Dancing, Partying and grenandes, Sounds like a good time.
Not confirmed to be part of the threat of retaliation towards Americans because kenya is going after Al Shitbaab in Somalia.
Could be just a random Islamic Idiot.
(CNN) -- Twelve people were injured when someone either placed or threw a grenade into a Nairobi night club early Monday morning, Kenyan police said.
Police have not linked the attack to any particular group, but it comes a day after the U.S. Embassy in Kenya warned it had credible information of an imminent terror attack.
"We have not yet linked attacks to anybody as we are still investigating," said police spokesman Charles Owino. "We will give you an answer when we're satisfied with what we have. It could be Al-Shabaab or an individual. We are still investigating."
In its warning over the weekend, the U.S.Embassy did not offer details on who might carry out such an attack, but said it has taken measures to limit official U.S. government visits. It urged its citizens to consider deferring travel to Kenya.

Norway Prepares for Court Appearance by Suspect in Attacks
Anders Breivik, Douchebag extraordinare.
This guy is so stuck on himself it is ridiculous, he would like to wear a uniform at his hearing that he wants to be public, he copied the Unabombers manifesto as his own and added some major drivel over the top of it, He believes he is the Ultimate religious warrior - a Knight.
Unfortunately Norway does not have a death penalty, so this waste of a human being will be able to sit out the rest of his life in prison.
Lets hope Norway is at least smart enough to keep this whole trial out of the spotlot so as not to give Anders his soap box.
The New York Times
After a day of remembrance and self-examination for Norway, a small country shaken by the massacre of at least 93 of its people by one of its own, the nation braced on Monday for the first court appearance for the 32-year-old man who says he carried out the twin attacks that killed them...
Anders Behring Breivik, 32, the only suspect arrested, admits to the shootings on Friday on the island of Utoya and the fatal bombing of government offices in Oslo on the same day, his lawyer, Geir Lippestad, has told Norwegian news media. But he rejects “criminal responsibility.” Mr. Lippestad said that Mr. Breivik insists that he acted alone, and alone wrote a mammoth manifesto — rambling from a hostile historical look at Islam to recipes (and price lists) for bomb manufacture to his family’s pressure on him to date...
According to his lawyer, Mr. Breivik has requested to appear in some kind of a uniform during the hearing — the exact kind was not known — apparently seeking a global platform for his right-wing views.
Mr. Breivik also clearly wants to leave a legacy and thinks he will create some kind of mass following, said Tore Bjorgo, one of Norway’s most respected scholars of right-wing extremism. “He had this strange idea that he will provoke a mass following, despite the violence, which is why I put it in a Christian frame,” said Mr. Bjorgo, a professor at the Norwegian Police University College.

Al-Qaeda terror plot targeting Europe uncovered
Al Qaida has been looking to commit some Jihad antics on Britain , France and even Germany .
More reason to Bring the Fight to these Ingrates before they can attack anybody else .
BBC
Intelligence agencies on both sides of the Atlantic are tracking one of the most serious al-Qaeda attack plans in recent years.
Inspired by al-Qaeda's fugitive core leadership in Pakistan's tribal areas, the plan is understood to include small well-armed commando-style teams of jihadist militants.
The idea is thought to have moved from the aspirational stage to actual planning.
Western security agencies may have been hoping to keep their knowledge of it out of the public spotlight for longer so criminal evidence could be gathered, but initial details were leaked to the US press

