Congratulations - Engagement or Anniversary

Friday May 12, 2017

OK This is the last card .. for the anniversary, wedding, engagement cards I have been making.. I think.. I need to clean my craft table off.. Let's see if that happens..
But for now this is my engagement card.  I was looking for papers and possible masculine type card. I liked the paper I used for the Anniversary card and while I was sorting through the top of my desk I saw this strip and thought it would be great for engagement.. I added black ribbon to the bottom half and a thin strip of black paper to the top half. Again Kolette Hall stamp and half pearls.. Really simple card. I hope you enjoy.

Congratulations - Engagement card

Wednesday May 10, 2017

Ok if you have wedding cards and anniversary cards, you need engagement cards .. So this is what this card is. It's not as elegant as the DCWV wedding - anniversary cards.. This was from another pack of DCWV and I like the soft look. I used the Kolette Hall sentiment. It's not as flowing as the wedding cards. I used another Paper Trey ink die .. this flower.. It's so pretty. I used some scrap papers and so glad I could pick up the colors from the DCWV paper. I added Martha Steward punched leaves. Finished it off with half pearls.

Catch the bug - Tuesday new release..  Sun Bonnet Bride

Just in time for weddings.. Catch the bug has a new release... Sun Bonnet Bride. You can find the image in the Bugaboo store.
I chose to color the bride in soft pinks. I added the Spectrum Noir glitter brush to the vail and dress. I added some Nuvo drops to the centers of the flower and along the bonnet. I used a Stampin up roller wheel on the background. I used Simon Says sentiment.  The die cut is from My Favorite Things. I thought it needed a bow so I added the ribbon behind the image.

Congratulations - female card

Sunday May 7, 2017

OK so I was looking at my craft table and I had this flower left over from a Scrapbook page I was working on.. (I do test kits for a local scrapbook company.. sometimes there are left over items) I did not want to put it away and so I thought I would just make another graduation card.. This is a feminine one for sure. I used an embossing folder for the background. I then used a Simon Says stamp set for the ring and flowers. I used Stampin up ink. The ring around the flower was from the scrapbook page I didn't use. The congratulations is a Kolette Hall rubber stamp. I used some Prisma color pencils for a little color in the stamped flowers. The tag is Marianne die.

Wishing you lots of Happyily Ever After

Thursday May 4, 2017

This is another card I came up with. I love the yellow and silver and so when I stamped the Simon Says sentiment I added silver Stampin up embossing powder. I like the look. I made another My Favorite Things flower and stamped some more leaves from Paper Trey Ink using their stamp, die and ink. The paper is from DCWV and I added Nuvo drops to the center of the flower.. I hope who ever gets this card will love it and cherish it for years.

Congratulations - Wedding

Tuesday May 2, 2017

Well it's that time of the year for weddings and I know there are people looking for cards. So I am standing at my large craft table and laying out papers and thought why not go a little off on colors.. I haven't been to a wedding for a long time so I really don't know what the in colors are.. But I was liking what I was seeing.. So over the next week or so I plan to make cards.  I have done similar cards in the past.. just different papers. I thought I would stay with that layout..
The Congratulations is Simon Says stamp. I heat embossed with Stampin up black. The papers are from DCWV and my favorite flower is from My favorite things. I added a dollop of Nuvo drops to the center of the flower. The leaves are from Paper Trey Ink and using their ink.

Congratualtions grad

Thursday April 27, 2017

I know you have seen so many of my graduation - congratulation cards.. I made another like ones posted before.. This one has a different color tag.. Again Ranger ink smooshing. The background is Ranger inks and water drops. This card you can add money or gift card behind the tag. I love making these. You can find out the school colors and create the cards for the special grad.  The tag is Marianne die, the silhouette is Impression Obsession and a brad in the tag hole.
Very simple to make and fun to create.

this card I posted earlier.. but it shows the cash/gift card idea...  This is what can be done with above card

Congratulations - grad

Sunday April 23, 2017

I wasn't going to post this card because I have been making a lot of graduation cards.. But I thought this is a little different than the others.. Still same with tag and being able to put a gift card or money behind tag.. but I did an embossed background using a Stampin up embossing folder.. I had a request from a friend to make her brother a green/yellow graduation card.. So I hope she likes. I did the water color smooshing Ranger ink water color tag. I used Marianne tag die and a bronze brad.. I embossed the Paper Trey ink congratulations and used Impression Obsession grad silhouette.

Wedding card #4

Sunday August 21, 2016

Ok this is the 4th Wedding / Congratulations card. It took awhile to make this card as every night I seemed to have something going one. I need to bring the cards to work tomorrow so my friend can chose or take all 4 of them. Now maybe if you went back and looked at the other three you could see why I had a hard time choosing which group of papers to use. I did two in cream card stock base and the flowers same cream and two with white card stock base and white flowers. I love all four.
This one is the same as others just different papers and again this one has the embossing folder strip. I love summer weddings.. it's easy to pick colors.
I love the misti stamping tool. I've made these cards before for my friend and the congratulations wasn't stamped as strong it is on these using the misti and re stamping at least 3 times.  If you haven't bought it yet.. I highly recommend it. I just have the small one and I love the size. I like that you can also stamp your sentiment or image and then if you don't use an embossing ink you can stamp in color of choice and then when you are happy you use versa mark and re stamp again and emboss. It's perfect alignment each time you stamp.  I can see more embossing in my future.. (this is not ink embossed)  I just went through my many many embossing powders and put them in a lot smaller containers and then stamped a word on white and black and them embossed it and stuck it to the top of the lid. This way I have an idea what it looks like for future embossing projects.

Congratulations card #1

Wednesday August 10, 2016

Well since we are on vacation at Catch the bug I have had some ... very little .. but some time to make some cards.  A co-worker wanted some of my Congratulations /wedding cards. She ordered some last year and loved them and got raves from people who saw them.. She only wanted 3 but I was pulling papers and said OH I love these... OH I LOVE these... Oh and Oh an so on so ends up I will make 4 when I am done.. or will I find more papers????. I will post separate cards over the next few days as I make them.. I have a feeling she will take all 4 of them.. if not I know I can sell it elsewhere or use it for someone..
This is the first one. I used scrap of designer paper, the black strip has been put through an embossing folder. The leaves are Stampin Up and the flower is my favorite of all times from My Favorite things. The sentiment is from Simon Says. I used my mini stamper thingy and loved that I could go over the sentiment 3 times and perfect line up (the little dots in the sentiment are in the stamp. it's just the way it's made)..  I am going to love that tool. What do you think? Did I chose some awesome colors?
