Good evening everyone, I hope you are all well! I wanted to share with you what I have been doing for several months. First of all Ruby just recently turned 2, I can't believe it! Well she loves the story of the three little pigs, so I decided to make her and interactive felt quiet book of the story. I found the pattern for the pigs on the internet and saw the cutest wolf and drew him from the one I saw. For the book itself I drew and designed it all myself. I actually designed as I went along. That book took me a couple of months. Then I was looking on Pinterest (I love Pinterest, I have over 2700 followers and a lady wrote and told me that I have very good taste, how sweet of her) and saw the cutest little dress with the three little pigs. Well, I knew I just had to make a tree little pigs dress for Ruby sooooo, I hunted ebay for fabric and for the iron on transfer for the bodice. I ordered and waited, oh they came fairly fast but I was impatient. In the mean time both of my sewing machines decided to break on me, UGH!!!!! The closest certified repair shop was very far away soooooo, I bought a new machine. Oh how I LOVE it! Anyway, I finally got the dress made (I did a lot of hand work on it). Well, I was on the phone with Nana (of My Crafting Channel) as I was finishing the hem on the dress and was looking threw some of my patterns and low and behold I had a pattern of some stuffed animals and one of them was a little piggy. Yippee! As we talked I cut it out did the eyes and sewed it up. It as soooo quick and easy! Nana suggested that it had to have a curly tail (the pattern did not call for one) so I made my own. Thanks Nana! I also added pink cheeks and a smile that the pattern did not call for. I love how it turned out! Please be patient with me about the photos, I wanted you the see all of the detail.

And here is Ruby's dress. I love it!!!!
I hand stitched the little piggy's and flowers. I love the added rick rack. I sewed buttonholes on my new machine and added the cute red buttons.
I added the rick rack on the skirt of the dress too.
And here is the little piggy. I made her out of fleece, nice and soft.
Here is piggy's face, I added a smile and pink cheeks.
Here is the back of piggy.
And here is piggy's curly tail!
On to the book. I love the ribbons!
On to the inside. The wolf attaches with Velcro so Ruby can take him off and play with him.
He is hiding behind the bush, well kind of.
Here is the straw house.
Oh no! The wolf blew the house down! Run piggy run.
Here is the flowers. Sorry it is so blurry.
The next pages.
The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down!
Here is the stick house.
Oh no! The wolf blew the house down, Run piggy run!
I love the apple tree, the curtains and the little heart! If you look in the left hand top corner you can see how I attached the ribbons. I sewed buttonholes on all of the pages.
On to the brick house.
The wolf huffed and puffed and blew the house down!
Look at all the hand stitching, most of the book was hand stitched and I did a little on my machine.
The door opens to the brick house to reveal the fireplace.
And here is an up close look at the fireplace.
The roof to the house is open so the wolf can go down the chimney.
Ugh oh, the wolf slid down the fireplace! Get him out quick!
Here is a close up of the sunflowers.
Here is a personal message to Ruby. I stitched her name and the little heart in sparkly embroidery floss.
And here are all the characters.
I just love the little piggy's!
And the big bad wolf doesn't look so bad, he's kind of cute!
I hope you enjoyed Ruby's Piggy Presents! Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful evening!
Hugs Pam
