Black & White Forever Friends

Well, I'm finally getting round to posting some of the cards I made before we went to Cornwall last week! I had a sudden rush of cards to do, and thought it would be a good time to try out some of the monochrome images I'd coloured!
This card is for my male cousin - I think black & white monochrome cards are pretty good for boy cards!

Supplies:
Image: Forever Friends daisy image, coloured with Promarkers
Paper: Spot/Circle paper from Dovecraft "Charcoal Prints" pack
Embellishments: Peel off sentiment/stars on deckled edge rectangle nestie die cut, with ink around edge of paper

Challenges:

This card is for Sophie, who I've known all my life. We don't see each other that often (haven't seen her since her wedding last May), but she's still a very special friend.

Supplies:
Image: "Partying" from Penny Black, coloured with Promarkers. Sentiment from Digi Doodle Shop.
Paper: Smirk "Naughty but Nice". Pink vellum/parchment

Wishing you the Fairy best!

Wow two cards posted in one day! For some reason at the moment I find sketch challenges seem to have me stumped! I spend so long trying to find bits and pieces to fit that I never get anywhere! So here's a sketch-less creation!

Supplies:
Image/Sentiment: "Fairy 1" from Digi Doodle Shop (that I won in the Forever Friends Monthly Challenge), coloured with Promarkers, "Wishing you the fairy best" sentiment is from Create with TLC.
Paper: Both the floral and pink polkadot papers are from the Pink Petticoat, Vintage Rose Collection. The edges are chalked.
Embellishments: Handmade pink bow tied with Reflecta silvery thread!

You'll Never Walk Alone!

So Dad asked me on Friday if I could make a card for his work mate who supports Liverpool Football Club. I trawled through craft forums, and eventually found a very cleverly created backing paper & decoupage topper. I added a few football peel-offs and that was that!

A new birdhouse for Grandad!

Well, I had intended to make this to enter into the Dutch Dare Challenge (as this is where the birdhouse template came from - go and have a look) after seeing the wonderful cards they'd made, but work has been crazy the last couple of days, and I just haven't really had the brainpower to finish it in time, but here it is anyway:
My first card for ages with no stamped image/Promarkers! I've used striped paper from the Papermania Secret Garden paper pack, and the little birds are chipboard toppers from a magazine freebie. Just added some silk ivy, and a load of Shamrock Green Flowersoft (moss) to go with the peel-off that I coloured green!

Challenges I'm entering:
Cupcake Craft #95 - One for the boys
Incy Wincy Designs #45 - One for the guys
Creative Inspirations #65 - One for the boys

Thank You!

Here's a little thank you card I made yesterday.
The image is "Girl with Dog" from Wild Rose Studio that my Mum bought me on Thursday for my Birthday when we went to Bee Crafty in Evesham. It is coloured with Promarkers (Mum bought me 4 on Thursday and we've ordered 2 packs of 5 from Joanna Sheen!!) The green check paper is from Papermania Capsule Collection and the purple flowery paper is a download from Cuddly Buddly. I've added a bit of Flowersoft along the paper joins!

Easter Dragon??

Ok, so I know it's traditional to have an Easter Bunny, but I've used this Dustin Pike image, and he seems quite at home as a substitute!! I made this little card for my godson, as he's about the right age for dragons!!

I think the spotted paper is from Daisy & Dandelion (but can't quite remember) and the green paper was free with a magazine. I've cut out some egg shapes (as best as I could), and have decorated them with glitter flocking powder. Felt like trying something a bit different, although not sure it's totally worked!!

Challenges I'm Entering:
Simon Says Challenge - Splash of Green (if I'm in time!)

Happy Easter!!

Wow - 3rd card today... not had such a productive crafty day for a while! So, I decided to have a go at a Spring-y Easter card!!

So, this sweet little die-cut image is from the freebie pack in the most recent Crafts Beautiful magazine. Then I've used 2 lots of freebie papers - spots and stripes, and then a printed sentiment (from Word)! There's one piece of ribbon (from Papermania Capsule collection) cut into six, and then a flower with a button, and 2 flowery eyelets!!

Happy Birthday with Wings of Hope

Finally got around to finishing this - it's been sat on the desk for a few days part-done!

I've used the Whimsy Wings of Hope did stamp, coloured with Whispers and with added Glamour Dust.
The spotted paper is from Daisy & Dandelion "Daisy Patch" collection, and the letters and their topper are die-cuts!

Little Shopaholic!

Mum's boss asked me to make a card with a handbag theme, so here's what I came up with:

The image is a Miss Anya stamp kindly sent to me by Lisa last year! I've coloured it with my favourite (and pretty much only) medium - Whispers Strokes. The striped and diamond papers are from DCWV "Scrapbook in a stack - all occasions", with two handbags from the Dovecraft Glamour pack! The sentiment is a digital one from the CD on the January 2010 Docrafts Creativity magazine! I've gone for a pink and orangey-peach theme - love those colours!
So, I've entered this into the following challenges:
CPS #150 Sketch
Bee Crafty #22 - Favourite colour combo
Incy Wincy Designs #26 - Favourite colouring medium
