---Day 2 Post from Peachy Keen Blog -- :)
Hello again! First things first... Remember yesterday how I mentioned the beautiful weather in Wisconsin? Let me take that back! We have heat advisories out for the next two days and then back into the 50/60's on Thursday. Apparently I spoke too soon. :) Okay, enough about the crazy weather...
Today I decided that I need to take a few minutes and make a baby card for one of my BFF's who just had a sweet little baby girl. This was a bit of a challenge because my friend does not love pastels and even more specifically, pastel pink. I kept it to a minimum by using brightly colored patterned paper with a very little sprinkle of pinks. :) What do you think?
Oh and the super sweet PK-222 Happy-Go-Lucky Elephant... one of my faves!
That bow on the card isn't just an ordinary bow. It is fully equipped with an alligator clip on the back and ready to be tucked into some of that new-baby-smelling hair. I make hairbows... it's kind of my 'thing'. So I have been adding a small one to baby girl cards that I have made lately. Every little girl needs a pretty hair bow! :) Even if you can't make your own hair bows, this would be a super easy gift to whip up for a new baby girl! Buy a few bows to add to the card and VOILA! But if you don't want to add bows... it's still a fun card with a super cute elephant!
Supplies I used:
PK-222 Happy-Go-Lucky Elephant
Little Girl (all patterned paper and cardstock sticker 'cutie pie') by Echo Park Paper
Kraft cardstock by Bazzill
Button by BasicGrey
Ribbon by Offray
gellyroll white pen
COPIC markers
Tuxedo Black Memento ink
Lilac Twine from the Twinery
That's all I have for today... but don't forget about that sweet candy!
To be entered into the drawing please leave a note on this blog post and also on my blog. You will have five days to leave a note, so that is five chances to win! :) I will use random.org to pick which day and post for the winner. I will draw and announce the winner on my blog on Saturday June 11th.
Have a great Tuesday! Thanks for checking out my project today!