Army to Seek Death Penalty Against Fort Hood Shooter
I can't wait to here the Defense Attorneys spin on why Nadil Hasan , Should not be Executed !
Do they still do the Firing Squad in the Military ?
Foxnews
FORT WORTH, Texas -- Military prosecutors sent a notice Wednesday indicating they plan to seek the death penalty against the Army psychiatrist charged in the deadly shooting rampage at Fort Hood, a defense attorney said.
Maj. Nadal Hasan is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder in the Nov. 5 shooting. Premeditated murder carries the death penalty. But if military jurors convict Hasan, they can only sentence him to death if they determine there is an aggravating factor in the case, according to military law.
Defense attorney John Galligan said the notice he received from prosecutors outlines as an aggravating factor that more than one person was killed in the same incident.
"They've done everything except tell me to my face that they plan to seek the death penalty," Galligan told The Associated Press from his office near Fort Hood, about 130 miles (210 kilometers) southwest of Fort Worth.
Military prosecutors have not publicly said what punishment they plan to seek, and Fort Hood officials did not immediately return calls seeking comment Wednesday.
Richard Stevens, an attorney who defends military cases and is not involved in Hasan's case, said crimes that are ineligible for the death penalty do not require jurors to consider aggravating factors.
"The only reason to send a notice of aggravating factors is if you're trying to seek the death penalty," Stevens said.

Senior Yemen al Qaeda leader threatens U.S. attacks
And today we have a new threat from the Yemen wing of Al Qaida .
Should we take this seriously , you bet .
But without actually being able to confirm the threat from Qasim al-Raymi , because their was no Video only a posting on a Forum , there is some question of who it actually comes from !
Qasim is one of those who was killed but now he is alive guys we hear about all the time !
DUBAI (Reuters) - A senior member of al Qaeda's Yemen wing who the Yemeni government said it killed has emerged on an internet forum, threatening to carry out attacks in the United States.
Yemen declared an open war on al Qaeda on its territory last month after the group's regional off-shoot claimed responsibility for a failed bomb attack on a Detroit-bound plane in December that grabbed the world's attention.
"Today, you have attacked us in the middle of our household, so wait for what will befall you in the middle of yours ... We will blow up the earth from beneath your feet," Qasim al-Raymi, the wing's military commander, said in an article posted earlier this month on a website used by Islamist militants.
Yemen said in January it had killed six regional militant leaders in air strikes, but al Qaeda later denied this, and other senior members Sanaa had said were dead, such as deputy leader Saeed al-Shehri, have since re-emerged on websites used by Islamist militants.
In an audio tape posted earlier this month, Shehri, a former inmate of the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, called for a regional holy war and a blockade of the Red Sea to cut off U.S. shipments to Israel.
U.S. intelligence officials say al Qaeda's Yemen wing is emerging as the militant group's most active and sophisticated cell outside the Pakistan-Afghanistan border region.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates has approved more than doubling U.S. funding to train and equip Yemeni security forces to combat al Qaeda, U.S. defense officials said on Monday.

Attack on Church in Egypt leaves 6 Copts dead
A drive by shooting killed at least 6 Coptic worshipers as they left their church after mass. The shooting was apparently revenge for an alleged rape of a muslim girl. Riots also broke out which last for 5 days and left many Christians properties and businesses destroyed.
Proportional response. BBC
At least six Coptic Christians and a security official have been killed in a drive-by shooting outside a church in southern Egypt, officials say.
The shooting came as worshippers left the church in Naj Hammadi after a midnight mass on Coptic Christmas Eve.
A car pulled up and gunfire was sprayed into the crowd.[...]
There were five days of riots in the town, with Christian properties torched and damaged, following the rape.

Pakistan volleyball game attack: Will local opposition to Taliban hold firm?
"in what appears to be another retaliatory strike for recent Army offensives against the Taliban."
Everything is a retalitory strike when it comes to Terrorism .
The problem is that the Taliban always strikes at innocent people who do not Think like them !
Lahore, Pakistan
The death toll from a massive suicide attack at a volleyball tournament in northwest Pakistan mounted to 95 on Saturday, in what appears to be another retaliatory strike for recent Army offensives against the Taliban.
More than 600 civilians have now lost their lives to such attacks since the Pakistan Army began a military offensive in the Taliban stronghold of South Waziristan in October. Friday night’s attack was the second deadliest of these, after a market bombing in Peshawar in October that killed 130.
According to police, the main target of the New Year's Day attack in the town of Lakki Marwat was probably a local anti-Taliban militia, as militants seek to underscore their ongoing potency and counter government claims that they are on the defensive.
But despite the setback, local opposition to the Taliban is likely to remain firm, according to Abdul Basit, a security analyst at the Islamabad based Pakistani Institute for Peace Studies.
“The dynamics currently are that people have understood the fact that Taliban militants have broken the social ethos of Pashtun society,” he says, adding, “I don’t believe it will dampen their resolve.”

