Viva La Verve - To the Moon

Hi Everyone,
One of my friends had a sweet wee one a couple of months ago and is here visiting with her family and I wanted to make a special card for her little one :) I used the sweet stamp set To The Moon from Verve Stamps to create this little card with the cutie giraffe using this week's Vivia La Verve sketch VLV sketch by Amber!
I love all the sweet little baby animals and sentiments in this set - so very precious! I tried to keep the card simple and tried to keep to the sketch - but sometimes it seems that you keep going even after the sketch is done :) so there might be a few more elements ;)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Clementine by CC and PTI cardstock
Inks: Memento Ink Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Spellbinders oval, white liquid pearls, bling from Want2Scrap, heart punch from Paper Studio, EK success punch (Small scallop) and dimensionals

I love seeing all the cards created using this sketch - please stop by the VLV thread to check out how you can win some Verve by playing along with the VLV sketches this month! Also, the newest Verve is about to get released this week so stay tuned!!! :D

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Big hugs,
Sankari

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #4 from Taylored Expressions

Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome to the 4th Blast from the Past Blog Hop from Taylored Expressions, where every month Taylor has a blog hop with all TE fans to create something with their favorite TE stamp sets that was released at least three months ago. The hardest thing about doing these blog hops is trying to pick one stamp set because they are all so cute and sweet! Speaking of sweet, I decided to ink up the super sweet stamp set: Sprinkled with Love which is filled to the brim with sweetness :) I had fun inking up the sweet little cupcake and using some of the fabulous DP from Cosmo Cricket.

I created this little card/envelope set thanks to my girl Lori and her Cricut (love the little doily cut) At first the card could fit into the envelope, but after adding a few embellishments to the card, I realized that its going to be a right squeeze to get it in there :) So maybe I could insert a CD instead into the envie with the card :) I tied some twine around the buttons so that it could open/close easily. One tip - is to use the Best Glue Ever, when gluing down the buttons - wow! that glue is amazing - it about glues the whole house together! It really makes embellies stay put!
Here is picture of the card: I used the sketch for this card and had fun picking the colors from the DP onto card. The bottom of the cupcake is paper pieced (stamped in white) and then glazed it and added some red stickles onto the cherry:

Here is a close up of the card , and yes as you can see, I am addicted to dots:), the swiss dots embossed folder, the line of red bling on the ribbon and the liquid pearls from Adirondacks all around :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: CosmoCricket
Ink: White Stazon for the cupcake liner, Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red.
Accessories: copper eyelet, red stcikles, spellbinders nesites (circles and scallops), glue dots, Best Glue Ever, red bling, glaze, Cuttlebug swiss embossing folder, Cricut, circle punch and Adirondack Dimensional Pearls (Terra Cotta).

I had such an fun time creating this card and envie - I love it when I lose track of time and just enjoy sitting and crafting and watching a Johnny Depp movie - sigh! the little joys in life are wonderful!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

I am so beyond excited to be on this team with some amazing fellow designers and I am loving playing with all of the newly released gorgeous JustRite stamps which are so much fun, fabulous and fantastic! of these beautiful stamps! For my "debut" as it were, I thought it would fun to create a little 3D project using the beautiful oval stamp set: Breath of Spring (oval 2 1/4" x 3 1/16") - which is filled with gorgeous blooms and beautiful oval borders that you can vary amongst the blooms:
When you open the handbag - the papers inside fold out/pop open to reveal the sentiment: "Thank you for being my Sunshine Everyday" which is from the JustRite stamp set: Romantic Sentiments 1 5/8" round and the beautiful blooms on the bottom of the inside panel, is another flower stamp from the Breath of Spring Stamp set (the flowers are actually in a watering can, but I masked it so that only the top part would be seen).
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Deep blush Prism cardstock and CC paper.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Lady bug red
Accessories: circle punch, MS butterfly punch, sponger, bling from Want2Scrap, white gel pen, eyelets and ribbon from stash and velcro stickies for the front of the bag opening.
Handbag template: created using the Ultimate Crafter Companion (handbag measures 7.5 x 10" and then inside insert is a 7.5" square (when fully extended).
I had so much fun creating this project and can't wait to make some more projects "just rite" ;) Today starts an awesome March Madness Sale over at JustRite Stamps: where you save 20% off all of the 1/58" Products!! AND - mark you calendars for a MEGA hop towards the end of this month on March 24th and 25th which will include the creative genius of 75 designers!! WOW!!!

