As You Like It Challenge (DT) Favourite Two Colour Combo

Oooh, it's a colour challenge theme over as
this time, and we would like to see (and hear about)
Your Favourite Two Colour Combo

I have lots of favourite colour pairings, but I always seem to come back to
blue and brown, I don't know why, to me it's just a comforting combo, and can be
used in so many different ways.

I've used one of the Lili of The Valley Spring Gnomes stamps
Teamed with a mix of Honey Bee and Sunny Studio papers
and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted
Gnome coloured up with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and Polychromos Pencils

The Gnome & The Letter (DT) Dies To Die For (UPDATED)

Happy Weekend everyone!

I'm hoping that by the time this posts, the DTDF website problems will have been resolved, but at the time of writing they aren't so I will pop back to add the ingredients links for you.
UPDATED:  ALL THE LINKS NOW ADDED

Gnomie coloured with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and Polychromos Pencils

I decided to stack the HELLO so cut four layers of thick white card, and one of the MFT paper, and got sticking.  Shame you can't see the "popping off the card" effect in the photo!

Ribbon or Flowers (DT) As You Like It Challenge

Well hello there chaps!  How are you on this fine Thursday?  You do know of course that with it being Thursday it is time for another fortnight's challenge from the AS YOU LIKE IT gang.

This time, the theme is Ribbons or Flowers (Your Favourite and Why)

I have more of an affinity with flowers than I do with ribbon, although I don't use either that much really.  However, for this challenge I was going to make an effort and out came the flowers, only to find that my silicon glue is a solid lump in a tube!  So, I had to resort to flat flowers ..... (I can hear Red Leader grumbling from here)

So this ADORABLE little chap is new and he is
I don't have the die, but there is one available, so I had to fussy cut
He is painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) used as watercolours
The leafy stem is a Tonic die and
the flowers are various sizes of Woodware punch, with Card Candy centres
(didn't have the right colour so inked up a cream one with a yellow pen)
The layered Hello die is from Create A Smile
Papers are Sunny Studio (purple) and Prima (blue)

So there you have it - except for our wonderful sponsor for this theme who is

£10 voucher from
Fantastic Ribbons

Hope you will take time in your busy schedules to come and join in the fun.

Gnome Pile (DT) Dies To Die For

Morning all, running a little late because of v.e.t appointment but Squirrel is now in the house

Every now and then, amongst all the impossible ideas, the husband comes up with a little cracker and on this one he was so right, so I had to go with it.

"They look like little Santas" he says

The Gnomes/Santas are painted with Distress Inks (ReInkers) and there is a little bit of Polychromos
Pencil in the beards - I really need to practice beards, it has taken me ages to master normal hair but beards are a whole other world of hairyness.

That's a Martha Stewart snowflake in the corner, but simply because I had the punch to hand.

Speaking of hairyness, this morning's v.e.t visit (booster vaccines and worming) went relatively well.  Managed to get Her Ladyship into the carrier with no biting or scratching,  but of course we had the traditional yowling all the way to the surgery.  We had a bit of a wait, but not too bad, and she had settled nicely while I was chatting to Ninja's mum (grey tabby, Ninja, not his mum) and she mentioned that she was bracing herself to be told he was fat.  I kept quite quiet!

Anyhoo, our turn came and I plonked the box on the table.  Would she come out, would she heck as like.  "That's a lovely collection of whiskers" coos the lady vet, as that was all that was making an appearance.  In the end we had to resort to the undignified process of tipping the box and sliding her onto the table.  Once there, she was very well behaved and took the vaccine and worming like a trooper.  I thought the scales would be a challenge but she treated them a bit like a royal throne and sat down quite happily.  The brilliant news is that we have a small weight LOSS at last!

OK, so it was only 200gm, and there is an awful lot more she can shift, but it is her first recorded loss and I was so chuffed.  It took a while to wean her off the Dreamies but it seems to be paying off.

As the treatments were done I picked up the carrier to bring it to the table and had only just got level with the edge of it, not even on it, and she was back in that box like a rocket!  We're home now (obviously) and have had a small snack and are now napping in my armchair.  Bless.

Right then, that's me done, I need to get a chicken in the oven to roast.

Have a wonderful weekend peeps

Love

Oh Gnome - You DIdn't?! (DT) DTDF

Morning all, it's a chasing-her-tail type of Squirrel today, I'm running a bit behind

Anyhoo, I'm here with a little Bella fun for you

So, what I have used

I just love that snail's face!

and of course the whole image was plastered with Distress Inks (ReInkers)

I made the big flower using a Die-Namics set but I can't tell you what it is as I bought it unlabelled in a destash, but it makes me think of a Dianthus with the frilly petal edges

Hugs to all
