Usually the bands that tend to follow antisocial Black Metal, are aweseome. Especially, if they originate from Cascadia then we reach a new level. Gedden is a Metal hero that gives everything he has to this wonderful album Every song – light to the penumbra of Leviathan.

Echtra ονομάζεται το solo-project του ομώνυμου Αμερικανού μουσικού. Παλέμαχος του cascadian είδους, υπήρξε μέλος των θρυλικών Threnos και συμμετέχει επίσης στα εξαιρετικά σχήματα Fauna και Sadhaka. Αυτό είναι ο καινούριος του δίσκος και μπορείτε να κατεβάσετε τις υπόλοιπες κυκλοφορίες του από το bandcamp του project.

Echtra is a solo-project of the american musician who goes by with the same name. He has been around since the first days of the cascadian genre as an ex-member of the legendary Threnos and as a current member of the great bands Fauna and Sadhaka. This is his latest album and you can download his former releases from the project's bandcamp.

Πριν αρχίσω να γράφω το οτιδήποτε για τον δίσκο ,πρέπει να πούμε ότι σε τούτο εδώ το blog είμαστε οπαδοί αυτού που ονομάζεται Cascadian Black Metal.Οπότε μην περιμένετε χλιαρές αντιδράσεις. Λοιπόν ,έχουμε και λέμε: o δίσκος απλά ΓΑΜΑΕΙ! Οι τύποι και σ΄ αυτόν τον δίσκο παίζουν τις κάλτσες τους .Σαρωτικές συνθέσεις που δίνουν στο Black Metal ένα μοντέρνο ήχο ακόμα και αν αυτό το θηρίο βγήκε από την πιο παρθένα σπηλιά της Cascadia . Συνθέσεις σαν το Dirge/Purgation έχουν  μια Doom-ίζουσα σύμπραξη που φανερώνει παράστημα πολλών κυβικών. Το Oblivion’Spring δείχνει το δρόμο για το πώς παίζεται το <<music occultism>>.Αν και στα EP’s δεν  δίνεται η πρέπουσα σημασία από το ευρύ κοινό, εδώ πρέπει να δοθεί έμφαση γιατί μιλάμε για  θησαυρό. Απολαύστε υπεύθυνα γιατί το έργο είναι ακατάλληλο για ‘’κάφρους’’ .Αλλά για φιλόμουσα αυτιά .Οι περίεργοι δεν θα κακοπέσουν. Και λίγα είπα...

Before i start to write anything, we have to say that this blog loves Cascadian Black Metal. So yes we might not be too objective. This album kicks ass! Massive compositions that give Black Metal a modern sound even if this beast came out from the virgin caves of Cascadia. Songs like Dirge/Purgation have a doom-like touch that reveals that these guys know what they are doing. Oblivion's Spring shows how "music occultism" is properly performed. Although eps dont get the right amount of attention from the fans, this ons should because its a treasure. Enjoy responsibly cause this one ain't for everyone. This is Art. And i didn't say enough...

Οι Sadhaka είναι μια τετραμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2012 και αυτή είναι η πρώτη της κυκλοφορία. Στη μπάντα συμμετέχουν μέλη από τις μπάντες Fauna, Mollehoj και Vradizei οπότε μπορούμε να πούμε μάλλον με ασφάλεια ότι είναι από τη δική μας πλευρά.

Sdhaka is a four-piece act, formed in 2012 and this their first release. The band is a side project of members of Fauna, Mollehoj and Vradizei so we could  say they are on our side.

Οι Alda είναι μια τετραμελής μπάντα που σχηματίστηκε το 2007 και έχει κυκλοφορήσει ακόμα ένα demo το 2009 και ένα album τον ίδιο χρόνο. Όμορφο μελωδικό και ατμοσφαιρικό cascadian bm που στιχουργικά κινείται σε θέματα σχετικά με τη φύση και την κοσμική ύλη. Από τις καλύτερες και πιο ελπιδοφόρες μπάντες του ιδιώματος, προτείνεται ιδιαίτερα στους fans των WITTR και Skagos.

υ.γ. Το επόμενο διάστημα θα προσπαθήσω να ολοκληρώσω κάποιες δισκογραφίες συγκροτημάτων που εμφανίζονται στο blog ,οπότε αν έχετε κάποια προτίμηση μη διστάσετε να το πείτε.

Alda is a four-piece act formed in 2007 and has also released a demo and a full-length album in 2009. Beautiful, melodic and atmospheric cascadian bm with lyrics about nature and the cosmic matter. One of the best and most promising bands of this genre, highly recommented for the fans of WITTR and Skagos.

Πρόκειται για το solo project του Αμερικανού μουσικού Gedden Cascadia. Αυτό είναι ο πρώτος του δίσκος και κυκλοφόρησε ακόμα έναν πριν μερικές βδομάδες τον οποίον θα ανεβάσω σύντομα. Ο Gedden εκφράζει μέσα από τη μουσική του και τη ζωή του μια φιλοσοφία με κέντρο τη φύση και αν καταλαβαίνω καλά αυτά που γράφει στο site του γέρνει προς τη δική μας μεριά. Wild's Reprisal is the solo project of the american musician Gedden Cascadia, This is his first album and he ahs released another one this month, which i will upload soon. Gedden expresses aan ecocentric philosophy through his music and his life and if i understand right what he posts in his personal website he is on our side, Atmospheric melody and lyrics based on the theoretical writers of the "deep ecology" movements.

Οι Harrow είναι ένα black metal δίδυμο που αποτελείται από τους Ian Campbell και Kyle Brickell. Η μπάντα μετονομάστηκε από Wraith σε Harrow το 2011 και ενώ μετρούσε ήδη δύο χρόνια ζωής. Έχει κυκλοφορήσει επίσης ένα demo και ένα full-length album το 2011.

Οι Walden αποτελούνται από τους Festus και Jacob Moyer και σχηματίστηκαν το Μάιο του 2010. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει αρκετά eps και demos και το 2011 δύο full-length albums.

Harrow is a black metal duo formed by Ian Campbell and Kyle Brickell. The band was renamed to Harrow from Wraith in 2011, while the project was already 2 years old. They have also produced a demo and a full-length album in 2011.

Fauna ονομάζεται το project που ξεκίνησαν το 2005, οι Vines και Echtra μετά τη διάλυση των Threnos. Έχουν κυκλοφορήσει 2 albums με πρώτο αυτό. Ο κάθε δίσκος αποτελείται από ένα τραγούδι διάρκειας μιας ώρας(!) σε ατμοσφαιρικό, ambient black metal στυλ σε συνδυασμό με φυσικούς ήχους.

Η μπάντα ονομάζει τα τραγούδια της "τελετές", γιαυτό και η μεγάλη διάρκεια και η κλιμακούμενη ένταση. Εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσα μπάντα με μέλη με περγαμηνές.
