'Pure Joy'

Good evening my crafty ladies!
We just found out the Scrapki Wyzwaniowo challenge blog
has decided to close; and it's sad news.... I love love LOVE
7 Dots Studio papers, they're my 'go to' brand that really fits my style,
but after 7 years of creating wonderful challenges, it's understandable.
Our theme this last month is JOY!

'Pure Joy'

I created this page with the Yuletide collection papers and stickers, I even found
a little joy tag to use as my title. This page got a little out of hand with the
messy background (I guess that's kind of my signature look lol),
but I really enjoyed making it!
Won't you joins us this last time? We are all busy making plans to enjoy
the happiest time of the year with our families and friends.... I hope
you find time to capture a little bit of what makes you joyful and share it
with us, as we bid adieu to all the wonderful people at Scrapki Wyzwaniowo.

To see our designers works and to find out how to join visit here.

I would like to participate in a challenge I found on a blog called
Art UP! called 'Happy Winter', you can find it here.
I was inspired by the red colors and also the theme,
nothing makes me happier than my boy;
especially this this time of year when
children make Christmas seem magical.

Here are a few close ups:

Today is my holiday baking day with my family,
I love making lots of iced cookies for my family and friends....

Hugs always,

'12' a new page for Scrapki Wyzwaniowo

Good morning dear readers....we have a brand new challenge for you this
month over at Scrapki Wyzwaniowo! This month it's all about creating something
with a monochrome look.

'12'

So....as you can tell from my title my boy has hit 12 and although he still can be
sweet to his mama, we're going through some tough times and it's making me think a lot
about how he needs some stricter rules and some coaching on taking on
the responsibilities of a becoming a young man.
I've found myself a little bluesy over realizing that with him growing up,
it also means him pulling away from us as parents and that's been tricky for me too.
I bet there's a lot of moms out there than can relate :)
This photo was from our last vacation where we saw his 'moody' side,
but I love how my page turned out just the same :)

I hope you feel inspired (or challenged like I did) to use only one color!

To find out more about our challenge, please go here.

Here are a few details:

I used some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays on my background, some 7 Dots Studio
papers from the 'Yuletide' collection, lots of Prima flowers, a few Tim Holtz silver metal
butterflies and some Dusty Attic chipboards painted white.

I also added some pieces of ripped up jeans, and it added some dark contrast
to the whole page...I had an idea that I am going to make a junk journal about my
son using denim.....I've been wanting to make one for so long, I think I finally
found the inspiration to start one.

Thanks for looking!

'Delight' for Scrapki Wyzwaniowo

Hello friends!
Although it's still sweltering hot down here in the south, I can hardly wait for fall;
cool breezes, the crispness of autumn and the changing colors on the trees.
That's what I felt inspired by to create this page for
Scrapki Wyzwaniowo this month and our new theme - leaves!

'Delight'

I've scrapped this photo before but I couldn't help using it again, it's one of my
favorites, the colors just make me so happy! I used some 7 Dots Studio paper
from the 'Dreamscapes' collection, together with some fall fabric
leaves I bought at Michael's and some Dusty Attic chipboards that I won
from More than Words .

Here is our challenge:

For more info on how to enter, please go here.

I would like to enter my layout in the October challenge at Dusty Attic:

I was inspired by the autumn mood and the orange red and yellow leaves.
I used Dusty Word Pack 32 and Dusty Attic Leafy Frame Set.

'Back to School' for Skrapki Wyzwaniowo

Hello lovely readers! We have a wonderful new challenge for
you over at Scrapki Wyzwaniowo, so perfect for this time of year...
Back to School!

'Book worm'

These photos are from a few years ago, but they're cute as all get out, and I love how
I could play with the color red, something I never really do!
Grab some photos of your little ones first day or even a 'vintage' photo
of one of your own first days and come and play with us!

I used the 'Air Mail' 7 Dots Studio collection (again!) and it just really fit the theme.
I always slather on some heavy white gesso and then splash some watercolors on my
background before decorating. I went rummaging through my stash and found an
old sheet of Prima chipboard with a school theme that I've had for years!
(Don't throw out old good scrap embellishments - you never know when
you will feel inspired to use them!) And I also found an vintage Cracker Jack
box (remember that candy with the prize inside?) and it added a cool look.

For more info on how to enter, please go here.

