Forget spending money on toys!!

Why do we spend dollar after dollar on toys when all they really want is some HUGE box that mom customized to look like a house? We got a patio set from Lowes the other day on clearance and as we were unpacking it It came to me that Ethan hadn't experienced a box yet! So with my craftiness created him one...and as you can tell they are having a blast in it!
*grin* I Love It!!

Hello over there!

Ethan, yes with a baa-baa.

So cute! Sienna and Ethan

I just LOVE this one of Ethan!

Cutie Sienna!!

me-o-my

Can I just say that I'm not too sure if I'm going to survive this summer vacation! Its already what, day 3 and we have two months and two weeks or so until school starts again!
Its not that I'm wishing my children older, or that I'm not enjoying moments of laughter with them, its the whole no routine that we have going on here. The lack of "space", or "mommy time" is whats missing, along with the sense of quiet that happened at least once a day.
What needs to take place is like the Ikea commercial....
"Someone here needs a time out".... then I need to go to my room! heehee If only it were that simple.
On the up side, Summer has been great about watching Ethan for me. The flip side is that Ethan will get upset if he cant hang with his sisters ALL the time!

I suppose it will all work out.... as long as I can get some space.

BTW if you want to know how many days or months are left before school starts, scroll down....I put in a ticker for my sanity. But right now its not my friend! *smirk*

Have a Nice Day
and
Smile All the Way!

Oh the things Big Sisters do to Little Brothers!

Why is it that as a big sister they think its their divine right to dress up younger brothers, make them kiss dolls along with stuffed animals? I suppose it could be worse, and I'm sure he will get his revenge when he grows up more and is into EVERY little thing of theirs. That day will come sooner then later! I know I gave my older brothers grief! But they deserved it! *grin*

Watch out Ladies!! Mr. Casanova is in the house.

Gotta love Build a Bear Clothing! Not to sure if pinks his color... even if they say wearing pink makes you more of a man...

At least hes wearing a construction helmet!!!

Wii-hoo!

Yesterday we got the Wii-fit! I have been so excited for this to come out. I saw it about a month ago and now its here!! It is soooo much fun! Although I'm a little porker on it... I got to watch what was my Wii person grow into the size I am...it was funny to see.

The family is all set up on it, well except Ethan, hes too little. We are already having a blast on it. I think they are onto something here, my right side was sore this morning, and I was able to do 30 mins of exercise without it feeling like it...I even ran!

So wii will see how good of a thing it will be...but so far it has been a lot of fun!

Hot new club in town....

So everyone else has been to this new place, even my cousin from Salt lake has been there...I'm sure many of you have heard of it or even have been there. Well last night I decided that I needed to go see what all the hype was about. Being in my old age I wasn't sure if I would fit in...well it seems there is no age limit to this place...and that's a good thing!

Needless to say Allie and Janet had a good time with me... We sure did live it up! It was like being a kid again!

Oh, did I forget to mention that the kids went with us...and its more of a place for them...and really we ended up being the bouncers... OH Well..... we had fun anyhow! The kids did too!

Here are some pictures that I had taken, I'm sure Allie and Janet will have some posted on their blogs to. I was really impressed at how they made the wading area..Ethan took to it like a duck..and wouldn't stop...in fact he got upset at me a few times and had a meltdown...but he got over it fast.

Ethan enjoying the water

Cutie Alyssa taking it all in, not sure what to think

Ethan watching all the other kids there

The gang

Ethan again mesmerized by the water

Sweetheart Sadie...such a cutie!!

Yes it looks like he is plugging his nose due to some foul odor... but its his meltdown!

Again with his meltdown! Janet and Allie couldn't stop laughing...its pretty funny to see his meltdown!

Anyone have an egg?

I figured I could go fry one up for dinner tonight!

Its H O T!

I knew it was a commin... but wow! My trucks thermometer said it was 106! That was at about 3:30pm. Even Ethan was saying hot and waving his hands. I just want to say I'm not looking forward to the heat. I have been living here for far too many years, and I'm still not used to it.

