Sugar and Spice and SPARKLES!

Okay, so I'll admit it... I may have gone a little glitter crazy with this layout. It sure was fun!!!

This is my little girl when she was around 2 and got her first tutu dress up outfit. She wouldn't take it off and in fact, we went out to dinner with friends that night and she wore it there too. I believe she cried that night when it was time to go to bed and she had to take it off. Goofy girl! She's still all about fancy and fru-fru things, so apparently this is when it all started!

Thanks for looking!

Cuttle Buggin'!

This is such a fun layout, if I do say so myself.

My lovely daughter decided she wanted to help me make some origami flowers for some cards that I did a while back for a card swap. I figured she could use the cuttlebug no problem since she has her little cuttle kids. Well, she comes downstairs all dressed up and ready to help me... in her butterfly costume. She figured if she was going to use my cuttleBUG she should be a bug! How is that for a five year old's train of thought?

The paper and die cut are from one of the new Quite Contrary My Mind's Eye lines. I embellished the die-cut to make it have more texture and dimension and then of course there are some lovely new Thickers that one of my scrappy friends sent me, thanks Jessica! :)

("pearls" are from Liquid pearls... I finally used them! Yeah! I used a lot of Stickles on this page too. Gotta love all the sparkles!)

From the Scrap and Chat Weekend. :)

Here are the other layouts I got done this weekend during an online 'Scrap and Chat'... like a mini crop thing. :)

An 'OOPS' challenge - to incorporate pictures of little ones with boo-boos and things... this was when my niece had a broken ankle and they had rented a wheelchair for their vacation (would be walking a lot) and they brought home my daughter one night and I saw them walking down the street to come home and I had to snap a picture of her on her lap -- so funny! :)

And then the last one is a mosaic picture challenge... I scrapped a picture of some gorgeous bright pink flowers my husband surprised me with one day 'just because'. He's so sweet to me. :)

Olympic inspired scrappin'....

I tend to take waaaaay too long on one layout. I've been trying to push myself to scrap faster and be satisfied with my work... so last night I had the Olympics on and I decided I was going to take some inspiration from Apollo Ono and go faster! (Still so bummed about that bronze, he was robbed!) :) Anyway... speed skating anger aside, here are the layouts I finished last night:

A little late!

So I made these about a week or so ago(its been a week and 3 days exactly, ha!) when I was trying out some copic markers.

I stamped with brown Staz-on and heat set it so it wouldn't run (I've read a lot about copics lately and I've heard it can run with Staz-on ink). Then I shaded a little with the markers and cut them out and added some glitter/stickles.
I probably wouldn't glitter/stickle them as much next time, but I think they are pretty! (They are even prettier in person... the photos don't really do them justice!)

I got the idea from Jennifer McGuire's video about quick coloring with copics... and I just recently purchased those butterfly stamps when Hero Arts released them, so it was meant to be! When I was looking for some information on them her site came up with this video entry and its a great easy way to see how they work kinda. :) She prefaces the video saying she's not a pro with them, but I think she does a great job!
