First Twisted Easel Card!

Well, I've seen everyone else having a go at these twisted easel cards, so I thought I'd give it a go - after a bit of puzzling over which way up to stick the image, I finally worked it out!
This is a card for someone who I won't name as it will spoil the surprise, but it is a thank you for something!! I thought I'd go for a bright, flowery theme as it's Spring, even though it's really miserable and gloomy outside!

Supplies:
Images: Miss Anya with Flowers from The Greeting Farm, coloured with Promarkers, "Thank You" from Raindrop Echo Designs
Paper: My Mind's Eye - Summer
Tools: Nestabilities Blossom die
Embellishments: Flowers & brads

Pocket Card

I used these instructions by Beate Johns (found on Splitcoast Stampers - click to go direct to tutorial). I didn't quite stick to the embellishment, but will do another at some point like the one Beate has made.

This is a thank you to all of the lovely people at the veterinary practice I have just finished locum-ing at. They have been very patient and kind while I have made the transition from horses-only to small animal and horse work. I will miss them, but have made some great friends so I will hopefully keep in touch.

I've used a piece of double-sided "g.c.d cloisonne" paper (although it's more like card), and I've coloured my Wild Rose Studio "Girl With Dog" image using Promarkers. Then just a few gems to finish off.

Challenges:
Sir Stampalot February - All Creatures Great & Small (quite apt I thought - girl & her dog, made by a vet!)

Distressed Autumn

Well, I've just come back from having a lovely time in Derby at Mum's godson's wedding. The sun was shining, the bride was beautiful, and a good day was had by all! I stayed at my Aunty's overnight (as she and her husband looked after the dogs for me while I was at the wedding). So I didn't have time to show you the card I made on Saturday for my other Uncle's birthday... I had a go at distressing (after the arrival of my Making Memories edge scraper) but wasn't quite brave enough to use the one Tim Holtz distress ink I have (as I have no foam pad thingy), so I used a little bronze inkpad instead! I also used some old handmade paper (not by me, though), and ripped the edges of that. The image is from Joanna Sheen's Pamela West Collection CD-Rom, and perfect for the time of year we're approaching! The spotted & striped papers are from Dovecraft Masculine paper pack.

My first altered chipboard!!

At the last DoCrafts demo Mum & I went to at Ross Labels, the demonstrator (Louise) had made a wall sign using a page from a chipboard album. Now I have a few of these from a blog candy I won a while ago (they're made by Crayola), and that was just the inspiration I needed to get them out and have a go. At the same demo I also bought some little calendar tabs. Here's what I came up with...
Side One is decorated with striped paper from DCWV Scrapbook stack. The sentiment was downloaded from Papercrafts Magazine website. I think it's a brilliant one! I've sanded & inked the edges of the star shape and added some gems to each point for a bit of bling! 3 lovely roses to finish it off!

Side Two - The paper Papermania's Love paper pack, with a sentiment is from Create with TLC. Paulette has loads of fantastic sentiments and word arts so go and see the blog!! I've used a couple of chipboard hearts and some Zoomz (also won in candy). I popped a couple of eyelets into the punched holes and used some of my jewellery tiger tail wire & beads to make a loop to hang the calendar with.

Challenges I'm entering:
Sentimental Sundays #15 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly #55 - Old, New, Borrowed or Blue (old is chipboards, new is calendar)

Pretty Fairy!

Mum bought me a pack of the Dufex Flower Fairies shimmer card blanks for my birthday, and I hadn't really got round to trying them til now - this is just an A6 piece from the A4 sheet - I love the foily flowers down the side, and the sentiments are cute! I used one of Sliekje's fairies, coloured with my Promarkers. I've done some punching with the XCut heart border punch, and a little heart punch. There's some new lace with little pink flowers in, and some pink heart gems. Busy busy!!

Tilda in Pink!

Another stamp coloured with my new Promarkers (I have Lilac, Pastel Pink, Dusky Pink and Apple so far).

I've used 2 papers - the one Tilda is on is from my Forever Friends decoupage pack, and the other is from the Dovecraft Glamour prints pack, with its lovely butterflies and flowers. I scalloped the edge using a Martha Stewart punch. The wire "Sarah" was made by yours truly, and the sentiment is a rub-on from somewhere! Then just a Papermania flower, a brad and a stripe of glitter.