So here's to the many Popsicles that we will go through, to the yummy lemonade that will keep our mouths happy, and to the MANY MANY gallons of water that will be guzzled down, and played in and to the AC that keeps us cool...for without that...we would be nothing short of fried eggs on the black top.

BTW...I strongly dislike the heat...

Plasma woes

Ok so you probably have seen my kids flying around on these plasma cars AKA wiggle cars. Well today I found out that they are NOT plasma cars, they are knock-offs of the plasma brand.

I was SO excited that I had found a place that sells parts for them since Sienna's has a broken front wheel. Well I emailed them asking when they thought they would get the part in that I was looking for, I was expecting an email back telling me when, but nope! I got an email asking me to look at what color the circle was on the steering wheel, I told her along with the other information she requested. Well she emailed me back pretty much telling me that they wouldn't sell their part to me because it was a knock-off. I emailed her back asking why, they were the same...she replied telling me a whole mess of junk that just upset me even more, she even told me to contact the seller and that they couldn't help me any further! Well I bought the darn things 3 years ago at the Dickens festival!

So I went on a search to find the papers, I found the information thing, but no contact. I was SO upset that I got a knock-off... or to what she was claiming I had purchased. Well I replied back to her telling her what I had found, also letting her know that we were looking to buy another one.........

Here is the email...

We will not sell replacement parts for someone else's product. To begin with, what helps us compete with these "knock-offs" that are sold on the grey market is the fact that we do offer service and warranty, which they don't. It would be pointless to sell the parts to fix their product for them while they do not have to deal with any overhead. We also can not do it for legal reasons, for which I can not discuss the details. Also, we only stock a finite amount of replacement parts and it would not be good business to sell the parts for someone else's product while depriving our own customers because we have run out of stock.I'm sorry but we really can not help you any further

Last one...

We would be willing to sell you the part, in good faith, if you are planning to purchase a plasmacar from us. If so, please order directy from us, and we would also be willing to forgo the shipping charges on the Plasmacar. If you are interested, I would require your address and a visa or mastercard number with the expiration date. I appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter.

So I'm really upset at the whole deal! I'm upset because I cant get the part unless I buy another car from them, and they are pricey. I'm upset at how she handled the emails. While I understand their point, I don't understand why they wouldn't want my business anyhow?
So those who bought from Dickens festival.... get your information, make sure you have a way to buy replacement parts...you will need them later. And know that Plasmart Inc. will NOT let you buy replacement parts from them.

I'm hoping that I have found someone who can sell me parts to our "how-to challenger" wiggle car. But we will see.

8 more days....

Yes, can you believe it? Only eight more days until the girls are out of school... and then what?

81 days the girls will be home. Lets hope that they will get along for most of those 81 days! And lets pray for mom that she will not loose it, nor end up in a padded cell. *smirk*

This should be a good summer. I'm sure we will end up at the pool more often then not. I'm sure we will have a lot of sleepovers here and at friends. I'm sure we will have our fair share of she said - she did moments. But I'm sure we will have a lot of memories created out of this 81 day break from school.

I'm just thankful that my girls enjoy school. They have done really well this year!

To all you moms out there who are going into this break with me...hang in there... school will be back in session before we know it!

All Because of them, I am a Mother...

What a great joy it is to be a mother! I think this year it has really hit me how much it means to me to be a Mother. It is a great blessing to have such beautiful children that I get to help raise. I'm very grateful to my Loving Husband who is always there for me. I'm grateful that he took on this journey with me, and that he was willing to have children as well. I suppose growing older, and seeing your children grow makes it easier to appreciate them for who they are and what they bring to your life. I Love EACH one of my Children, and want to tell them Thank You for helping me to be the mom that I am, and thank you for the gifts and words that you have given me on this special day! I Love you all VERY much! *Hugs and Kisses*

I also want to thank my Mom for all the hard work she has done in my 33 years of life. She has taught me to be who I am, to respect others and to always be willing to lend a helping hand. She is an amazing lady whom I Love with all of my heart! Thanks for all that you do and all the support you have given me over the years! I Love You VERY Much Mom! *Hugs and Kisses*
P.S. Have a Nice Day and Smile All the Way! I Love You!!

