Hello

I have quite a few green flowers in my garden. Most of them are hellebores which are shade loving plants and thrive in the shadow of my neighbour's garage. This die by Simon Says Stamp was stacked a couple of times with the top layer being a piece of relaxed shaving foam technique card which I made quite some time ago. this is my video of that technique.

The embossed panel is from a Memory Box die, I usually only use a portion of the impression, as the size differs from the card bases used in the UK.
I don't recall the make of the sentiment die, but a chopped on part of one of the tails to add it to the card. Looking at the picture I may chop off a little more to make it flush with the edge of the embossed panel!

May Your Christmas Dreams Come True

Here we are in my final week as Guest Designer at Just Us Girls. It has been such fun, with terrific challenges each week. Those who know me of old, know that my style is extremely Clean and Simple and this week's is no exception. The theme is to use PLAID, and as usual I have used just a very little of it, I think this came from a free pull-out of papers from a craft magazine.

I chose lots of star embossing dies for the background from Creative-Depot.de and added the scrap of plaid to a hanging star, with more stars and a touch of ivy... something that is used to decorate homes at Christmas time in the UK... so with the the (wishing) stars and the Christmas foliage, I chose the sentiment to combine the two, from Simon Says Stamp.

Happy Christmas

I recently got a shipment from Creative-Depot in Germany, which included this thing which looks like a die but is in fact an embossing gizmo. It made the snowflake impressions for the backdrop to this card. The pass for the second impression flattened the first impression, so I ran the piece of card through the machine again without the 'die', to get both impressions looking similar!
I made this card for the challenge at CAS Christmas which this time is calling for plaid!

This particular piece is from Pink Petticoat, called Little Check. I'm  not sure if they are still in business, but their printable papers suit me as they are monochromatic and snippets fit well into the CAS genre. I made a tag from a couple of star dies, adding an eyelet, something I haven't used for years and had to look up how to use my Crop O dile on the internet. I added a little gold twine and wasn't quite sure how to stop the ends of it from fraying, so I just dipped them in a little white school glue and let them dry. I guess time will tell whether or not that will work!
