
I added some heavy white gesso and some watercolors and then added a clock
chipboard and a sweet title from 2 Crafty, some BoBunny die cuts and chipboards
from the Main kit, and some flowers from one of our previous kits.

You can find our kits and many more crafty supplies at the
Scraps of Darkness online store here.

'mum'

Hello friends, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far?
I get to stay at home with the little man today and I am hoping he lets me get crafty
for just a little bit. I am here to share another page created with the
May kit from Scraps of Elegance called 'Mix'd Media.

'mum'

I figure there's two ways to go with these gorgeous Blue Fern Studios papers; either
go light and let the papers themselves really shine, just like I did on my last page with
this kit, or to go really bold and crazy with the inks, which is what I did here :).
This page was looking really dull and I wasn't happy with it at all, and it
almost landed in the trash, but I decided to go nuts with some inks and get
colorful by adding lots of 'Vintage Photo'  ink to the background and then I added
some watercolors in teal and green to add another dimension, and in the end, I loved it.
So if you're ever in the same boat, just think: what have you got to lose? Try going bold
with some different colors and you just might be surprised :)

To find our kits online please go here,
and don't forget to check out our blog here, we have so much inspiration
for you to see how we used our amazing kits.

Here are a few details:

I used the Kaisercraft stencil and the textured sand paste on my background
and it turned out so pretty, especially if you rub a little white gesso over
it with your fingers, it really brings out the pattern of the stenciling.

I also used the Blue Fern Studios chipboard that came with the kit,
and I added a few more pieces from my stash.
And what's a vintage layout without flowers?! I also used some pretty
Prima blooms from the Floral add On.

See you soon,
Lisa xo