Here are a few close ups:

I used the 'Air Mail' collection stamp set and also the stencils in the background,
then added some thread, buttons and some pieces of old jeans, and to my
amazement, no flowers!

Thanks for looking,
Hugs, Lisa xo

'So sweet'

Good morning my lovely readers!
Summer is the time to spend time with our kids, handing out, enjoying the sunshine,
and hopefully enjoying some holidays! Our new theme at Scrapki Wyzwaniowo is 'Fruit'....
so perfect for the best season to enjoy sweet fresh treats straight from the garden,
let's scrap these memories!

'So Sweet'

The paper 'Hand Written' from the 7 Dots Studio collection 'Air Mail' was the perfect
backdrop for some photos of my guy enjoying watermelon...
I used an 'Air Mail' stencil with heavy white modeling paste in the background,
and then added some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, some Prima wood letters and
a few 49 & Market flowers.

Here is our challenge this month:

For more info on how to enter, please go here.
You could win one of the new collections!

'Shine' a new layout for Scrapki Wyzwaniowo

Hello friends!
I'm back to share the layout I designed with our July theme at Scrapki Wyzwaniowo, the sun!
I hope everyone is enjoying summer so far, here in the South we are in full swing,
and we're spending lots of time in the pool to cool off.

'Shine'

I was so thrlled to receive my DT package from Tusia, filled with two new 7 Dots Studio
collections, 'Air Mail' and 'Garden Party'. For this page I used the papers
from the 'Garden Party' and I ripped up a few of them and glued some strips down the
middle of my page, and then I cut out a lot of butterflies from one of the papers and
colored then with watercolors. I also used a stencil from the 'Air Mail' collection on
my background with some black gesso and also the stamps from the 'Garden Party'.
You can check out the new collections here.

Here is this month's theme...

I hope to see you join in, there's always great prizes of the new collections!
More info on how to enter here.

Here are a few close ups:

I also used a large ornate frame and some oversized letters from 2 Crafty Chipboard,
and painted them with black watercolor paint.

Thanks for looking, see you soon,

'Bees' for Scrapki Wyzwaniowo

Hello crafty friends! I'm back with a pair of tags that I made
for Scrapki Wyzaniowo and their challenge this month...bees!

'Winged Things'

I started with some thick watercolor paper that I cut the tags from and then covered it
roughly in vintage dress pattern paper pieces, lots of white heavy gesso, and then from there
added some washi tape, stamping and some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays in 'Tea Pot Purple'
and 'Bayou Boogie Gold'. The background paper is 'Figgy Pudding' from the 7 Dots Studio
collection, 'Yuletide'.

Here is our challenge:

We would love to see join in! There are always wonderful prizes
of 7 Dots Studio collections to be won, more info on how to enter here.

Here are a few close ups:

I just recently received my design team package filled with the brand new 7 Dots Studio

'Treasure' a new layout for my new team!

Hello my crafty friends!
If you follow my blog at all you'll already know how much I love 7 Dots
Studio papers, they inspire me very much and that's why I was
so happy to be chosen for the new Scrapki Wyzwaniowo team!
It's a wonderful challenge blog that is owned by Tusia Lech and sponsored
by her very own 7 Dots Studio.

'Treasure'

What a wild page! This one kind of took on a life of it's own,
so I just went with it :). I started with some of the coolest papers ever from
the 7 Dots Studio 'Writer's Block' collection using one called 'Epilogue' and
some tags, and then I added some twine, some bits of lace, and an old
Prima vine of flowers.

The challenge this month is all about 'Gardening',
and you can interpret this theme however you like.
You can find more about the challenge and see the designers
first reveal here.
And you can check out the brand new Design Team here.

Here are a few close ups:

I took this photo of my boy one summer when we, along with our neighbours created
a community garden plot where we planted tomatoes, beans, carrots and a whole
lot of other vegetables. It was so fun to teach him how things grow and how you have
to nurture the plants, and I think he really enjoyed helping us harvest
our little crop:)

I used some of my favourite Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays on my background,
and also some 2 Crafty Chipboardthe title, some leaves, and a piece of lattice.
I also created thee little gold tags by glueing down some old book paper,
and then stamping some leaves in black.

I had so much fun creating this, and I hope you join our challenge, always some
7 Dots Studio paper packs to be won!

See you soon,
Lisa xo