And to Doug's Mom... Thank You for blessing me with a wonderful Husband, Without you I wouldn't have him. You have raised him to be a wonderful person who is loving and kind, and I thank you for that! Thank you for all that you have done with the girls and Ethan. I'm glad to have you as my Mother-in-Law... Love You!!

And to all my friends and family who are Mothers...
Happy Mothers Day! Take it easy, you deserve it! *hugz*

WOOHOO way to go Jazz!

I'm so glad that they won tonight!! I was beginning to think it was going to be a sweep...so glad its not!

Yes, we are Jazz fans...back when Summer was 3yrs old we would watch them play. I would even go so far as to paint my finger nails "Jazz Colors" *grin* Yes I was a freak... but I did it anyhow and loved it. That was back when they would play "da-bulls" That was some good Basketball back then! This has been a good year... they have done well....

So I say to them... GO JAZZ!

I love mornings

I really enjoy mornings, as long as its not the butt crack of dawn...

But really... Its where I find my peace. Life seems to be at its slow pace, where there isn't a rush. I used to enjoy sitting on the patio and feeling the sun soak into my skin and listen to the birds sing. Now I enjoy waking my children for school...to see them in their peaceful slumber. To going in and saying "good morning my sunshine" to my little boy. Then being able to hold him in my lap while he drinks his milk.

There is such peace within life, if only we open our eyes to it, and take it in...

Now to go change a poopy bumm....

How does your garden grow?

Well lets just say so far it seems to be growing well!

Today I was able to make my peas a place to grab a hold of and grow better. I was really excited about my "mad gardening skills" There are tomatoes, peas, carrots, bell peppers, jalapeno pepper (only one, they produce way to many!) and sweet onions!

Lets just hope that being on the north side of our house doesn't leave me short on veggies!! I really want to share my crop!
Here is where my mad skill took place...see the cool viney thing...

Here is one of 4 different tomato plants.
It even has tomatoes on it!!
And finally the peas! Look close, it has a blossom!!!!
mmmmm peeeeaaassss :)

What's with women anyhow?

The other day I was at target getting some things and as I was on my way out when I overheard a guy talking to what I think was his girlfriend or something rather. Anyhow I was just amazed at what he was saying to her. She had a magazine in her hands and he was saying that if she wanted to look a certain way it was more that she was trying to impress other guys or other people that she was fine in his eyes (yes this is my taking on it, because at my age you tend to forget word for word)... She was a fit young lady, nothing that in my eyes was wrong... but I was taken back at how he was talking to her. It was like hearing Doug talking to me. Telling me I was perfect to him. That he loved me for who I am. That I needed to "stop it" with my self doubt. It really made me laugh...

It just seems that no mater where we are in life with ourselves we are never where we think we need to be. That our size, weight, hair, clothing anything really is never quite right. We are consumed with this need to be "just right" in EVERYONES eyes, when in reality we don't. But how do we stop this obsessive need to be perfect? Why cant we learn to love ourselves and where we are in life. Why cant we let go of our imperfection, the ones we beat ourselves up on a daily basis?

You know its like the saying "everyone poops" so why are we embarrassed with even one person knowing we take a crap?
Ok, so with that I guess I'm trying to say why are we thinking we are alone in our thoughts of being not ideal when everyone feels this way? It really is silly if you think about it. Everyone has some gripe about themselves... so why cant we let go and be real? We are who we are, we look like we do because we are meant to...it makes us unique. That cant be bad. If I looked like every other person in the world, I might as well label myself as a Barbie married to Ken... with Stacie, Kelly and Todd for kids.

Anyhooo...

I guess I too need to get off the mindset that has me trapped and start enjoying my life for who I am, the way I look, and know that my Husband and Children Love me for me...and I'm sure they wouldn't change a thing...

Shoppingcart or Shoppingcat?

Back in March Ethan found a new hobby...shopping for cats. While Bandit was the ONLY one to participate in the event, he still managed to keep Ethan pushing him around the house. For some reason or another Bandit enjoys being pushed around in objects. Hes been a strange cat from day one. Non the less, Ethan enjoyed it as well!
