....'my journey'....

Hello my crafty friends!
So I've been feeling quite stuck lately as I find myself in the new year
being on only one Design Team. Without project requirements using certain materials,
I'm feeling about lost about what I want to create. I knew I wanted to make a simple
but textured page with some hope of this coming year being a positive and creative one!
I reached for some old 13 arts materials that I had left over, and the urge hit me to
create something in yellow.... a happy and hopeful color.

'my journey'

I started with clear gesso all over the page, did some stenciling and then added some yellow
and black watercolors. I layered up some papers from the collection 'Aria Story'
and some 13arts transparent stickers.

A few close ups:

I've also started a course to learn how to make my own art journal from scratch and
so I'm excited to see where this new adventure takes me....what about you?
What are your crafty plans for 2019?
Thanks for looking,
Lisa xo

'Remember' a new layout for Mixed Media & Art

Hello dear readers, today I want to share a page I created for
Mixed Media & Art.

'Remember'

I was inspired by the feathers and the shells and of course the beautiful colors in
our mood board, and I immediately thought of some beach treasures I
had collected on our recent family vacation to Florida. I wanted to make the
feathers the focal point of my page, and the tiny seashells I found on my early morning
sunrise drenched walks fit the mood perfectly.
I used some 13arts papers from the 'Strength in Numbers' collection,
and lots of watercolors on my background.

Here is the wonderful moodboard:

To find out more on the challenge please go here.
I can't recommend this blog enough! Every single designer
is so so so talented and the all the entries each month make
it so hard to choose a winner! I adore each and every moodboard
and challenge, so inspiring....

I found a wonderful sketch challenge on a beautiful blog called Zagadka Sketches
that I would like to enter with my beachy layout, more info on this challenge here.

Here are a few close ups:

I sprinkled some gold beads and gold microspheres to add some sparkle.
I also used some 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces, that I painted white and
then painted with watercolors.

In addition to the most beautiful moodboards imaginable, Mixed Media & Art
have begun a new joint project called 'Creative Art'. It will have 4 stages
and different requirements all done in a Mixed Media style,
you can visit the blog here for more information....
Absolutely breath-taking work from the designers!
I count my lucky stars to be a part of this team :)

I hope I have inspired you to join us this month!

'Vintage Love' my new challenge at 13 arts

Hello dear readers...I'm back to share a new layout designed for the new challenge I am
hosting over at 13 arts, called 'Vintage Love', inspired by Olga's latest collection called
'Vintage Moments'.

'My heart lives here....'

I used the paper 'Old Letters' as my base, and then fussy cut some clocks and leaves from the
paper called 'In the Past'. I used the stencil 'Vintage Words' from the same collection with
some white modeling paste and some Ayeeda mists to create my background.

Here is my new moodboard, I hope you like it!

You can find out how to enter on our blog here.
All the 13 arts products I used can be found in the online store here.

Here are a few close ups:

I hope to see you join in the challenge!
To all my American friends, be safe! I am praying for all of you affected
by the hurricanes, we are at home today with some rain showers,
but a little nervous about what still may come....
Hugs, Lisa xo

'Believe'

Hello girls, I'm back to share another layout I created with the Scraps of Elegance kit
'Christmas Cheer' in green and gold.

'Believe'

Lots of beautiful Blue Fern Studios papers in this kit, I love how thick their papers are,
it can take a lot of mixed media and still hold up great. There are a lot of yummy layers to
this page with some ripped papers, chipboards that I embossed in gold
and some of the cotton lace that came in the kit.

To find out how to purchase our kits, please go here.
And don't forget to check out our blog here, to see how the designers create
with each kit.

I would like to enter my page in a challenge called 'Silver & Gold'
on the blog 'Evolution Scrap'. I was inspired by all the gold glitter,
the festive wreath, and the wood pieces in the moodboard, so I added some pine cones,
a little piece of tree, and a few little pieces of moss.

More on this challenge here.

This is a 13 arts chipboard title that I covered in gold glitter.
It's such a pity that I can't seem to get my photos to reflect how sparkly
this page is, there's a lot of shimmering gold ink, glitter, and little bits
of some Christmas decorations all tucked in there.

I treated myself to some of those Prima Memory Hardware pearls that come in a tin in the prettiest colors, aren't they gorgeous? A perfect touch together with my favourite part of this kit,
the tiny jingle bells.

Thanks for looking!
Stay warm,
Lisa xo

'Magic' a new canvas for 13 arts

Hello my lovely friends...I'm back to share with you a canvas I made for 13 arts
inspired by the amazing new moodboard designed by our Natalya Loi.

'Magic'

As I was staring at Natalya's fun glittery photos I saw this canvas in my mind, with a
deep black background and some pink glittery hearts, and this is what happened.
I messily spread some 13 arts black gesso on a small canvas, then used some 13 arts modeling
paste through a few stencils, and then added some beautiful 13 arts inks in pink and gold.

Here is our new challenge...

More on the challenge here, I hope you join in the fun!
There is always a great prize to be won!
Also...did you see the 13 arts Design Team callout?
You can see more info on that post here.

Here are some closies:

I altered a pretty 2 Crafty Chipboard heart piece and a snowflake by applying
some 13 arts Pink Metallic paint, and then sprinkled on some 13 arts Pink Glitter,
love how it turned out.

Thanks for looking,
Lisa xo