Napolitano says 'system worked' with flight 253 attack
The 'system worked'? Are you freaking kidding me. The system completely broke down. The privileged terrorist was allowed on the plane without a passport.
And Napolitano has the nerve to say that the system worked. If it wasn't for the bomb failing and the flight passengers subduing the terrorist, things could have been different. Un-freaking-believable.

Met Police search London flat in US plane attack probe
Yeah Detroit Again ! If the FBI is not investigating everyone and everything Islamic related to Detroit then We have a Problem .
Why is Detroit Consistently In the News when it comes to terrorists?
We have the largest mosque in north America , And the largest concentration of muslims in the U.S..
(It seems obvious why , But )
and now we have to go through even more screening at the Airports ( Good thing I drove home for Christmas ) .
I say profile ! Profile the hell out of Muslim passengers on planes ! Especially when they are coming into the States , it has not been Your average white American Bible thumping , redneck right wing , Gun toting Male , doing this shit all the time , every time it has been a Muslim ! (Or Radical Islamist If that makes you feel Better )
I don't know what else needs to Happen , for profiling to become the Best security screening measure implemented at all Airports !
Police are conducting searches at a mansion block in London in connection with the inquiry into an attempted act of terrorism on a US passenger plane.
Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab, 23, a Nigerian being held after the flight to Detroit, is thought to have been a student at University College London.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said the UK would take "whatever action was necessary" to protect passengers.
UK airport operator BAA said searches on flights to the US would increase.
Meanwhile, a statement on British Airway's website said Washington has revised its security arrangements for all travellers to the US and they would only be allowed one piece of hand luggage.
A BA spokesman said the directive meant US-bound passengers on all airlines would be subjected to additional screening.
"We apologise to passengers for any delays to their journeys. Safety and security are our top priorities and will not be compromised."

US citizen David Headley was in the Mumbai Massacre "control room": confirms Pak Army officials are in on jihad, too.
Here is another prime example of an "al Qaeda Crown Jewel".
From Expressbuzz:
Sources privy to the investigations of the terror suspect's trail in India said 48-year-old Headley was very much present in the room4 from where the 10 LeT terrorists were being guided to various locations during the 26/11 attacks.
The investigators re-visited the intercepts and found that there were specific instructions being given to terrorists about entry and exit including that they had taken more time before reaching their final targets which included Taj Mahal hotel, Oberoi and Trident towers and Nariman House.
India has asked for a voice sample of Headley from the FBI to match with a voice which was unidentified so far for the security agencies. This voice was giving information on exact surroundings of the targets attacked by Lashker-e-Taiba militants. However, there was no firm response from the FBI on providing the same to the Indian investigators, the sources said. (Ed. note: I wonder if this is because Headley is being said to be cooperating with the FBI?)
Other places that Headley was able to get into using his connections as an American?
This is in addition to the actual Mumbai targets: Nariman House, the Taj Mahal hotel, the Leopold Cafe, Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus and the Oberoi-Trident hotels.
The Times Of India is also reporting that:
The FBI interrogation of David Coleman Headley alias Daood Gilani has, for the first time, confirmed what India has always known, army officers" are working in collaboration with India-specific jihadi groups like LeT and JeM.

Pakistan mosque attacks kills 30
Muslim's Killing Muslim's , The Muslim way !
....BBCAt least 30 people have been killed and many injured in a coordinated attack at a mosque in the city of Rawalpindi, Pakistani military officials say.
Reports suggest there was an initial suicide attack during Friday prayers followed by a series of explosions.
Ambulances have rushed to the scene in the busy Qasim Market area of the city.
The Pakistani security forces have been targeted in a series of recent attacks. Nineteen people were killed in an army base attack in Rawalpindi in October.
Military spokesman Maj Gen Athar Abbas said the attack appeared to have been coordinated.
"There were certainly more than one attacker, so there is a possibility that some of them may still be hiding in the vicinity."
The BBC's Orla Guerin, in Rawalpindi, says helicopters are hovering over the city, suggesting the security forces are still looking for attackers that may be on the run.
The area around the mosque has been heavily cordoned off by police.

