Excellent!

"So! We meet again... Doctor!"

In a brief interlude to my Trolltooth series, I bring you the most emotional of the, normally coldly logical, Cybermen!

Resistance is futile. You Shall Be Like Us...

As my preparations for the big Dr Who game we have planned down at the Foundry in March continue I realised I hadn't photographed some of the stuff I painted last year. Last year I managed to expand my Invasion era Cyber-Army by acquiring a small force of Moonbase/Tomb era Cybermen. I've always liked this iteration of the cybermen - especially their creepy robo-voices and mouths that just slide open while they're talking!

Robo-rodents - Activate!!

First bit of non-fantasy painting I've done in a while - refreshing change in between Orc archers!

Basically I couldn't resist painting these lovely little fellas (I have 9 more to go!!) from the rather excellent and brand spanking new Crooked Dice game design studio. They are dedicated to bringing to the tabletop classic sci-fi and action TV shows of the 60s and 70s through the medium of their upcoming 7TV game. It is definitely worth checking out their site if you have a hankering for secret underground lairs, suave heroes and supervillains!

Anyway these Robo-pests are quite at home menacing these intrepid space travellers...

Tobias or not Tobias

Finally finished Tobias, Packer and his IE cronies. Decided to use resin scenic bases as a change to the usual static grass and I'm quite pleased with how they have turned out.

The minis are pictured standing in the ruins of a row of terraces, or factory, or whatever else that might happen to get blown up in the course of a scenario. This piece of terrain seems to be taking ages -  must get round to finishing off painting it before the Sontarans I've ordered from BTD arrive!

Vaughn ponders as to whether unfeeling, remorseless invaders from space are really a good choice of ally as Packer (left) and the gang advance through the ruins...

More Cybermen

Some more old pics - this time in action against Unit -

Tobias Vaughn and Packer

Finally got my minis through from Artizan designs - more Kiss Kiss Bang Bang guards to give a little variety, plus a pistol toting chap who bears a passing resemblance to Packer. Also ordered Dr Salamander from the Thrilling Tales range, who looks good as Vaughn. Did have to give him a shave though to get rid of his goatee!

Invasion Cybermen

Just finished painting up another squad of Cybermen I got on Ebay - brings total to 24 now! Just need some sewers to put them in...

Haven't finished basing them yet - wanted to try something different to the usual covering of static grass. They are pictured here in my next painting project - some nice ruins I put together from Antenociti's Workshop - it is 20mm scenery but I don't think it is too noticeable.
