A couple of weeks ago I saw an appeal on the BBC Radio Sheffield Facebook page - Winnie, a resident in one of the local care homes, will be celebrating her 100th birthday at the end of May. Winnie doesn't have any family or know many people outside of the home so Radio Sheffield asked for help in making her day a special one. So far, cards have been sent by the 1000s from all over the world. I think Winnie may be opening them for many months to come!
Here is the one I made for her:

What a wonderful story, so glad you were able to make this fabulous card for her.
When you mentioned her name it stuck a cord, as my Mum was a Winifred, however she was luckier to have a large family loving her.