Rocky Mountain Jihadi may face additional terror charges.
<---- The Rocky Mountain Jihadi in cuffs.
Najibullah Zazi was back in court today and is in "fairly good spirits considering his situation" according to his lawyer. (ahem)
From Bloomberg:
U.S. prosecutors said they may add new criminal charges to the case of Najibullah Zazi, an Afghan accused of planning to detonate a bomb in New York around the anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks.
Zazi, 24, a former airport shuttle-van driver, was engaged in what federal authorities called “a chilling and disturbing sequence of events” which “suggests the defendant was intent on making a bomb and being in New York on 9/11 for purposes of perhaps using such item.”
“It is likely there will be additional charges,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Jeffrey Knox told a federal judge today in a hearing in Brooklyn, New York. “Our anticipation is that we will be seeking a superseding indictment.”
Zazi appeared today before U.S. District Judge Raymond Dearie. He was arrested and charged in September with terrorism conspiracy. He pleaded not guilty and remains in custody and faces as long as life in prison if convicted.
Prosecutors said in court papers that Zazi conspired with at least three others. Knox said previously that the evidence against Zazi is “voluminous” and “the conspiracy here is international in scope.”
Zazi remains in solitary confinement in federal jail in Brooklyn. His next court date is slated for February 16.

How the Ft. Hood jihadi's terror imam got away - an update.
Mind-blowing and unbelievably frustrating.
From the Denver Post:
A Muslim cleric who communicated with the Army psychiatrist accused in the Fort Hood shootings was charged with passport fraud in Colorado in 2002. [...] U.S. Attorney David Gaouette (GOW-ette) in Denver said al-Awlaki was charged with passport fraud after a California agent discovered al-Awlaki lied on a 1990 Social Security application. The imam said he was born in Yemen, instead of Las Cruces, N.M., where he was born in 1971.
But federal prosecutors said Wednesday they dismissed the charge before the cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki, could be arrested because they learned the charge was invalid.
Here's how:
"... Gaouette says prosecutors dismissed those charges a few months later after learning that a Social Security number al-Awlaki used to obtain the passport was valid.)
Here's why:
But after the charge was filed, Gaouette said, prosecutors discovered that al-Awlaki had corrected his place of birth with the Social Security Administration and that his passport application was therefore proper. A 10-year statue of limitations on charges of lying to the Social Security Administration had expired, so prosecutors had no case against the imam.
FYI - The reason he listed his birthplace as Yemen when he filed for this Social Security application? He wanted to be eligible for a foreign student visa. Now, why would he want to do that? FINANCIAL AID.
They discovered that the U.S.-born cleric attended Colorado State University in the early 1990's on an F-1 foreign student visa, stating on the visa application that he was actually born in Yemen and not New Mexico. This enabled authorities to charge Awlaki with passport fraud, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Man, there is steam coming out of my ears, but you know what really ticks me off? If the charges were so invalid then why did the federal prosecutors in Colorado go on to say this?
And even if the passport charge had been pursued, a prosecutor who was among those who called for the dismissal says the imam was unlikely to face much jail time if convicted.
How much jail time according to recent Obama appointee, Gaouette? "Six months, at the most."
That's it? That's all they've got? You have got to be kidding me!
File this one under Reason # 3989 that treating terrorists as ordinary criminals just does not work.

