Hi Everyone!
Every month Taylored Expressions hosts a customer based blog hop called "Blast from the Past" - where all TE fans can play along with previously released stamp sets - and this month we have the option of a double challenge - to use both the given sketch and/or use the theme of Trick or Sweet! I decided for today's project to try to use both challenges - but I hang my head in shame for not following my own sketch - LOL!
I used one of my favorite stamp sets: Frightful Night and stamped the tree and sponged around it and cut it out with the oval die - and then popped up the house on top of the scene and then added some green glitter to the beaded oval die and cut out a little moon to the top of trees. I used some papers from the Spooky Project Pantry from Taylored Expressions for the card base and to cut out some spooky pennants using the Pennant Border die from Taylored Expressions for the top of the card - I finished it off with a ribbon on the side and a small line of liquid pearls on the top edge:
Card Ingredients:
Paper: Echo Park - Apothecary Emporium and cardstock from the Spooky Project Pnatry
Stamps: Frightful Night from Taylored Expressions along with the sentiment from: Trick or Sweet from Taylored Expressions
Inks: Memento Inks: Black Tuxedo, Cantaloupe and copics
Accessories: Oval/Beaded Oval nesties and flag label from Spellbinders, Pennant Border from Taylored Expressions, green glittter from Martha Stewart and corner chomper
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please check out all of these wonderful designers who are hopping along today - and check out more details on Taylor's Blog for how you can join in the fun on the next hop (one random hopper who joins in on the fun will receive a free Taylored Expressions stamp set of their choice and another hopper's card will be featured in the monthly newsletter!) !
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #13: Sending you Sunshine!
Hi Everyone,
Sorry to be MIA - summer has been really a bit crazy with travel and being with family and friends and I haven't been to my craft room in awhile - but I was excited to go down there to create a card for the July Blast From the Past blog hop today - where the theme is Sending you Sunshine! This is such a fun way for all Taylored Expressions fans to hop along each month with previously released stamp sets!
You know me, I love sunshine (well, except when the heat index is 118 degrees... then I long for a cool fall day!) and I couldn't wait to play along! I used the sketch that I created for today's blog hop - and I have to apologize for those of you who might have used it - because it was a bit wild (sorry about that! ;) I had a hard time using my own sketch (lol!) but then as soon as I used the Splash 6x6 paper pack with the Hangin' Out at the Beach stamp set from Taylored Expressions - it all kinda of fell into place:
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Hangin' Out at the Beach at the Beach by Taylored Expressions
Cardstock: Bazzil and Taylored Expressions Choice Snowwhite cardstock
DP: Echo Park Splash 6x6
Accessories: American craft ribbon, button from BG, vellum from Bazzil, liquid pearls from Ranger (white), corner chomper, spellbinders and bling from Kaiser
I love the little bikini in this card - gosh - those bikini days are like distant memories right now :) - but it was fun to stamp one! For the circle element in the card - I made it by punching a piece of vellum out and then putting some dimensionals onto the bikini to pop it out a bit. I finished it by tying some ribbon and adding a coordinating button in the middle and also threw in some liquid pearls :)
I can't wait to see what all the fun girls have created with this awesome summer themed blog hop! Please check them out and hop on over to Taylor's Blog for more details as to how you can be part of the next hop!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Blast From the Past Blog Hop (June): New Beginnings
Today over at Taylored Expressions, is the totally fun monthly June Blast from the Past Blog Hop which is open to all customers and fans of TE to join in by creating a card using a previously released TE stamp set. This month's theme is "Old Glory" and to use the colors red, white and blue in your creation (it doesn't have to be patriotic images) and you can create with the optional sketch provided. I kinda went with a more turquoise version of the blue and created a card for a very dear friend of mine who is starting a new chapter in her life. She has gone through so much this last year and even more these past few months - and as she ends one chapter in her life and starts a new life (something that is both scary and exciting) I wanted to make her a special card to honor her courage and to let her know that she is not alone.
