Lizzie Kate finish

Middle of last week I finished off Ice Cream from Lizzie Kate's Sweet Tooth Boxers Jr

Which means I finished the set off :)

I used good old DMC for it and changed a few of the colours as I went because I wasn't happy with the suggested ones for the GAST used in the original.
It's now safely tucked away in the drawer until I have the energy & ££ to sort out framing it for my kitchen

A finish and some progress

I've been working on Lizzie Kate's Sweet Treats boxers the last couple of weeks and have now completed the 3rd one in the set ~ Candy

Ice Cream is well underway as you can see so with any luck I'll get it finished this next week

Wedding gift finish

Fella's son is getting married next month and he asked me to stitch a wedding sampler for him.
After much searching around he finally settled on this one, Just Married Snippet from Lizzie Kate.

I didn't have any of the called for colours apart from one so we spend a couple of hours one afternoon playing about with what I did have and various possible fabrics until this combo was settled upon, I think it turned out rather well :)

It's very odd for me to be organized so far in advance! normally I'd be finishing it a day or so before it's needed and putting it in a ready made frame on the morning.

LK Boxer finish

Last week I decided it was time to finish Pie off from the Lizzie Kate Sweet Tooth Junior boxers.
Last time it appeared on a post it only had the border but I'd also done the brown inner border although that wasn't on the pic.
I spent all last week on it and by Friday evening it looked like this, I could of finished it on Saturday but really wanted to get on with my postbox :)

An hour or so on Monday night once I got home from bowls and it was finished

Progress, new start and a finish

A long over due for you this evening.

I went away on a stitching based holiday to Scarborough 2 weeks ago today and I've back a week and not posted a thing about it :(  so I'll start with the stitching I did while I was there.

Friday night saw Alchemical Romance get some attention and a few more motifs appeared

Sat and Sunday saw me working on In the post as normal, this pic is way out of date now because I has last weekend on it as well and I'm now over half way with it :)

The last project I worked is Lizzie Kate's Sweet Tooth boxers.
They have been sat in my stash for years waiting their turn and it finally arrived :)
As you can see I started and finished Cupcake and got the border for Pie done

Once I got home I got the inner border done on pie but no pic of that  and it's just a few lines of brown so pretty boring really.

I did it :)

Squeezed one last finish into 2015 :)

Lizzie Kate's Special Edition kit 2007.

Sara Basil is a Dimples Design's chart, I have no idea if it's still available tho as mine was a PHD for over 10 years!

With a mere 6 minutes to 2016 I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and may it be a happy and craft filled year for you

Stitching updates

Once again I didn't get round to posting my stitching progress last week so here we go.

I spent Monday - Friday last week working on Halloween Moon, the model for Sparklies

I spent Saturday and Sunday with Splendor aka Mel's Rose and got loads done on it, shame it wasn't IHSW cause that's what I did!

And Monday - Friday this week I've been working on Ho Ho Ho

I finished the Halloween Flip It's for Sparklies
It's on 28 count Lugana Gingerbread with all the called for GAST and WDW

It'll be on show at Ally Pally this weekend (assuming Royal Mail does it's job) so drop by the Sparklies stand and have a look

This week's stitching

I started and finished Fright and made a start on brew.  There are just 3 to go after brew and I'm hoping to to get at least one of them done along with brew this next week.

And for the first time in a couple of months I've worked on 4 seasons sampler and almost finished the floral band.  I've really missed this one and will give it's lots of TLC once the halloween flip its are done

Halloween Flip It's

I realised a couple of days ago when working on this that I hadn't shared an update for a while so here it is.
I'm over half way now and in case your thinking they look a little odd it's because I've not put the buttons on yet I'll do that when I finish.

Yes your in the right place......

Just in case you thought you weren't with me posting a Halloween project :)
It's not for me so don't fall off your seat with shock at Halloween appearing on my blog (if your a new reader and wondering what I mean, I don't do Halloween at all can't stand it)
I'm stitching it as a model for Sparklies  Kate had asked someone else to stitch it for her knowing I don't like Halloween but for health reasons they weren't able to continue so I was called on.

You should all recognise it as Lizzie Kate's Halloween Flip It's.
Neither pic does the fabric justice it's much more pink IRL and I quite like it which for someone that doesn't do pink either is good going!

As it came to me

And after a couple of days working on it.

My plan is work on it for a day or so every week and that way I shouldn't have any trouble meeting the deadline.

Happy Dance

I've been working on this on and off since Jan and finished it last night.
Please excuse the wrinkles, I did run the iron over it and it looks just fine IRL but not it seems on camera!

July's ornament

I went with Lizzie Kate's Cozy Christmas Wishes freebie last month for my ornament on a scrap from my stash and it's backed with the fabric it's lying on

Happy Dance

I put the last stitches in on ABC Christmas in the early hours of the morning while I waited for Mel to get home from lectures at the Natural History Museum in London

ABC Christmas update

I've been giving this some attention the last few days and I'm almost finished. I could of easily carried on with it and finished it this month but I decided that if I did that I may not get the other things stitched this month that I want to so look out for a happy dance early next month.

Thank you for all you good wishes for Caleb he will be getting a spiker cast put on tomorrow and will probably be in hospital until Monday at least. Mel and I are hoping to get down there on Monday to see him, keep your fingers crossed for us

ABC Christmas update

I've been spending a little time in the evening's working on ABC Christmas so have a little progress to show you.

The model is going well but I'm starting to get really fed up of black now, oh well it'll be worth it in the end.

Mel has now started at Uni and although she's only done 2 days so far she tells me she's enjoying it. She has also passed her interview to become an adult at cadets, she'll spend 3 weekends next month doing the training course for it unfortunately one of them includes her birthday.

Quick update

I spent most of this last week working on ABC Christmas and I'm almost half done now

Updates and a gift

I've been busy stitching away but the project that's had most attention is for an exchange so I can't share yet but other projects got a little love this last weekend on the annual stitching GTG I attend every year with a group of UK Stitchers.
First up is Mary Busby, I'm hoping to finish her this month

ABC Christmas got a little more attention

And Triangularity went with me but never made it out of it's pouch to be worked on but it was admired, another one I'm hoping to finish this month.

And lastly on the way home I stopped off at Hobbycraft with Paula and Pat before taking them to the station and Paula surprised me with these.

Finishes and an award

While my wrist was at it's worse I couldn't stitch on anything that needed Q snaps but I was OK with a small scroll frame so I made the most of it and got on with a couple of SOLAK squares.
Both are for the same quilt and in the list of her likes she had said Belive, Dream, Wish and Lizzie Kate's douple flip its jumped up in my mind as the perfect thing to do, it's just a shame there isn't a wish to complete the set.

Dream is stitched straight, it's the scan that's wonky

Chris gave me the lovely Sunshine award almost a week ago and with one thing or another I've not got round to posting so here it is.

I am told this award is for bloggers who inspire others with positivity and creativity. The rules for accepting the award are:

1. Put the logo on your blog or within your post.

2. Pass the award to 12 bloggers.

3. Link the nominees within your post.

4. Let them know they received this award by commenting on their blog.

5. Share the love and link to the person from whom you received this award.

Normally I would follow the rules and pass it on to 12 others but given that I've had it for almost a week now and have seen it on loads of blogs (most of which are one's I would of picked) I think that I should just say that if you read my blog and someone hasn't already given you this award already then it's yours to enjoy.