Joyeux Anniversaire - Happy Anniversary!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

This is the second week of being a Guest Designer for FireCracker Designs - where this month I am loving playing with the beautiful stamp set: Parisian Romance! I love all the sweet images in this set and all of the fonts and sentiments too. This card is one that I made for my DH :) Our 11th year anniversary of our "first date" is coming up next week - and I wanted to make him a special little card. I tried to create a little "cafe" look for the card with the awning going up in a side angle - how I wish we could be at a cafe drinking cappuccino's.... but for right now being in the freezing cold in the cornfields with some hot cocoa will have to do :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket (boyfriend collection)
Ink: Potter's Clay from Memento
Accessories: corner rounder, sakura glaze pen, liquid lacquer, ribbon from stash, spellbinders, martha stewart punches and dimensionals.

I can't believe how quickly the time has passed by - I am so very grateful for each day - what a special gift we get to open every morning when we wake up - just the gift to be alive! You can check out more of these wonderful stamps here and also check out Pamela's blog (the owner of Firecracker Designs). This month, Pamela is offering $2 off the purchase of this stamp set: A Parisian Romance with the coupon code "sankari " :) - Thank you so much Pamela!!!

Hope you are having a beautiful start to your Monday!!!
Big hugs!

Tech Talk Blog Hop

Happy Friday Everyone!

I am so happy to be part of the Tech Talk blog hop tonight where we are featuring the super cute and uber hip Tech Talk stamp set by Gina K. Senior DT & Illustrator: Melanie Muenchinger! I love the versatility of this stamp set - you can use it for so many different occasions! So I created four cards for four different occasions: friendship/thinking of you card, love/Valentine's Day card, Get Well soon card and a Thank You card:

---------Friendship Card----------

GinaK is now offering a CardKits that comes with a sketch and papers for the different stamp sets. This card is based on the sketch that Jessica created with THIS card for the Tech Talk stamp set. I CASED Jess's card with the cute little coffee cups and changed the sentiment. I love these sweet little mugs and they are the perfect size for paper piecing. I can't wait to give this to my coffee buddy :) the next time we meet up for a cup o' joe :). You can check out more about this card kit on this link on Jessica's blog or at Gina's store.

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Pure Luxury white cardstock, Rocket Red textured base and Cosmo Cricket (Early Sunrise)
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black and LadyBug Red
Accessories: Sakura black glaze pen, spellbinders and dimensionals, corner chomper, and ribbon from stash

---------Valentine's Day Card--------

This is for my DH - who is a total computer nut! I used to joke with him that he was already married when we met......to his MAC computer! So I was so excited to make this Valentine's day card for him (I can't believe that I made a Vday card in December!!) I stamped the computer image in metallic silver paper and then stamped the sentiments including the cute little heart stamp :). I matted everything in black for a more "manly" look (lol!) - I love all the different sentiments that are possible all on one screen!

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Pure Luxury white cardstock, Silver Lining paper american crafts, bazzil basics and scrap stash,
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black and Aquamarine
Accessories: Martha Stewart heart punch, Sakura black glaze pen, EK success punch, spellbinders and dimensionals

---------Get Well Soon Card--------

This next card is inspired by this awesome card by Melanie. I love how she created a little desk by splitting the image on a piece of DP. This one is for one of our uncles who is a little sick right now and so I was trying to make the card a bit more man-ish. The sentiment: "Sorry to hear you got a virus" is so perfect for the little computer screen (and I would love it if my computer were an olive green color!). The mug is paper pieced and the scalloped edging is from the DP.
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Pure Luxury white cardstock and Cosmo Cricket Early Sunrise
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Pear Tart
Accessories: ribbon from stash and copics

--------Thank You Card-------

This next card is for a dear blogging friend of mine who just sent me some amazing goodies in the mail! I was in such shock and awe and gratitude and was so happy that I could make her a card using sentiments that we use while blogging - like TTYS (talk to you soon)!. I stamped this cute little envelope in different colors and then created a little pocket for a tagged sentiment to go into - so that it looks like you are pulling out a message:
And When you pull it out - it reads: Thank You! ((((HUGS)))), iloveyou! and TTYS! I love that you can create a little message with all the different sentiments!. I punched an opening for the tags with half of a circle punch and then created the tags by matting them and then attaching little eyelets with ribbon tied to them that you can pull out:

Card Ingredients:
Ink: Memento: Tuxedo Black, Cottage Ivy, Rosebud, LadyBug and Aquamarine
Accessories:Stickles crystal, Martha Stewart mini scallop circle punch, Sakura black glaze pen, eyelets and cropadile, corner chomper and dimensionals

I had a total blast playing along with this super cute stamp set and check out these amazing artistes for more inspiration with the Tech Talk stamp set tonight:

Melissa Shultz {CSS Designer}
Peggy Wainman {CSS Designer}
Tina Gilliland {Guest Designer}

Today the Baker's Dozen is showcasing how you can put together one of these cardkits that can make up to 10 cards by showing you a decorated a Perfect Package and 10 cards that will fit in there! Each card is an A2 size and comes with envelopes to match! I love that this box can hold all 10 A2 cards PERFECTLY!

