They are in two different, but both dark and interesting period drama serials. Ripper Street   starring  Matthew Macfadyen  (as  Detective Inspector Edmund Reid ) returns with Season 3 (which first premiered   on  Amazon Prime Instant Video 's online streaming last year , November 14th, 2014  at 9 PM and aired every Friday ) and will be premiering later this month on Wednesday , April 29th , at 10 PM ET on BBC America! While Tamzin Merchant (as Anne Hale ) is back in the Season 2 premiere of WGN America's Salem this week and on Easter Sunday , April 5th at 10 PM ET! A few new Season 3 Stills for Ripper Street   starring  Matthew Macfadyen  (as  Detective Inspector Edmund Reid ) has been released   via BBC America . As previously posted here last February, this series has been saved and will return for  Season 3 in   Amazon Prime Instant Video online streaming next month on Friday, November 14th at 9 PM (every Friday , according to this UK Mirror article ). Also, great news for those who are not subscribed to Amazon Prime, it is said to be airing on TV after all, in both UK's BBC One and BBC America sometime in 2015 . Almost two years ago, I posted here that  Tom Hollander 's   Rev.   series, has been  renewed for Season 3 .  BBC Two  had ordered a  third series  of the comedy  Rev.  The show, which stars  Tom Hollander  and Olivia Colman, focuses on the struggles of an inner-city vicar.  It was reported that it won't air until sometime in  2014 , and now that year has come and not only it's returning for season 3, a premiere date and promotional photo (above) has been posted and announced for the series on its official Facebook page: Rev.   Hallelujah! The new series of REV. returns March 24th at 10pm on BBC Two I managed to see a few episodes of S1 on Hulu a couple years ago when S1 was streaming (for free) and they were pretty good.

Great news (and in this very early morning too, US east coast time!)!!! BBC America 's  crime mini-series   Ripper Street   starring  Matthew Macfadyen  (as  Detective Inspector Edmund Reid ) has been saved and will return for Season 3 with Amazon Prime Instant Video and BBC teaming up to revived the prematurely axed series in the UK. Meanwhile, the U.S. just started watching Season 2 (with episode 1 that premiered last Saturday, February 22nd ) on BBC America.