Our long, national nightmare begins. Gitmo terrorist asks judge to dismiss his case.
What right does this terrorist have to our constitutional protections? ---->
From the NYT:
Lawyers for a terrorism suspect once held at Guantánamo Bay who is now facing prosecution in Manhattan asked a judge on Tuesday to dismiss his case on the ground that his nearly five years in detention denied him his constitutional right to a speedy trial.
The terrorism suspect, Ahmed Khalfan Ghailani was captured in Pakistan in 2004, held for two years in secret prisons run by the C.I.A., and then moved in 2006 to the naval base at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. During his detention, he says, he was subjected to cruel interrogation techniques and denied a lawyer.
Although Mr. Ghailani faces charges stemming from a terrorist act that predated the Sept. 11 attacks, his speedy trial motion could foreshadow issues that could arise in the prosecution of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the professed organizer of the 9/11 plot, and four other Guantánamo detainees who were recently ordered sent to New York for trial.
“We respectfully submit that this case presents possibly the most unique and egregious example of a speedy trial violation in American jurisprudence to date,” Mr. Ghailani’s lawyers said in a motion that was heavily censored because of its reliance on classified information.
The motion was originally filed several weeks ago with Judge Lewis A. Kaplan, but it was kept almost entirely under seal pending a review by the government. The new version, with many pages blacked out, was made public on Tuesday.
“This motion asks one primary question,” the lawyers, Peter E. Quijano, Michael K. Bachrach and Gregory Cooper, wrote. “Can national security trump an indicted defendant’s constitutional Right to a Speedy Trial? (sic) We respectfully submit that the answer is emphatically and without qualification, ‘No.’ ”
And this is reason #3987 why these scumbags should not be tried in civilian court.

How the Ft. Hood Jihadi's terror Imam got away...
Anwar al Awlaki, the one that got away. ---->
From ABC News:
A felony arrest warrant for radical Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki was rescinded in 2002 a day before he was intercepted as a terror suspect at New York's JFK airport, forcing authorities to release him, according to sources familiar with the case.
The warrant was cancelled by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Denver, even though Awlaki was on a terror watch list, and even though the office's supervising prosecutor for terror cases -- who has now been named by President Obama as the new U.S. Attorney in Denver -- had been fully briefed on Awlaki's alleged terror ties, according to investigators.
<--- U.S Attorney David Gaouette.
And now this joker says he doesn't know nothin' about nothin'. Nobody else does either.
"The agent says the supervisory assistant U.S. Attorney on the case, David Gaouette, had been fully briefed on Awlaki's suspected terrorism ties. At the time, Gaouette oversaw all terror cases in the Denver-based District of Colorado, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's office.
Gaouette, an assistant U.S. attorney since 1989, was appointed this August by President Obama as the U.S. Attorney for Colorado. When asked why Awlaki's arrest warrant had been rescinded, a public affairs officer said Gaouette was unfamiliar with the particulars of the Awlaki case, and would have to research it before he could comment. Gaouette's office did not reply to a request for a copy of the Awlaki arrest warrant. The clerk's office for the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado was also unable to provide a copy of the warrant, citing the age of the case and the fact that the warrant was rescinded."
I'm mad as hell, too.
"Investigators are mad as hell," said Paul Sperry, "and they have a valid point in asking whether a dozen soldiers would be alive today if they'd been allowed to put the screw to Awlaki when they had the chance."