Here is a picture collage of my Perfect Package Box , the front of it and how it opens up (I love the fact that it has a magnetic closure so that it shuts tight and is so sturdy!) and a group shot of all of my ten cards :) using the Crafty Cuppie stamp set and the Crafty Cuppie Accessories stamp set.

The Taylored Card Kit that I am used to make ALL 10 cards is the GIRL FRIDAY CARD KIT (Click on the the link and you can see all the papers, ribbon, pearls and cardstock that come with this kit ALONG with a Perfect Package Box!!! NOW THAT is awesome!!!) I adore Cosmo Cricket and I love the papers in this kit - so fun and bright and cheery!) Also what I love about the Crafty Cuppie Stamp set and the Accessory set is the variety and versatility of this stamp set - you can mix and match sentiments and images to create the perfect card for that special "crafty" someone in your life!!!

__________________________________________________________

CALLING ALL STAMPERS!

Here are some cards for that special crafty stamper in your life: I LOVE the sentiment Inky Hugs!!! :) So excited to be able to send some cards with this sentiment to my fave blog buddies :)

Or this awesome sentiment: "The worst day "Stamping" is better than the best day at work!! LOL! (there is a space in this sentiment so that you can choose which craft you want to substitute in (whether its quiliting, stamping, knitting, etc.)

__________________________________________________________

CALLING ALL KNITTERS!

Here are four of my favorite cards for all of my knitting friends! I am so excited to be able to make these cards for them!! :)

I LOVE this sentiment that you can substitute with different craft sentiments: "I *heart*... and in this case I put in "knitting" - I love the image of Cuppie knitting on this couch :)

Or this sentiment: "Knitting is Cheaper than Therapy" - and again you can substitute this with any other of the stamps in the set - so it can be "Quilting is Cheaper than Therapy, etc...." I love that versatility!!!

This sentiment always cracks me up: "Housework or Knitting? Guess which one I chose?!" hee!!! (and again you can substitute the word knitting with another craft) and if you know me - you know that I never really ever choose housework!!! LOL!!!

And my favorite substitution phrase: "I'd Rather Be..."and in this case - I put Knitting: but I love that I can use this phrase with any of the other sentiments!

__________________________________________________________

CALLING ALL SEWing LOVERS!

These Two cards below are for all the Sewing Peeps! out there :) I love the sentiment: "You're so Sweet!" sooo cute and just the fact that Cuppie is sewing just always cracks me up! I love the fact that you can paper piece the cloth that is being sewn to match your card:

Here is another one using the Sewing Cuppie Image with the sentiment "Housework or Sewing, Guess which one I chose?" How totally cute is that sentiment and this image :) I just love it!

One of my other favorite sentiments from this set (that the top of the Perfect Package Box is Decorated with) is the sentiment: "Do Something Creative Everyday": I LOVE how you can mix and match this sentiment with all of the images in this set or even with some of the accessory images as in the next card! LOVE that versatility! I totally ADORE this image of Cuppie painting - and I especially LOVE what he is painting!!! :)

And here is the last one - its one of my favorite cards (its the same way I decorated the front of the Perfect Package Box): is this card using the sentiment "Do Something Creative Everyday"

After creating ALL of these cards from ONE card Kit - I STILL have ribbon, and DP and cardstock and pearls left over for more!!! It is such an amazing new product that Taylor has put together!!

And GUESS WHAT?! She has 3 Taylored Card Kits that will be available today!!! Check out the Baker's Dozen Blogs today to see all 3 Card Kits: Girl Friday Card Kit, the Bloom and Grow Card Kit and the Pretty Please Card Kit!!! I can't wait to see - come and hop with me (LOL!!! I crack myself up with my rhyming skillzzz!!!)

and of course!: Taylor VanBruggen

I hope you have enjoyed all of the samples from this release and all of the card kits too!! I love the fact that it is so easy to coordinate making cards, and having the ribbon and cardstock, DP and even an awesome BOX to put them in!!! And to make it even easier - Taylor has a Copic Set for each Card Kit - Check it all out HERE!

Thanks for coming over to visit today - and thank you for all of your sweet comments this release - you guys are just the best!!!
Happy Friday and Weekend!!!