I used one of my favorite stamp sets: New Beginnings - which has such lovely sentiments of encouragement! The middle portion of the large frame was filled in by stamping
Card Ingredients:
Paper: BG, Choice Buttercream cardstock
Stamps: New Beginnings by Taylored Expressions
Inks: Bahama Blue and Ladybug Red
Accessories: copics, circle and scallop punch, EK success scallop border, liquid pearls, prima flower, corner chomper, button from BG,
The best part about making this is being able to give it to her in person - I am so excited to be able to hang out with her next week and spend some R&R time together :) I had fun making this card - and I hope you have fun hopping along today and checking out all the Blast from the Past creations from everyone! I can't wait to hop over and check out all the creations that everyone has created with these colors!
Thanks so much for hopping by here today
Have a wonderful Thursday!
Big hugs,
Sankari :)

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #7 - Taylored Expressions
Hi everyone,
Every month Taylored Expressions hosts a Blast from the Past Blog Hop - where all TE fans can sign up for the blog hop and use their fave TE stamps from previous releases. This month, the theme was to create something with "Love is in the Air" and I knew that I wanted to use the cutest little elephants from the Stamps A La Carte Elephants in Love. I love these cute elephants and love that they are showering everyone with hearts :)
I used the sketch from this month's Blast From The Past and used the new Be Mine DP from Echo Park - love the grays in this collection! I stamped the ellie heart image onto the Snow White Choice cardstock. I paper pieced some of the hearts and then colored the rest of the hearts and the cute ellies with copics. After finishing, I finished with my clear spica glitter and applied a few epoxy hearts to the stamped image. I cut out the stamped image using the Taylored Dies: Take Note Die -3 and stamped the sentiment "showered with love" and made it a wavy flag. I had fun with the white opal liquid pearls and finished off the card with a trio of hearts on the bottom of the card:

Blast From the Past Blog Hop #4 from Taylored Expressions
Welcome to the 4th Blast from the Past Blog Hop from Taylored Expressions, where every month Taylor has a blog hop with all TE fans to create something with their favorite TE stamp sets that was released at least three months ago. The hardest thing about doing these blog hops is trying to pick one stamp set because they are all so cute and sweet! Speaking of sweet, I decided to ink up the super sweet stamp set: Sprinkled with Love which is filled to the brim with sweetness :) I had fun inking up the sweet little cupcake and using some of the fabulous DP from Cosmo Cricket.
I created this little card/envelope set thanks to my girl Lori and her Cricut (love the little doily cut) At first the card could fit into the envelope, but after adding a few embellishments to the card, I realized that its going to be a right squeeze to get it in there :) So maybe I could insert a CD instead into the envie with the card :) I tied some twine around the buttons so that it could open/close easily. One tip - is to use the Best Glue Ever, when gluing down the buttons - wow! that glue is amazing - it about glues the whole house together! It really makes embellies stay put!
Here is picture of the card: I used the sketch for this card and had fun picking the colors from the DP onto card. The bottom of the cupcake is paper pieced (stamped in white) and then glazed it and added some red stickles onto the cherry:
Here is a close up of the card , and yes as you can see, I am addicted to dots:), the swiss dots embossed folder, the line of red bling on the ribbon and the liquid pearls from Adirondacks all around :)
Card Ingredients:
Paper: CosmoCricket
Ink: White Stazon for the cupcake liner, Memento Ink: Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red.
Accessories: copper eyelet, red stcikles, spellbinders nesites (circles and scallops), glue dots, Best Glue Ever, red bling, glaze, Cuttlebug swiss embossing folder, Cricut, circle punch and Adirondack Dimensional Pearls (Terra Cotta).
I had such an fun time creating this card and envie - I love it when I lose track of time and just enjoy sitting and crafting and watching a Johnny Depp movie - sigh! the little joys in life are wonderful!!!