UK: 4 charged in terror arrests - "Religious leader" goes free
And there's STILL no mention of the "Religious Leader's" name! There's no mention here, here or here either. Imam got their tongue, I wonder? (They may have let him go but it looks like they got a couple of Shayk Asif Farooqui's relatives, though.)
From BBC News:
Four men have been charged with terror-related offences after raids last week, Greater Manchester Police have said.
Israr Malik, 21, of Fallowfield, Manchester, has been charged with intending to commit acts of terrorism, namely violent jihad.
Three others face charges of intending to assist others to commit terrorism.
They are Munir Farooqi, 52, of Longsight, Haris Farooqi, 26, of Levenshulme, both in Manchester, and Matthew Newton, 27, of Stalybridge.
Munir Farooqi, the father of Haris Farooqi, was also charged with three counts of soliciting or encouraging another to murder on 6 July, 15 October and 16 October this year.
All four are due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Monday.
A fifth man, aged 62, from Deane, Bolton, was released without charge. He is understood to be a Muslim cleric.
Update: Is this Israr Malik's Facebook page? (I don't want to friend him.)
Update: About Matthew Newton:
Matthew Newton w/ Bez before Islamization. --->
Newton was reported to have previously run a clothing business with the son of the former Celebrity Big Brother winner Bez, of the Happy Mondays band.
For his part, Bez sez -
According to Britain's The Sun tabloid, Matthew Newton, who once ran a T-shirt firm with Bez's (real name Mark Berry) son, Arlo, was arrested with four men aged 21 to 67 in a sweep on Monday.
"It's shocking for me and my dad," Arlo told The Sun. "Matt's a top geezer. I've known him for two or three years. He got on with my dad and with everyone."
The Sun reports Newton converted to Islam two years ago. It also says his Facebook page shows in clean-shaven with Bez at one point, and later wearing "Muslim garb" and sporting a beard.
Bez's spokesperson told The Sun Newton's arrest has "nothing to do with Bez."

White House Study Looks at Job Creation in IL if Gitmo Prisoners Transferred There
Didn't I tell you the ix-fay was in?
From ABC News:
President Obama's Council of Economic Advisers has prepared an economic analysis of job creation if the federal government takes over the underutilized Thomson Correctional Center in Illinois for the purposes of housing detainees currently at Guantanamo Bay, as the Obama administration is strongly considering doing.
Over the first four years, the CEA assesment states, the facility would create 840 - 910 temporary jobs and 3,180 - 3,880 ongoing jobs, increasing local earnings by a cumulative $793 to $1,015 million.
"Approximately 80% of all of the jobs created by the facility will be held by people residing in Illinois, while people in Iowa will fill the remaining jobs," the study states. "These jobs could reduce the unemployment rate in Carroll County, Illinois, where Thomson is located, by 2 to 4 percentage points."
You can find the report here. (I'm printing it out to fisk later.)

Afghanistan: Serena Hotel hit by rocket attack, 4 injured.
Update: Looks like we have our culprit.
From Press TV:
From the LA Times:
The Serena, Afghanistan's only five-star hotel, was the scene of a major attack in January 2008, when it was stormed by gunmen and suicide bombers in a coordinated assault that killed seven people. Security was tightened after that strike, and the hotel now resembles a fortress. With a night's stay costing more than most Afghans earn in a month, the clientele is nearly all foreign.
Police officers and soldiers cordoned off the area after the early-evening attack, which left a small pile of rubble near the perimeter wall. Witnesses said one of the injured was a policeman and the other appeared to be a civilian.
Insurgents have been lobbing rockets into the capital with increasing frequency. The poorly aimed projectiles, usually fired from the city's outskirts, rarely cause serious damage or injuries, but do generate a sense of unease.
The Serena was also hit by a rocket Oct. 28, the same day of the attack on the U.N. guesthouse. Eight people, including five U.N. workers, died in the guesthouse siege, which prompted the United Nations to move hundreds of workers to other parts of Afghanistan or out of the country. A number of humanitarian groups followed suit.

Could KSM seek asylum if 'that trial thing' doesn't work out for some reason?
That's what several US Senators want to know. Dinah would too.
From the NY Daily News
Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee today are demanding to know the immigration status of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and other 9/11 plotters, should they be brought to the United States to stand trial.
Their fear is that KSM and his henchmen might seek asylum under immigration laws, setting all kinds of worrisome precedents.
“As you can imagine, even if they are not ultimately eligible for relief, terrorist detainees may seek legal rights under our immigration laws or assert such rights in federal court, thereby setting a precedent that could have grave consequences for the American public,” they write in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. “These consequences should weigh heavily in any decision President Obama and the administration make about transfer of these detainees to the United States.”
So, in this scenario, these characters who would be brought here to face a death penalty trial, also would ask the United States for asylum here. Uh oh. What if they can buy insurance under the Senate health reform bill? Hmmm…
The letter can be found here.
