Love is In the Air - Our Craft Lounge

Good Morning Everyone!

Happy first Monday in March!! Today, I am so super excited today to be this month's guest designer for Our Craft Lounge every monday in the month of March!! Thank you so much to Kendra Weitstock for gifting me with this opportunity!

I was lucky to meet Kendra at CHA in California last year - she is such a sweetheart and is so supportive, encouraging and positive! I had a lot of fun creating a card with the Love Is In the Air stamp set from OCL - love those balloons and super cute sentiments. I paper pieced the stripes on the balloon with some MME DP and then added some Cotton Candy Sparkly Fluff to the little ruffle around the top of the balloon. I love the different texture that the sparkly fluff gives the card. I stamped the clouds in the stamp set and popped them up - adding some liquid pearls on some of the clouds:

Card Ingredients:
Paper: MME DP
Inks: Memento Bahama blue and Tuxedo Black and copics
Accessories: May Arts ribbon, Spellbinders, sponger, liquid pearls, corner chomper, Cotton Candy Sparkly Fluff, bling and dimensionals.

I made this card for a very special friend of mine who is a dance teacher and put a show on this weekend in our town. She always inspires us to dance from our hearts, to feel the music as we dance, to push beyond our fears that might be holding us back from dancing - she is an amazing teacher and a wonderful friend! I love this sentiment - it is so perfect! I imagine all of us leaping into the air and touching the sky together!

Thank you again to all the gals at Our Craft Lounge for letting me hang with you this month!
And thank you for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari

Always and Forever - FireCracker Designs

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Monday! This is the third week of being a Guest Designer for FireCracker Designs - where this month I am truly loving playing with the beautiful stamp set: Parisian Romance - all of the images and sentiments are tres romantic! I love this fleur de lis stamp set which was so much fun to color in (I tried to give it a gradient look of darker on the bottom to lighter on the top) and also simply loved the font on this sentiment. Initially, I had a black ribbon for the card, but somehow it felt too much so I thought maybe a silver one might be better?
Here is a closer peek at the card - I loved giving the fleur de lis an extra shine with the crystal lacquer and then adding some bling with some rhinestones (one little tip is to add some TomBow to your rhinestones for a more assured stickiness :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Prism Cardstock and Bazzil bascis
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Brilliance silver
Accessories: copics, sakura glaze, liquid glaze, rhinestones from Kaiser, cuttlebug embossing folder, heart punch from MS, EK success punch and tombow adhesive

I really loved making this card - and can't wait to give it to DH for Valentine's Day! Maybe I should share my stamps with DH this year and ask for a homemade card too!!! If I do and if he does it - I will definitely post it on my blog!!! You can check out more of these wonderful stamps here and also check out Pamela's blog (the owner of Firecracker Designs). This month, Pamela is offering $2 off the purchase of this stamp set: A Parisian Romance with the coupon code "sankari " :)
Thank you so much Pamela!!!

Can you believe that we are more than halfway thru January? Is it me or is this month flying by?? Hope you are having a beautiful Monday!
Big hugs!
Sankari :)

Joyeux Anniversaire - Happy Anniversary!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

This is the second week of being a Guest Designer for FireCracker Designs - where this month I am loving playing with the beautiful stamp set: Parisian Romance! I love all the sweet images in this set and all of the fonts and sentiments too. This card is one that I made for my DH :) Our 11th year anniversary of our "first date" is coming up next week - and I wanted to make him a special little card. I tried to create a little "cafe" look for the card with the awning going up in a side angle - how I wish we could be at a cafe drinking cappuccino's.... but for right now being in the freezing cold in the cornfields with some hot cocoa will have to do :)

Card Ingredients:
Paper: Cosmo Cricket (boyfriend collection)
Ink: Potter's Clay from Memento
Accessories: corner rounder, sakura glaze pen, liquid lacquer, ribbon from stash, spellbinders, martha stewart punches and dimensionals.

I can't believe how quickly the time has passed by - I am so very grateful for each day - what a special gift we get to open every morning when we wake up - just the gift to be alive! You can check out more of these wonderful stamps here and also check out Pamela's blog (the owner of Firecracker Designs). This month, Pamela is offering $2 off the purchase of this stamp set: A Parisian Romance with the coupon code "sankari " :) - Thank you so much Pamela!!!

Hope you are having a beautiful start to your Monday!!!
Big hugs!

Bisous Pour Toi - Kisses for You Card :))))

Happy Monday Everyone!

I am so excited for January - for alot of reasons (one reason has 3 letters in it: CHA :) and also because I am the guest designer for Fire Cracker Designs by Pamela for this month! Thank you so much Pamela (and Libby) for this great opportunity! I used the lovely set Parisian Romance to create my card for today - I absolutely love this Eiffel Tower stamp and the sentiment that is half in English and half in French: (Bisous Pour Toi, Kisses For You).

I am usually more of a bright color kind of girl - but for this card, I wanted to create something softer and romantic - I used sweet pink paper from Teresa Collins. Here is a closer peek at the card
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Teresa Collins
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and LadyBug Red
Accessories: Circle punch CM, Scallop punch from SU, EK success punches, ribbon from stash, bling from Kaiser, hearts from K&Co, corner rounder, I forgot where the key is from and Sakura glaze pens and sponger.

I had so much fun creating this Parisian Valentine :) And I think I know just the perfect person to give it to!!! ;) You can check out more about Firecracker Designs here and also on Pamela's sweet blog!!! And Pamela is generously giving all of you who are reading this $2 off the purchase of the Parisian Romance stamps set when using the coupon code "sankari" :) Thank You so much Pamela!!!
