Valentine's Day Card Blog Hop

Hey there! If you arrived here from Sarah's blog you are in the right place! If not, feel free to hop back to the beginning over to Ellen/CardMonkey's blog and start from the beginning. Lots of fun stuff to see hopping along the way!

Here's my card for the hop --

The sentiment is a little harder to read because I stamped it on the polka-dotted part... "Through Rain or Shine you'll always be mine" an itty bitty stamp by Unity Stamp Co. (I stalked Archiver's for this stamp for quite a while! They finally got more in! Woo!)

Paper pieced her accessories, because every girl needs matching accessories!

Birthday Girl!

This is the very first birthday layout I've scrapped of my daughter... and it is from over six months ago when she turned five. How bad is that? Show's you how far behind I am on things. :) I'm still playing catch up with the baby books!

The paper is from SEI - a recent release of birthday stuff. Lots of cute graphics and embellishments for this line, I enjoyed the bright colors. I have a hard time scrapping holidays and birthdays because I feel like somehow they always end up kind of cheesy, but I love how this turned out. :)

Thanks for looking!

Cuttle Buggin'!

This is such a fun layout, if I do say so myself.

My lovely daughter decided she wanted to help me make some origami flowers for some cards that I did a while back for a card swap. I figured she could use the cuttlebug no problem since she has her little cuttle kids. Well, she comes downstairs all dressed up and ready to help me... in her butterfly costume. She figured if she was going to use my cuttleBUG she should be a bug! How is that for a five year old's train of thought?

The paper and die cut are from one of the new Quite Contrary My Mind's Eye lines. I embellished the die-cut to make it have more texture and dimension and then of course there are some lovely new Thickers that one of my scrappy friends sent me, thanks Jessica! :)

("pearls" are from Liquid pearls... I finally used them! Yeah! I used a lot of Stickles on this page too. Gotta love all the sparkles!)

A couple new layouts! :)

I did these a week or so ago and I just haven't had time to post them. Today I made time during morning nap, so here we go! :)

There are a couple of these that are unusually simple for me, but I love the paper and colors and they worked perfectly for the pictures I had. Don't you just love when that happens?

Paper and products from the first two layouts are from the new My Mind's Eye lines. :)

Catching up a bit!

There are a couple layouts I've done recently and haven't posted, so I need to catch up!
This is with a page kit from a swap -- I tried some glimmer mist and stickles on this layout to distress some of the patterned paper and flowers. It was fun!

And this one was a layout that I was doing for a fast scrap and I was a complete dork and didn't read the rules clearly enough. The fast scrap was for a CARD, not for a layout! No matter, I got a layout done in less than an hour and I think it turned out pretty good! See -- this is proof I can scrap faster. :)
