Lots of embossing!

It's been quite busy round here lately - towards the end of July was my best friend from school's wedding, at which I was a bridesmaid, so lots of things to sort out for that.
Straight after that Mum & Dad went to Mexico for two weeks, and I started a locum job for two weeks so everything was quite manic (work, looking after the two dogs and trying to water all the outdoor plants in that little heatwave we had).
So I have made a few cards, but not had time to post them!
Here's the card I made for Rach's hen party (yes, I sent her an invite to her own hen party as she wanted a surprise...)

Supplies:
Image: Bay tree from the "Born To Shop" Go Green stamp set, coloured with Promarkers. The embossed stamps are from a Laura Ashley stamp set.
Tools: Heat gun, copper embossing powder, nesties deckled rectangles.

Challenges:

My Mother's Day Whimsy Creation!

I won five of the new Whimsy Stamps digis in their March release hop, and these are two that I decided to use for my Mother's Day card. Crissy Armstrong's "In the Doghouse" on the left is my Benny dog, and Meljen's Designs "She Loves Animals" is just perfect!
I had a go at a twisted easel card, and was surprised at how easy it was (once I'd worked out which way round to stick the images)!

Supplies:
Images: "In the Doghouse" & "She Loves Animals" from Whimsy Stamps, both coloured with Promarkers.
Sentiment: "Happy Mother's Day" from My Grafico.
Paper: Paw print card from Payper Box.
Embellishments: Dog themed brads (forgot where from, sorry!), Papermania rub-on pawtracks & bones.

Mummy to Be!

This cute Forever Friends decoupage is from the booklet I've spent the last few days using (as are the papers and sentiment). I've distressed the edges for a bit of a different look (chalks, not ink).
Perfect timing as one of my friends from Zumba/ Ballroom dancing just announced that she is expecting!

Tilda Bookmark & Fancy Fold card

Here's a diagonal double pocket card made from a Splitcoast Stampers tutorial.

I've used G.C.D Studios Cloisonne double sided paper to make the actual pocket card. The gardening image on the front is from Beccy's Place  - she has loads of lovely digis to play with! I've coloured with Promarkers, and added "60" in peel-off number to the tea-cup as the card is for my friend's mum's 60th!

In the top pocket of the card I have placed a bookmark, made using gold cardstock, and Tilda with Wedding Gifts, coloured with Promarkers (to match the paper). I printed the sentiment off from Word!! I've added a ribbon and totally forgot to put an eyeley around the hole!! (Too many other things going on at home)!

You'll Never Walk Alone!

So Dad asked me on Friday if I could make a card for his work mate who supports Liverpool Football Club. I trawled through craft forums, and eventually found a very cleverly created backing paper & decoupage topper. I added a few football peel-offs and that was that!

DADDY DON'T LOOK!!!

I'll do all the chatting at the top of this post, so that if Dad's having a snoop on my blog (he does that, you know), he'll realise NOT TO LOOK at this card - it's my card to him for Father's Day!
I've used a House Mouse image called "With all my heart" to fit in with their latest Sweets challenge, coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment was from Charmed Cards & Crafts - I thought it was perfect for a Father's Day card. Both the stripy & spotted blue & white paper are from Papermania's Henbury Lane collection, with the spotted paper backed onto a strip of card punch with the MS scallop punch. I added a ribbon, 3 brads & a peel off to embellish!

So, here's the picture - last chance to look away DAD!!!

And a close up of the image:

Henbury Lane Collection Card!

We (Mum & I) went to a Docrafts demo at The Range in Cheltenham last Saturday, and couldn't resist buying the new goody bag!! It's full of the new Henbury Lane collection and other fab things!

The image is one of the new Henbury Lane stamps, coloured with Promarkers. The lovely flowery paper is also Henbury Lane (the stripy paper is from a magazine paper pack ages ago).
The lovely heart punch is a new one from Docraft's XCut (not in the goody bag but couldn't resist that either).

I found this cute Penny Black stamped image from a RAK, and thought it would suit a thank you card! I think it's called "Team Effort"!

I've coloured the image using my new Promarkers!! (Woohoo) The two designer papers were free with magazines, and the ribbon is from Hobbycraft. I added three punched flowers, with gems and three dots of pearlescent glue at the bottom.

Tilda among the flowers!

I've finally got around to colouring one of the Tilda's I stamped in my little frenzy a few weeks ago, as I found her somewhere new to sit and watch the world go by! The flower pot is a fab die-cut from Susie and I have made the flowers myself using a punch, and distressed them with a nail file. The pink & green textured card is from DCWV scrapbook kit in a stack - I had no idea it would distress until I ripped a bit and it's got a white core! The blue paper is Papermania, the brown is Daisy & Dandelion. I also used my Sizzix flourishes sizzlit that I haven't used for AGES (if ever) for the stems and the little hearts.

Happy Easter!!

Wow - 3rd card today... not had such a productive crafty day for a while! So, I decided to have a go at a Spring-y Easter card!!

So, this sweet little die-cut image is from the freebie pack in the most recent Crafts Beautiful magazine. Then I've used 2 lots of freebie papers - spots and stripes, and then a printed sentiment (from Word)! There's one piece of ribbon (from Papermania Capsule collection) cut into six, and then a flower with a button, and 2 flowery eyelets!!

Pink and Green!

Here's the first of the two cards I've made this morning (using up some paper bits, and trying a punch I didn't even know we had).

I've used some of the Funky Hand wordbook paper (the flourishy one on top), and then some pink gingham paper on the bottom. The little china girl is one of Wendy's Digital Doodlings, and I've used a little sentiment topper that came free with a magazine (and added a peel-off). I've used 2 heart eyelets, and some green ribbon. The flowers & leaves are punched from spotted/gingham/green offcuts, and I've just added some gems in the centre.

Fairy Wishes!

Here's a cute little fairy I downloaded from Sliekje's Digi Stamps - if you haven't visited her blog yet, please do as there are so many lovely digi stamps there!!

The main backing paper is from Papermania's Sweet Nothings collection, and the diamond paper is DCWV (Scrapbook kit in a stack). I've used a rub-on sentiment on a nestie-cut topper. I've gone over the flourishes on the backing paper with a glue pen & glamour dust, and added some gems here and there!
